We got this because the vet recommended it to encourage our cat to drink more.I was sceptical and so was the cat for the first few days, but after a week the cat loved it and now drinks from the fountain most of the time. So 5 stars on that front.My only niggle is the light- if you only wash the fountain once a week, there is algae growing in the fountain around the light. I'm not sure why it needs to be there at all but there's no way to turn it off. Also, I couldn't say the pump is quiet, but it is quite a full sound that we are completely used to and don't notice.So all in all, 5 stars for the fountain, and minus a star for the light (annoying at night and catalyst for the algae, and no way to turn it off).

I bought this for my cat because she's obsessed with taps. She absolutely loves it - she will sit and stare at the water trickling from the flower and run her paw under it. I'm a little less in love with it after two months of use.It was super quiet initially but now the water noise can be heard throughout the house unless I take the flower attachment off. Unfortunately, she won't drink from it without the flower. I top up the water every day, clean it once a week and replaced the filter after a month but nothing has helped.I would still recommend it because my cat does love it and it definitely encourages her drinking but it is something to be aware of. Also, the night light can't be turned off and is a very bright blue.

I was quite happy with the product initially. However both of my cats have developed cat acne. After much research and the fact that this was the only new thing I've introduced I am certain this product is the cause.
Great fountain. Good size and I like the water level gage. Tells me when to refill. My two cats took a few days to use it and adjust. Even my kelpie cross/collier now uses it. LED light in the dark is great idea. Easy to set up and does need monthly filter changes but bulk filter pack doesn't cost too much. Glad I purchased this. Note I did remove the flower and water is just like a bubbler now.
The Catit fountain has definitely encouraged my cats to drink more. After they realised it wasn't a water theme park they figured out the best spots to drink. Even my flighty foster kittens enjoy the communal watering hole. Worth every cent. Thanks Catit.

I bought it because I noticed my cat would often try to 'shake' her water bowl, tipping it over sometimes and making a mess. She drinks quite a lot, but I could tell she wasn't really happy with the still water, whereas she was fascinated whenever I ran a bath! She doesn't drink out of taps though, like some cats I've met. With the flower removed, this fountain provides a bowl with fresh filtered water that is constantly moving and she LOVES it. It's always a gamble buying things for cats because what one loves another ignores but this has been a huge success. I've stopped giving mine wet food because she prefers the dry ... Call me crazy but I have 2 different water fountains for my cat, and she loves this one better than the other one. It is also easier to clean & better to look at than the other one. I just wish I could change the colour of the blue light, the light itself also serves a double purpose as a night light.
My 5 cats loved our previous cat fountain but it was time to replace it and this one seemed like a good fit. It holds quite a bit of water and the pump works really well, which keeps the fountain clean for a long time. The only downside is that it is not very wide so my cats who like to drink from the main tank instead of the flower have a hard time fitting their heads in between. Other than that, it has been a really good purchase overall.
Very quiet, works well.However there seems to be no way to turn the led light off, which is very unfortunate as it is extremely bright and the cats avoid it at night. Upsetting considering I chose this over a cheaper model specifically because it didn't advertise having led.
