There is a lot of value in this kit, considering the variety of plates it comes with, it is priced very fairly. There's also a lot of value considering it comes with barbells and dumbbells. The wide sections of knurled grip make this bar good for a variety of exercises. The spin lock collars and the bar seem to have sections of rubber which grip the plates firmly, yet non-abrasively. It's very common with other spin lock collars to become loose, particularly with curls. But I've noticed that while using these dumbbells/barbell, it's very rare that the weight plates get loose while exercising, so long as you tighten the collars firmly. It would be more beneficial for customers if the item came with all of the specifications e.g., the weight of the bar(s) and the ... MoreThere is a lot of value in this kit, considering the variety of plates it comes with, it is priced very fairly. ((The barbell seems to weight around 6.6kg, with the spin lock collars weighing an average of about 0.190kg.)) Maximum weight capacity is also very important but I haven't been able to find information regarding it.I have noticed that there is some whip to the bar which helps with dead lifting. So far I've only loaded 70kg onto the bar, but it seems like it may be able to handle a little bit more. I would be cautious if you intend to load this bar with over 100 kg, and I recommend looking for alternatives if you intend to go higher in weight. The case makes for convenient storage, however the plates held in the upper section often fall out.Overall, I think this set is great, but I would mainly recommend it to beginner lifters, or people who don't intend to lift heavy. I intend to begin training for power lifting so I will eventually see how much weight it's capable of handling.

Its a great sturdy set with cast iron weights and comes with an additional 180cm bar. The holes and bar are standard and fit other makes of weights (not Olympic). The only let down is the packaging. The plastic storage box with wheels is great, but one of the two close latches were already broken when arrived and when you close the top lid a couple of weights fall out of place. A small annoyance. Non the least I would purchase it again. Click and collect only ... delivery charge is outrageous. 4.5 stars!

The Celsius 50kg weight set offers excellent value for money for the beginner, and/or for those who cannot always make it to the gym.Accordingly, in purchasing the accompanying Celsius kettle bell set [i.e., 4kg, 6kg, 8kg, 12kg, 16kg, 20kg, 24 kg] then I have managed to assemble enough equipment for a full workout for around $500.00 on sale, thereby making it quite a good investment overall. Moreover, whilst the plastic travel case is functional to get your new weights home it is of a lower quality than the weights themselves, that are cast with a high level of precision. So, I think the average buyer will be happy with this purchase in assembling their home gyms.

Easy to assemble. Weights stay in place once collars are firmly wound onto the dumbells and babells. Ability to mix and match weights is good though change over takes a bit longer due to need to spin weights on or off the bar. Some weight plates had some rough edges. Make sure you protect your floor as metal plates need a bit more cushioning to protect your floor if using on floorboards or on concrete outside that will danage smooth finish on plates. Happy with my purchase overall. If you want metal plates this barbell/ dumbell combo is a good buy.
The weights included are enough to get started, it may be necessary to purchase additional plates later. The collars are a little inconvenient to put on but are very secure. The plates in the top half of the case do not click in properly, nor do the dumbbell bars. This means that every time the case is opened or closed they fall onto the larger plates in the bottom of the case, causing some chipping to the paint.
it is a great buy. Locks keep coming lose, takes too long to change locks to big bar but its ok. Maybe add more locks in box for extra safety and help saving time. Takes 20 minutes of been a spin doctor to change up weights or putting them back to another bar again. Other than that really good, train everyday now. Even getting the box into the trolley was a workout, I landed in the trolley trying to get the box out. Oh and nearly landed in the boot of me car too,,lol. Its ok I made it though and didn't need a pre warm up either thanks to the trolley an boot dive lifts.
I’m very pleased with weight set. Me to strength training I wanted to invest in adjustable weights I can store in my bedroom. The barbell is much longer than I expected -too long to fit in my wardrobe- but it fits under my bed. Screwing and unscrewing the locking nuts is fiddly but easy to do when resting between sets. The kit is heavy but the team at the shop brought it to my car for me. I had to transport it piecemeal from my car to my house - my first workout session!
I Purchased this set so I can work out at home while the Gyms are close due to Lockdown. This is reasonably priced. The finish of the plates is very nice and should last well if looked after. I.e try and keep off the concrete to protect them.I’m not a big fan of spindle lock bars but they work okay. They do tend the become loose when lifting. Makes sure the rubber ring does not fall out or they won’t lock as tight. The bar is only 180cm. Or 6”. So if you plan on buying a Squat rack or similar this bar might not be long enough as most Racks are designed for a 7” bar. Do your homework first.
Celsius 50 kg dumbbell and barbell set. 40kg of plates, plus dumbbell pair 1.5kg each, and 6ft (183 cm) 7 kg barbell.www.rebelsport.com.au/p/celsius-50kg-weight-set-406383.htmlCurrently, (March 2020) cast iron enamelled weight plates are about $4 a kg (can vary, but that is a common point), so 40kg for $140 is already under the going rate, and a pair of dumbbells worth $35 and a 6 ft barbell worth $50 could be considered a very useful bonus. Value before assessing quality: potentially Excellent.NOTE WELL: Firstly, make sure you get the star spin lock collars on your barbell. Picking up from the Rebel dock, I was given the 43kg plastic carry case ("carton 1 of 2"), and the barbell (2 of 2) in a plastic sleeve, but with NO collars on the barbell. The store manager who attended conducted himself in a very pleasant manner, though after we opened up the plastic case and confirmed that there were only four collars for the two dumbbells, he suggested that I could spin two collars off a dumbbell when I use the barbell. I responded that that was not realistically feasible, and in any case, every barbell should have its own collars, and I was sure that the picture of the barbell in that set on the Rebel web site had collars on it – it would be very misleading to supply the barbell without collars. He was somewhat doubtful, but after I more or less insisted that he check the other barbells in stock to see if they all didn't have collars, he returned with two collars which he described as spares, and, after checking that they fitted on the barbell he had given me (they did match the dumbbell collars as well), I had my correct total of SIX collars for this dumbbell and barbell set.Of course, after getting home and inspecting the case label, it clearly states explicitly that the set comes with six star spin lock collars, four for the dumbbell pair and two for the barbell. Also, I re-checked the Rebel web site page for the item, and the picture clearly shows spin lock collars for the dumbbells and the barbell. So make sure you get your barbell spin lock collars. Now for the quality of the item itself. I purchased because I needed a third barbell and some extra weight plates. An extra dumbbell pair gives further flexibility. The weight plates seem lovely. They are nicely painted in a black-dappled dark grey, which does not clash with my black weights, and they are coated in a hard lacquer, which I feel should protect them from rust if you don't severely scratch them up – the downside is they are a bit slippery when piling them on top of each other. The dumbbells and barbell are serviceable, that is, normal compared to my others. The spin lock collars are a little smaller than my others, but not in a way to impact functionality. I note that the thread on the dumbbells and barbell, although the same between each other, is different to my other dumbbells and barbells, which isn't a problem, just means the collars aren't interchangeable with my other dumbbells and barbells. They don't have to be.So overall I rate the quality and value of this item as Excellent.Just remember to make sure you get your barbell spin lock collars.Note on "standard" size bars and weight plates. I have included this information as I do not feel it is widely known, and may be of some use. Weights and the barbells and dumbbells that fit them come in two well-known sizes: Olympic and standard – except that there are two "standard" sizes, and it can matter. In short, "professional" gym stores and suppliers use a 30mm diameter centre hole in their "standard" weight plates and have barbells with a 27-28 mm diameter – they fit each other. Sports stores, like Rebel and its competitors, use a "standard" one inch (25.4 mm) or thereabouts bar diameter. I have measured with my digital Vernier calipers from 24.5 to 25.6 mm. These sports stores' weight plates have a centre hole diameter from 26 to 26.5 mm, so they fit each other too. But, and here comes the point of it, since the sports stores' weight plates have holes (26 to 26.5 mm ) that are smaller than the gym equipment stores' barbells (27-28 mm), your sports stores' "standard" weight plates cannot fit onto the gym stores' "standard" barbells. I have had this experience, and when I returned the gym store "standard" size barbell because none of my collection of weight plates fit onto it, the store manager was unhappy, and told me that he has this problem "once every three days". After a bit of belly-aching though, he did refund me. I have observed both of these "standard" sizes on ebay as well, where customers have bought gym store "standard" size bars online that all their sports store bought weight plates won't fit on. So as long as you know this, I don't believe there is a problem. The vast majority of us buy our initial barbells, dumbbells and weights from sports stores (these include BW and Km weights and bars as well – I have checked), so if you continue to buy this smaller "standard" size, all plates fit onto all bars, as far as I have known and experienced. It is when you go to "gym supplies" stores that you should make sure you take a couple of your weight plates with you, to check that they will fit on any barbells or dumbbells you may buy. My experience is that they didn't. Well, if you read this far, I hope that helps you.
That it is very useful for home gym exercises but will come in two seperate parts. The weights are accurate to their measurements and provide a good confidence boost with edgy workout regardless of have to re tighten the weight every once and awhile.Should also probably invest ing loves if you have sensitive hands as prolonged gripping is somewhat irritating but not off putting.Overall a terrific buy and would recommend for all wanting to start a home gym. Easy to pack and conceal as well as store safely and securely without being an eye sore.
