I'm basing this review on the previous battery. It lasted four years before being retired to be my shed battery. It was only 'retired' because of age and I was concerned that it could fail unexpectedly while at sea. The capacity is more than I need but I do that just to be sure I have reserve should I need it. The old one is still going strong in the shed!

You cannot beat this battery for value; I run a dual setup with one battery directly connected for ignition and the other runs my cray winch, sounders, lights and radio. If you keep a trickle charge in these batteries they’ll last 5+ years

The battery sat in my garage for a year before I decided to use it so I put it on a Ctek battery charger/conditioner. Took it to Supercheap and had it tested to see if it was OK. To our amazement it measured 918CCA !!! More than the rated 780CCA. Assuming the testing device was accurate, it's a great battery or great charger/re-conditioner or both.

Time to replace the old battery. Got 5 years out of the same model. Only changed because it wasnt an instant start anymore. Changed before it became a problem. Good quality battery that has exceeded its expectations.

Readily available, good price, good service and excellent product. Did not come with terminal nuts though. This complicated what should have been a simple fitting job. The nuts were the same size, but different thread supplied with the old battery which was a different brand. Supplying the correct nuts would be a relatively simple and cheap addition to an otherwise fantastic product.

I bought this battery to use as an auxiliary for my 4WD, nothing on the Features sheet indicated it would not serve that purpose and I used it only occasionally to run my Engel Fridge.I am not certain as I had not used the Engel for several weeks but I know It expired 3 weeks out of its 2 year warranty, I was disappointed as I thought it would last longer.Short story in any event is that regardless is there is no and never was any warranty unless it is only used only in a Marine Capacity, this is advised on very fine print on the battery, shame the Features Tech sheets don't say that, I only found this out after the eventI note other reviews where persons had bought the battery for cars and caravans.
After a top quality replacement battery for my boat - no cutting corners in this regard as you can't push start a boat! Century Marine are just that, and Supercheap had them at the best price locally. Did a click and collect - no dramas, all straighforward and quick.
Considerably heavier than your standard sedan battery as is to be expected from a battery with thicker plates and a high capacity like this.Highly advise wearing toe and finger protection - this thing destroyed a composite toe protection in my workboots - after only a very minor slip - perhaps a chainblock might be better next time.I fitted it to one of my two military vehicles with 4L Isuzu diesels, ahead of the winter chill - anticipating battery failures.It starts with no issue and keeps a slightly higher voltage at rest than previous batteries I have had (13.9v).
