Recently I've really been struggling with some pretty bad acne on my chin and around my mouth, so when I found a sample of their Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser I was relieved. In the short amount of time that I've been using this cleanser, it's been helping to clear up my face quite a bit. Now, although this is called a "foaming" cleanser, I've found that it doesn't really foam up that much. Nor was it that "creamy" either. It has more of a regular face wash consistency, or like hand soap, and seems to lather a little like soap in your hands. This doesn't mean that it doesn't work though. It contains 4% Benzoyl Peroxide, so it has really helped to clear up my acne. When I say acne, I must clarify too, that I mean multiple, multiple, huge, painful, red spots all along my chin and around my mouth. There were also a few regular pimples as well that are all but cleared up with only a few uses. Surprisingly, this cleanser made my skin feel very soft. It did not dry out my skin like a lot of other acne cleansers can tend to. My skin also feels much smoother and perfectly balanced. It does not feel greasy or oily during the day. My face felt calm and soothed after using it, also a surprising feeling to have after using an acne wash. I have combo/sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts as well as hormonal breakouts and my choice of skincare is essential. I actually used it on areas of my body where I was struggling with ingrown hairs because benzoyl peroxide cleansers are recommended to help with that issue, and it worked marvelously. There are warnings on the packaging about sensitive skin and while the skin on my body tends to be quite sensitive, it didn’t react badly to this cleanser at all. This product did slightly dry out my skin, but it wasn’t anything drastic. This product really works. It helps get rid of the acne you have and prevents you from getting anymore. Although this is a acne face wash product my Dermatologist recommended that I use it on my body as well. I now use this product everytime I take a shower on my back, arms, shoulders, and chest to avoid getting any body acne. I also use this product once a week on my face along with my other treatments and it has made it so I only get a couple small pimples occasionally that go away very quickly. This product also doesn’t dry my skin out from using it. I highly recommend this Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser by Cerave to anyone who wants a product that is effective at caring for acne and that is affordable. It really is the best.

Finally something that works! I had to stop using my proactiv 😢 because I started Tretinoin for the anti-aging benefits and I knew I was going to break out like a mf but surprisingly my skin cleared up because I used a product that destroyed it before i started Tretinoin… about 4 weeks later I started breaking out on my jawline which I believe was due to using oil cleanser in the morning but nothing was helping so my derm told me to grab this bp wash and let me tell you! Within one day my beak outs were completely gone! I’m obsessed with this stuff and I’m stocking up! The best part is it’s moisturizing because it’s full of great ingredients like ceramides and hyaluronic acid… I’ve never used more than one product from a line and I have 5 so far that I love! thank ... MoreFinally something that works! I have the most sensitive skin, have suffered from hormonal cystic acne majority of my life now, from 13-24, and this is the only acne targeting face wash I’ve ever used that actually works. Not only does it not break me out, it dries my acne up over night. Of course they don’t go away immediately but I get control of them and my pores have actually shrunk so much! First product to start clearing up my blackheads and I’m amazed. It’s strong enough to target what’s there and gentle enough to maintain the natural skin barrier without irritating my skin that’s not broken out. I love this brand and their products so much! Highly recommend. P.S. I don’t use it every day because it does have drying properties!

Effective acne fighting cleanser for adults and teens

I use this product on my neck, back and chest in the shower every day. I break out on my neck now since I'm perimenopausal. I break out on my back and chest from working out. If I notice any pimples or blackheads arise on my face then I'll use it on those locations and within in a day or two the acne is gone or greatly minimized. It truly works very well to treat and prevent acne. In addition, my 13 year old son has developed acne and is using it intermittently on his face. If he uses it consistently it does clear up his face without drying it out. This formulation doesn't dry out your face like other acne fighting products can. I have sensitive, mildly dry skin and it's not irritated at all with this product. It's fantastic!

It works

I use lots if cerave products and This stuff is the truth. I have been consistently using for 3 weeks now and it’s clearing up my acne. I am still getting a few bumps but thats expected when starting a new acne treatment. But the bumps that are appearing a much smaller and go away quicker. It can drying so I’ve been making sure to moisturize. My very first time trying this was last year and I overdid it. I was using it way too often. This time around I took my time and gradually worked my way to increasing my usage. I’m sure over the next few weeks/months my face will be completely clear. Now all I have to worry about is post acne marks/hyperpigmentation.

I like this cleanser so far. It is definitely helping reduce my acne, though it is a bit drying/irritating. I probably need to find a better moisturizer to use it with though. I will say, the name of it is misleading because this product does not "foam" at all. But it's a nice cleanser that seems to be helping my acne, and I think I am having better results/less irritation using a cleanser with BP as opposed to a leave on lotion. The price point seems a little high for the amount of product but it's not too bad. I also don't love the packaging, because tubes tend to get water logged in the shower between the tube and the cap. Overall, I am liking this and plan to continue using and will likely repurchase.
