I try to avoid this type of method for taking off makeup, but sometimes I slack end up using them. Especially on the stubborn eye area. I tried these in the past didn’t like them. The “new” on the packaging caught my eye in-store wow I’m glad I gave these another chance. Not sure if these really are new improved or not, but they seem to be. Sooo gentle extra moist. By gentle I mean that the actual wipe material feels soft gentle compared to others I’ve used. Glides right across my face without a rough scratchy feel. If you have a habit of using makeup removing wipes or need them in a pinch I recommend these.

I would definitely say to test small area of your skin before going for it. Be safe!

Burn Baby Burn

Makeup wipes are inherently harsh on your skin, because the amount of pressure required to remove your makeup—especially mascara and eyeliner—is already way too irritating. My face burns and turns red temporarily after using. I rarely use these due to the burning. I’ve also tried putting water in the package to weaken it… still burns. It takes at least 3-4 wipes to get all my make up off ( I use Mac Cosmetics). However, once I wash my with the CeraVe hydrating face wash and use the intensive healing ointment, I’m 100% better. Don’t buy wipes, use an oil cleanser instead.

Clean face even when tired or depressed

I have used other face washing cloths that only feel like they are getting my face wet. My face actually felt CLEAN after using these. There is no scent, which I appreciate. Heavy scents can be distracting from falling asleep. I get these and keep them in my bedroom so I always go to sleep with a clean face no matter how tired or depressed I am. They completely removed even heavy glitter eye makeup. And my face actually felt less dry when I woke up. CeraVe is a top quality brand and this combines that quality with convenience.

I was using the EWG app while in Ulta and decided to look at my normal makeup wipes.. wow too many allergy/chemical concerns. So I go looking for better options and these fit the bill... fast forward to me actually using them and my eyes have been BURNING and DRY for 30 hours now. I was worried it was the new moisturizer but I'm convinced it's these things based on the reviews sounding exactly like my issues. Irritated my face but particularly my eyes, I've been using drops for redness, allergies, & even just normal lubricant eye drops.. it's a mess over here and I'm returning these ASAP. So disappointed. Trying to be healthy/aware of things and got so excited about these "ultra gentle" "fragrance free" "non drying" wipes. It burns & numbs my face but the results were like wow!

After making a complete mess of my face by over using chemical peels and learning about ph levels and the acid mantle, my research lead me to the Cerave line of which it is rumored the ph levels are low and their self claim of restoring the skin barrier is exactly what I'm looking for in a product. So imagine my surprise that upon first use, this product Burned. It then began to numb my face. With my face skin showing signs of an imbalanced barrier ( reddness, acne, cyst, fine lines, tightness and dryness) I asked my son to try one. He is 22 yrs old and doesn't use cosmetics and had gorgeous skin. In fact, he says he only uses water to wash his face and he hadn't cleaned his face at all in the last 24 hrs till i asked him to try this. So since my whole face burned I concluded my skin is more sensitive because of my isssues which is why I purchase this. I also purchased because while I absolutely swear by Shesheido wipes which have a ph level of 5.5 and can do NO wrong, its $20 and I wanted a cheaper alternative. The burning stopped after a while ( product did not burn my eyes nor did I use the peel on them) and gradually began to numb my face just like "Yes to cucumbers soothing paper mask". I wonder what ingredient they put in it to cause that.The finish however was clean, hydrated and for a product that uses cheap mineral oil at the top of ingrediants!, i had no shine but rather a natural to demi matte finish! I'm in love! I highly recommend if you do not have sensitive skin and I can see that when my entire face ( and not just my eyes) restores its acid mantle I'll be able to use this minus the burn.

I see the other reviews that it burns them, and I don't doubt it because the CeraVe hydrating face wash does that to me when I'm very dry and cracked. However right now I have a really solid moisture barrier, so I have absolutely no issues. They work well, are super soft, and don't leave my face feeling dry. I specifically bought them because I was looking for something with a baby wipe texture. These are definitely that. I really like them, worth a try imo!

Not "ultra gentle" at all!

I love the daily moisturizer that I have been using for a few months. I thought I would try these because they said on the package "ultra gentle." Used only 1 on my eyelids and surrounding area. What a burning sensation! I rinsed and rinsed to get it off. Tried another on my arm, and it was okay. I had also purchased eye cream; but was afraid to try it and returned it to the store unopened.

Somethings fishy about this product

I have the whole line up of cervae products that works for my skin. Been using cervae for about 2 1/2 years now. This use to be a very good product. Even up until last year. Lately every pack I buy has this fishy smell and it is not cheap so to buy in packs like I did was a huge mistake. I used them on my face a few times and I was put off and offended by how fishy it smelled. I wondered all day, could anyone else smell it. Now I fret using them because if I smell the fishy wipes, why would I put them on my face so others could smell the fishy wipes. Now I have wipes I cannot even use or return.

I never write reviews, but I felt I had to for this product. I love CeraVe's moisturizer, and their product range in general earns rave reviews, so I figured these wipes would be no exception. I needed new makeup wipes and decided to stray from my usual Neutrogena wipes in favor of these. Upon first use, I was floored at how absolutely terrible these are. The first few wipes in the package were way too dry to even use for removing makeup. I had to throw them out. Once I reached a wipe that was appropriately damp, I found that the problem BURNED my face so badly. It was so uncomfortable.
