I was so excited to try this, sounded right up my street! Great company that I already trust have made this daily defence cream that I can wear everyday! When it came, I applied it to freshly washed and cleansed skin instead of a moisturiser. It felt ok going on, a bit thicker than my usual moisturiser but who cares? Well, I did when I looked in the mirror. My face had a white hue that made me look like a ghost or like Nick Cage in his movie Long legs! No no no, I can’t go out like this!! People will think I’m ill! 😆 I kind of left my skin feeling a bit chalky too so no, I wouldn’t recommend this product. Unsure if it was the zinc that left it doing this but 99% of all face sun creams don’t leave you looking pale anymore.

Cetaphil 'sensitive' moisturiser not 'mineral'

Excellent product. Usually I find after a number of weeks using a product designed for sensitive skin my skin reacts to it, however with the cetaphil daily defence for sensitive skin this has not happened. I have been using this product for the past few years now.Does not cause a cast on the skin which can usually happen with an spf.Because of offers i will usually buy a couple of these together however I noticed one of the items I bought says 'mineral' and not 'sensitive'. This is not the same prodct even though it is in the same packaging. I hope cetaphil are not changing the product to this mineral version because it is very dry on the skin and also leaves a cast.

Good protection

I received this SPF for test and review and I really do like it. It’s got a lovely, soft, smooth texture and good consistency. It works in well to the skin, keeping it very hydrated but also protected too. It got easy to open packaging that’s smart and professional looking, stylish and well made. Holy grail for combination skin!

Despite a bunch of negative reviews. I have nothing bad to say about this product. A product with spf is a winner. But a product with spf that doesn’t clog your pores or break you out? Even better. I have acne prone skin, new skincare or anything too harsh breaks me out. It is a thick cream, and it is quite white (like a suncream texture, NOT sticky though!!) it is the only day cream that I swear by. It applies well under makeup and sits nice on the face

Light weight but affective

This daily defence cream is scent free and easy to apply. I did so after cleansing before applying some light concealer. This did not irritated my skin and was in a light cream format. It didn't cause any issues with makeup I.e. it absorbed into my skin quickly and smoothly. It does not provide extensive moisture but for the sake of 50+ factor protection, I'd definitely recommend using this if looking for a not sticky or tacky SPF that provides a high level of protection.

Not keen on the scent or texture, not suitable for make-up wearers

Personally I don't like how this product smells, and I found it left a greasy texture on top of my skin upon application. It's a mineral foundation so it provides sun protection by blocking harmful UV physically. This product needs to be reapplied every 2-3 hours meaning it's no use wearing it with makeup. It's water resistant but that also means it doesn't absorb well. And whilst it has a 50spf rating it doesn't indicate how much product to use to get that level of protection.

no good for oily skin

I chose this for the moisturizer and spf in one to reduce one step in my routine, also the many reviews saying it worked well under their makeup. this doesnt seem to cause a break out which is good. its quite thick, so dont use too much. the big downside is it makes my skin suuuuper shiny! I have combo skin, but its mostly oily. this just has me in constant shine, except the 5-10 minutes after dabbing away to reduce shine. I havent used this with makeup yet, but im not sure how well it will stick ontop when this spf makes my skin more shiny than ever, I suspect it will make my foundation slide around. I may test it out. but i'll also be buying a different spf too as I may have to go back to using one separately.
