Back during my Isotretinoin days this was a life-saver. I'd been doing fine with Laneige Water Bank and the sleeping mask, but it got to the point where my skin just feel constantly tight and dried out, no matter how much of those I used or layered. I picked up Cetaphil for quite a bargain. It seemed like a simple enough basic moisturizer - nothing fancy in there apart from some Avocado oil, Vit B5 and Vit E and a few other additions. My biggest fear was this would somehow break me out. It felt quite rich to me, I can recall the first time I applied it was just a very tiny amount. Over the following days I applied more and more liberally as I began to realize my skin was soaking up the moisture and had no issues with Cetaphil's ingredients or heaviness. I used this twice a day and ended up going through 2 bottles of this before switching to something a bit richer. For dry skin issues and basically replenishing moisture (but without any additional benefits) I would recommend giving this a go. It's cost effective and does the job nicely. I can see why Maria Reina loves their cream! This was so soothing and moisturizing after I experienced a retinol burn for starting off too high with a retinoid. I was suggested to repair my skin barrier and use a simple cleanser and moisturizer. I was shocked by how soothing it was, since the older bottle doesn’t really have claims of soothing. And this isn’t even the cream, just the lotion. This has wonderful ingredients like avocado oil and vitamins that left my face so soft and moisturized. Within a day the redness was gone and within three days my skin was happy and healthy. I highly recommend to anyone who needs to repair their skin barrier, or just wants lovely moisture for their skin. I only used this on my face and I have very sensitive skin. I'm so disappointed. The original moisturizing lotion was so effective, being a light, milky lotion that was unoffensive, unassuming, and the perfect addition to my skincare wardrobe. What happened is we now have a formulation that's thick, much more occlusive, and includes niacinamide. Consequently, my skin breaks out from using it. I've had to relegate it to a body moisturizer, which works rather well. As such, I've rated it as a 3 to balance between the two extremes. I hate that as I get older I get so excitable about beauty product formulations (I used to make fun of my older female relatives when they'd BM about this sort of thing), but now I get it. Ugh.

honestly i adore this lotion sooo much! i have been using this for around 4-5 years now and it is such a simple product that i just keep coming back to it. it's such a staple! what I love about this is it is super hydrating and nourishing. calms my skin and repairs the skin barrier super affordable and available in many places simple non irritating ingredients that work for most skin types. I have oily skin yet I don't find this to be oily at all! can be used over face and body 'value size takes forever to run out! never pills after any products like a lot of moisturizers! super hydrating as a primer under makeup and easy to wear under spf too!

I have dry, eczema prone skin so I have to be very carful what products I put on my skin, I was recommended cetaphil by my dermatologist after a really fave eczema flare and it was a godsend. It did not irritate or burn my skin like most moisturisers as my skin barrier was so damaged but this lotion really healed it quickly, each time I applied it my dry skin got softer and less red. It healed my skin very quickly and gave me the most lovely glow and plumped my finelines. I gave it three stars as when my skin got back on track it became a bit too rich and gave me some blackheads and bumps. Apart from that it worked really well. I keep it now for days when my eczema’s flaring. I love it’s a very basic moisturiser with no irritating ingredients. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion is a highly recommended skincare product that provides long-lasting hydration and relief for dry and sensitive skin. The lotion is fragrance-free, non-greasy, and lightweight, making it perfect for daily use. The formula is enriched with a blend of humectants and emollients that work together to restore and maintain the skin's natural moisture barrier. It's also gentle enough for all skin types, including those with eczema or psoriasis. The easy-to-use pump bottle makes it convenient to apply, and the results are noticeable, leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth. Overall, a great option for anyone seeking a high-quality moisturizer that provides exceptional hydration and relief for dry, sensitive skin.

As someone with sensitive, dry skin prone to eczema, I really loved this moisturizing lotion. The instructions said that I could use this on my face and my body. I love products that are multipurpose but also effective. It moisturized me deeply without adding heaviness to my skin. I loved that it had absolutely zero scent as I am sensitive to and allergic to fragrances. While I thought this moisturizing lotion was light but heavy enough for myself, the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream provided a heavier and more moisturizing feel. Perfect for those winter days. I used this in conjunction with the Cetaphil Moisturizing Gentle Cleanser and Moisturizing Cream which all work very well together. All the products made me feel clean and lightly but still adequately hydrated.

This was recommended to me by my esthetician. She said that this is what she uses and is a great inexpensive over the counter moisturizer. She said to use my anti aging and heavier moisturizers at night bc that's when your skin replenishes so it will work better then and you'll be getting the best use out of the more expensive moisturizers but that this is a great lightweight daytime moisturizer. And it can be used on face and body. When I use it, it feels nice and refreshing. When I was using my anti aging moisturizer I felt like my face stayed shiny all day, too shiny. People probably thought I have oily skin when in fact I'm more on the dry side. It doesn't leave my skin feeling greasy or oily. It keeps my skin feeling moisturized all day and not dry. I have this brand of face cleanser too which I like. I like the smell of the face cleanser. Reminds me of something from my childhood. The moisturizer doesn't really have a smell to it. I prefer no smell over a smell I don't like or a perfume smell. Plus I don't need extra ingredients added to my moisturizer, that only increases the chance of being allergic to something in it. I love the pump on each of these, makes it super easy. Not struggling to close a lid with moisturizer in my hand. Plus it doesn't get that dried goop at the end of the nozzle each time like some of my eye creams in pumps do.i love this.

Reformulated with niacinamide known allergen

Too heavy and thick for summer
24 June 2023

I have pros and cons to this lotion. I have VERY sensitive skin and I suffer from eczema flair-ups. This lotion is great for my sensitive skin and does not make me itch or bother my eczema at all. However, it claims to be for dry to normal skin. I would say this is better for super dry skin. It is more like a cream than a lotion, and it feels very heavy on my skin. It actually makes me hot and sweaty when I have it on, almost like my skin can't breathe. And I constantly feel sticky in my creases, like in the folds of my elbows, behind my knees, and under my butt cheeks. I think I'll like this better in the winter, but not right now in the summer. I need a lightweight lotion. It is GREAT for sensitive skin though!
