This is the second of this model I have installed. Very pleased as it is quiet & easy to install. Instructions good but a bigger clearer picture is necessary for setting the belt tension. I did a click & collect as this was low stock & a wrong but similar model had been picked. I was very lucky that I checked carefully and didn't get all the way home and then found out.

My existing unit was slowing down (2 mins to open), this kit was a straight replacement, easy to make up on the garage floor, needed two of us to lift it into place but easy enough to do. I also got the MyQ bridge and hooked this up to Home Assistant which works well. I connected the safety sensors and they worked without any messing about, great setup. It is faster and quieter than my old controller. I also have a Merlin on the other door, I was able to sync the remotes for both garage doors so now I have a left and right on the same remote. I bought this last week and wish I had bought it years ago.Installation was easy .. The planning was very hard !!. I watched the u tube videoof a planed installation ie drill holes and placement of brackets were already donethat was the hardest part so the 2hr said process took me about 7hrs all up haha .I didn't have a nice wall to drill and screw so I had to use brackets for the armsupport , I used the wood to gain support in the roof for the main bracket witchworked really well with fixings of the supplied braces .Having said all that the Intsallation was easy and worth it .It has a smoothand quite operation . no more getting out of the car to open the door the bestChristmas gift ever

It seems that the unit itself is a very good product. It has slow start and close functions and auto stop and reversing functions when the door strikes an object. Keys are pre-programmed. However, the instruction manual is not good at all. I should say it is bad, much worse than Ikea's picture instructions. The instructions are very/too wordy, still missing some important parts. It seems that it's designed for professional installers. Although I am an experienced carpenter and even installed a few air conditioning units, the installation of the garage motor was tricky.
First time install project for me with no previous experience. I found it so easy. Took me 5 hours but mostly ceiling install. This CS105MYQ is a smart product, clear instructions. Once installed its so easy to set up/down positions. Replaced my old B&D sectional opener, which was old tech and cruel and needed manual mechanical adjustments. Highly recommended.
Bought this to replace a centurion garage opener that was failing. The differing mounts made swap-over that bit harder especially as the old opener was suspended about 30cm below ceiling height. Instructions were OK and programming the travel and force was easy. This unit's track was also about 30cm shorter than the old one, so had to think for a bit to ensure I had full travel. The remotes were thankfully pre-paired but the old remotes that we had paired to the old door opener AND the front gate do not work with this opener, so now we need to carry two remotes to be able to open both which is just awkward. Great door opener! It is super quiet and very easy to install. I had to replace my old gliderol opener which had died and it took about two hours. The remotes are preprogrammed and I got an additional one, very easy to program it with just a press of a button. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The heights of opening and the force limit took only a couple of minutes to do. Overall, I highly recommend this product.
The good - As stated this is a fairly easy install and is fairly priced.The great- it's the quietest motor I have ever heard.The bad- only 2 remotes so you will need to purchase extra car remote at $44 and a garage wall controller $68. It also does not have MyQ installed so the is also an optional extra. But overall due to the stealth of this thing you can leave for work at shoot o'clock without waking the neighbourhood 👌
I purchased the Chamberlain to replace my old garage door opener which broke and fell to the floor.It works really well and having a rubber belt instead of the previous chain on the old unit makes it so much quieter. It comes with 3 remotes which is great and you can easily programme the buttons as you choose - 1 to fully open and 1 to partly open for pets or, in my case, let some cool air in.However, it is a bit dumb not having a smartphone capability. Instead you have to purchase another product for this.Also, I want to purchase the battery backup as I have no alternative entry to the garage but there is no information anywhere as to where I can get the available battery.
Bought this a few days ago to replace a 4.5yo Marantec which had a failure in the sprocket assembly (plastic on plastic in a high toque area - bad design). Install was relatively easy, sprocket assembly appears to be metal (good). all in all pretty easy. Only flaw is that as the track comes in 4 separate pieces there's a large amount of flex in the assembled rail as it the motor operates. Every joiner (3 of) the rail would flex up to 15-20mm off the roof as the trolley continues down the rail. I was able to solve this by cutting the existing supports from the previous install and installing them onto the new rail. Not the prettiest but saves the flex and likely undue stress on the motor.
