Chanel Chance eau Fraiche is the first Chanel perfume I ever wore. I have always had at least one bottle on my vanity ever since. It is a bright, clean floral with a citrusy opening and woody dry down. At the time I began wearing it, I was dating someone who exclusively wore Chanel Bleu. The woody, floral combination combined with the signature clean citrus Chanel through line was absolutely stunning together. I now own many fragrances in the Chanel line and understand this one is most close to Chanel Bleu than any other. They compliment each other beautifully. I began wearing this fragrance year round while living in Florida. It had been a Spring daytime and Summer date night fragrance in other states. However, it is perfect for hot weather and performs well in ... MoreChanel Chance eau Fraiche is the first Chanel perfume I ever wore. I have always had at least one bottle on my vanity ever since. I have always purchased Chanel Chance eau Fraiche at my local Navy Exchange. It retails in the $100 range. This is a pretty perfume I recommend for warmer months and casual days. It will always be a vanity staple for me.

I just can't get enough of this. Seriously, the pink pepper in the opening, the rich, spicy, slightly sweet that opens up as it dries down. So, so good. The bottle is beautiful, just like the scent. Gorgeous, unique and it just feels like a luxury scent. The only problem I have is the price point vs. the longevity. It's a pricey perfume for one that doesn't last super long and isn't really a "strong" fragrance in terms of projection I would say. Still, I can't bring myself to dock it a star here because it makes up for those things in just how good the scent is to me and how unique it is. Also, it's just an issue with perfume in general. There really is a lack of perfumes in what I would call the middle price point. Not cheap, but not luxe, just in the middle, every day perfumes. That said, I think Chanel is actually a pretty good value for what you get when you consider what the market looks like and just how good the scents are. I can't find a scent any cheaper than this that smells quite like this or that performs as well as this. So while it would be nice if designer fragrances didn't carry what I think is the "designer" price tag, they do, and it's hard to find anything like it with the same quality and as someone who usually detests the price of designer goods that, to me, are just there to exclude most people from purchasing them (to keep them "exclusive" yuck") I don't really feel that's the case with designer perfumes. They do seem to use great quality ingredients and for the money, they really do seem to be worth it and not as crazy expensive as, say, a designer hand bag where you could get a bag just as good, but at a much lower price point. Not the case with perfume.

This opens with a strong blast of citruses, which I love, then dries down to a musky and woodsy scent. Definitely could be worn by men. Smells very similar to the now discontinued Versace "Versense" to my nose. I think if you have one you probably don't need the other (but I have both, of course..) Somewhere behind the blast of citrus is the faint DNA of "Chance" and that signature Chanel smell that I love so much. You need to like citruses to enjoy this perfume, although I do say they quiet down quite quickly after first blast. REMEMBER- this is an eau de toilette, and a freshie- keeping that in mind, performance is ok. Better than "eau teandre". But those top notes will disappear and you'll be left with woods and the musks, and the other base notes fairly quickly. ... MoreThis opens with a strong blast of citruses, which I love, then dries down to a musky and woodsy scent. If moderate performance is not acceptable for you for the pricepoint, then I would recommend the eau de parfum, which I also love. I added this to my collection first because this is perfect for Summer. However, I don't know how much I'll be reaching for this in other months, because this truly shines in the heat.

This Chypre floral fragrance is the epitome of fresh and clean. I adore “fresh out of the shower” type of scents, and this is the best one I’ve come across. The notes provide the perfect mixture of fresh, floral, and warm. Opening with notes of lemon, citron and cedar, you immediately get a very clean and fresh boost. The middle notes are more floral and feminine, with water hyacinth, jasmine, and pink pepper. Grounded by warm notes of amber, patchouli, white musk, vetiver, Iris, and Teak wood, the fragrance lasts a long time on clothing and skin. I absolutely love how this fragrance makes me feel—fresh and classy!

I really enjoy wearing fresh scents in the spring and summer and this is perfect for that. The first time I sprayed it on me I only sprayed it twice on both of my forearms and throughout the day I would get a whiff of the fresh and citrusy with a hint of jasmine fragrance. The next time I sprayed my clothes with it and I did four sprays too to bottom. It last led for about my whole day at work. I got a few compliments and questions about what I was wearing, so I was happy about the projection and longevity of this fragrance. I will say so far this is the only Chanel sent that I actually like and will willingly use. It really pops when you layer it with a lotion or body oil that compliments the citrus in it.

I'm very particular about smells because most give me a headache and lingers too long but I love love love this smell. I'm not usually the type to enjoy sweet fragrances but it's so light. I want to wear it EVERYDAY but don't have a reason to so I bought the smallest size and use it only for special occassions. This smells like Men’s body wash. Not cheap hand soap, but fancy mens Body Wash. I LOVE IT, it is intoxicating and sexy to me. I wore it and kept getting whiffs of myself and it literally made me happy, a little too happy and that never happens with a fragrance I smell on myself lol. I really enjoy this.

Chance Eau Fraîche shares a lot of its DNA with the original Chance, but is a lighter, fresher, less feminine version that ultimately falls flat. CEF opens with a bright, tart lemon note that veers dangerously close to cleaning product territory. Lemon is an iffy note for me for this reason. Here, however, it is restrained enough to resemble verbena or lemongrass alongside the inspired addition of woody notes to the opening. The jasmine-pink pepper accord forms the heart, harking back to the original Chance. It is like a light, fresh floral fruity here, almost aquatic but with some floral sweetness. It is soapy here

I absolutely adore this fragrance. It smells fresh, citrusy, complex but very well blended. It exudes elegance, timelessness and a careless spring or early summer vibe. Top notes are Lemon, Cedar and Citron; middle notes are Water Hyacinth, Pink Pepper and Jasmine; base notes are Patchouli, White Musk, Vetiver, Teak Wood, iris and Amber. I find it beautiful from first spray to dry down. It maintains its light airiness throughout! Its longevity is excellent for a citrusy scent. I find certain Jasmine and Patchouli notes in fragrances can be rather heavy or cloying, almost “dirty†. Fret not, my friend! These notes are extremely smooth and clean in this scent. I highly recommend it. I find the price very fair for the quality you receive. The larger bottles especially make the ml cost absolutely worth it. A classic staple in my collection; and dare I say, in my top 5 all time favorite fragrances. In short: it makes me happy when I wear it.

It does linger on your clothes throughout the day until you put it on the wash so for lasting power, I'd recommend spraying on your clothes rather than your skin.I'm devasted that I enjoy the scent so much because the price point is pretty steep for how much product you're actually getting. Will have to see how much the 1.2 oz spray lasts.
