I must say LES 4 OMBRES MULTI-EFFECT QUADRA EYESHADOW CHANEL doesn’t disappoint it terms of quality,refinement and structure. I purchased the 226 Tisse Rivoli,and it’s just the perfect combination of the 4 statement colours! I love to play with these vibrant, pigment-rich formula tones. Two medium tones to do the colouring and contouring, one deep shadow to intensify and one light shade to highlight - gives me the perfect intensity I desire my look to have. The 5 stars I gave to this product derive from a very important place: using this palette it is not causing me eye allergies ! The easy-to-carry compact has an advantage for me,I can have it in my make-up bag anytime I need it. I am planning to buy a matte palette from these series as well.

The color selections in the palette are on the more basic side, with the most interesting shade being a navy blue with a slight duochrome, which was greatly hindered by its powdery texture and sheer color payoff, so it really lost a lot of its intrigue once applied. It's somewhat better when applied damp, but it still doesn't have opaque pigmentation, though the powderiness goes away. If this one shade had performed better, the quad as a whole would be quite nice (the other three shades perform much better), but I really want to see all four shades perform well. Prepare to be let down! I don't care about the packaging or the brand name. As long as it doesn't break and make a mess, I'm fine. What does matter to me is finding eyeshadow that doesn't make my middle-aged eyes look older than they are. If you are 20 or 30, you can put anything on your eyes and it will look great; it's called youth, and youth is beautiful. Go to the drugstore and put that money you save towards your student loans or retirement account. After 40, I and my eyelids need quality and performance, and that often means spending a bit more on certain items, but I buy a lot less - more quality and less quantity. Because of the price, I really wanted to not like this eyeshadow, but once I put it on (smooth like butter), wore it all day (great for work), and it still looked great at the end of the day (no creasing), I knew I would not be returning this shadow and said good bye to my $61 bucks. So if you and your middle-aged eyelids need an eyeshadow that works beautifully on middle-aged eyelids, look no further, but deciding on the price is up to you.

A very professional day/night colour combination.

A unique gold combination, I love this, it truly is versatile. I've seen it worn very subtly, and even lightly applied, it keeps a very subtle close up glimmer. This kind of clever colour combination saves on having so many huge colour palates. they have it right, you just apply, bold or subtle, combine or just one. This is what we pay for, professional colour perfection. I am happy to review this for no incentive, as its my go to, they really have this one right. (better buy two, your daughter will be wanting this one as well.)

Blurry Green is gorgeous but applies heavy & DARK

The Blurry Green palette has 2 medium/deep shades of green, a brownish shade, and a bronze shade--all have a lovely amount of sheen, but the color saturation is a little much in all 4 shades and they apply very dark & heavy and do not blend out very easily. I prefer a palette that has a highlight shade, a base shade, a medium shade, and then a darker/liner shade and at first glance I thought I was getting this configuration, however the shades in this palette really only lean towards the darker end of the spectrum once applied. It's a lovely palette, but more for a nighttime look.

Brighter Blue Eyes

I have blue hazel eyes and hooded lids, tisse vendome is the ultimate palette to achieve a natural and accentuating look. My eyes are brighter blue and appear much larger using the palette colors, softly lining only using the darkest color. Highly recommend for a bright natural look and product application felt like silk on the lids like all my Chanel eye shadows . I also did a subtle Smokey look which was beautiful. The peach color is my favorite in the palette, paired with Adrienne lipstick and sun kissed bronzing highlighter for my everyday luxurious younger looking face in my 60’s.

Caused Severe Irritation to Eyelids

I bought two of these and one, Tisse Rivoli, made my lids swell, flake and peel. I'm not allergic to anything, so I tried wearing it three times just to make sure the shadow was the problem. Now that I've read other reviews on the Chanel site and here, I see that I'm not alone. I really hope Chanel will see these and change their formula. The other Quadra of shadows were not good colors for me, and, for both Quadras, two of the colors are so close in hue that they're really redundant. I normally love Chanel, but these are not winners!

This eyeshadow quad has a very high PSI, so the pressure that they used to press it in was very high making it feel like it comes already somewhat hard panned. The one shimmer shade, on the quad that I got, is at a slightly lower PSI, but that's to be expected for a shimmer and it's still high for a shimmer especially. They are not highly pigmented but I'm not sure if they're intended to be made this way -for a softer look. The problem is they're not the most buildable either. There is some buildability but not as much as I would like. Kick up is very low. Blend is good. It comes in a little velvet pouch like Gucci pallets do. Now what I expected from Chanel

My main complaint about this pretty little compact is that the eyeshadows are dome-shaped, which means it makes a huge mess all over when using them. Secondary to that, they are very lightly pigmented. The pink, beige, and highlight colors are almost invisible, even layered. They do nothing in the way of adding color to the base lid or working as a highlight on the brow. If you are a fan of the very subtle, these are great colors for you, but I can't see it at all and it does not build. The remaining purpley brown color is actually quite nice. Still subtle, but due to that, it makes a nice soft lower liner. I think it may just be the colors I chose, as some of the other color choices look more vibrant.
