I ourchased this in medium plus. The texture of this product is just like water. The coverage is VERY sheer to sheer. I like to put 2 layers of this on to give me sheer coverage. The finish is dewy on me. I really like this product for those no makeup days when you just wanna look a little put together. It has a cooling sensation on my skin and it feels like nothing. I don't think you need to have an exact skin match either since its so sheer. It wore well on me throughout the day for 6+ hrs. The brush it comes with does an excellent job at blending out the tint. I acutally think I will purchase the full size of the brush from CHANEL. You can use your fingers but I like the finish with a brush better. Absolutely brilliant

I wanted a very light coverage just to even out my skin and was really struggling to find one. Even ones that claimed they were light coverage were too much for me or just didn't last.I use this most days, I always prime and then I apply this. One pump per each half of my face. Then I add concealer under my eyes and on the odd spot I still irritatingly get at 34! I blend the concealer in with a sponge, add a little blusher and that's that. It evens out my skin nicely while being light enough that it feels like I've got nothing on and with a primer it lasts all day. I look like I have no make up on and am just blessed with very good skin, which is exactly the look I was going for! My favorite skin perfecting product. Let's get the "negative" out of the way because this IS a polarizing product.. minimal coverage (does not claim to offer coverage, has more coverage than Glossier though). Not long wearing (also does not claim to be long wearing). If you want a long wearing foundation that has coverage or builds to medium coverage, this is not the right product. This is something to even out and perfect in an incredibly natural way. An ideal no-makeup type of thing. Dehydrated and dry spots look plump and refreshed. Overall- my skin takes on the appearance of having slept 10 hours, gotten weekly facials, like I hit the gym regularly, and eat tons of vegetables. It just glows, is completely undetectable, and it makes me feel great. Even after my redness starts coming though around 6 hours or so, those perfecting qualities are still there- I can just pounce a little powder on and be set for the rest of the day. And it doesn't wear down unevenly so there is not any patchiness or caking in dry spots or lines. Great product for what it is.Application: I really prefer squirting this directly on a dense flat top foundation brush and pouncing and blending it on the skin (rather than blending the product on the back of the hand first). I seem to be able to use less product that way, about 2 to 2-1/2 pumps, and get zero streaks with a dense brush. The brush it comes with works fine, but it's small and better for those nooks and crannies around the nose and eyes (like for concealer) rather than all over.Shade range: very very stretchy. the Light shade is truly my best match: I am typically a B12 in Chanel. But I get the Light-Medium and it warms up my complexion beautifully without looking unnatural or orange.

Here’s my critique of water fresh tintThis is great for Zoom calls, it’s like I have no makeup on but I do! Overall it’s a fantastic light weight foundation with an extremely natural look. I use a makeup brush that’s 3x larger than the one it comes with and can apply this perfectly in no time.The caveats: I originally thought there were only 2 shades when there are in fact 6 shades. The way the product is listed here you don’t see the entire range of colors available if some shades are sold out. This really should be fixed. Also, compared to other foundations, it’s easy to use this up very quickly.

I am a huge fan of this foundation. I was wary about getting it for two reasons (ambivalent review by famous luxury makeup reviewer YouTube personality, MW, and complaints about it being too low of coverage). I want to love it but I cannot

I really want to love this because it goes on easily (if you skip the awful brush) and there is a good shade match for me. Also, I love that the product is primarily water and intended to provide hydrating sheer/light coverage.When I use this for a full face: it's almost as if I have nothing on my face at all, in a bad way. It's too sheer/light and my very normal minimal everyday eye makeup out weighs this. Imagine doing your everyday eye makeup and nothing else at all and that's how this appeared. Like girl did you forget your face?I have combo skin and get oily midday so I lightly set this in the morning. By 3pm I think most of the product had vanished from my skin. Or maybe it was still there and the imbalance of my eye makeup confused me. I found the product not drying to my skin, did not have issues with emphasizing dry patches and pores, and found it comfortable on the skin. As all I wanted was a slight tint I was pleased with the product. I do not think one should reasonably expect even a medium coverage using this product, it is only good if you are looking for a sheer base. I felt it evened out my skin tone a bit, toning down red patches ever so slightly. Freckles and light scarring it cannot cover alone. If you are content for the most part with the condition of your skin and only want your skin tone to appear more even you will be happy.Even on unset skin, my base last a decent time. I felt no need for touch ups (the coverage may also influence that) even after six hours plus time wearing. It had a very 'natural' finish, not appearing dry or becoming greasey overtime. Even with not setting my base, I didn't have issues with creasing under eyes or smile lines. I did not use primer or feel need to use primer, as the product has been recommended for use as a primer for heavier-coverage foundations.When you use the foundation, you will notice there are pigments suspended in watery clear gel. At least for the shade 'Light,' these pigments appear darker than the product once worked into the brush and blended in the face, so the product may not appear to not match your skin when looking only at the bottle and product first out of pump. If the worked product is ever so slightly off from your skin-tone, as it is so sheer, I believe there is little room for concern once blended.It is recommended to work the product into the back of your hand (there are always a mixing palettes too) and blend together the pigments and gel to see true color, and then apply the product to your face. You can get away with applying the product directly to center of the face, working the pigments and gel together, and blending outward- the result is still alright.

feels like paint on face and shows lines

I was so excited to read the positive reviews for this. Based on the name, I anticipated a fresh, dewy face.This feels like literal paint on my face. Yes, I dissolved the water beads before putting it on. It looked dewy for about 30 seconds, then dried into some weird consistency, almost sticky but also dry at the same time, and settled into fine lines and actually accentuated them, and it feels like I have paint on my face.I honestly can’t believe all the positive reviews. I was really disappointed. I’ll stick with my Sublimage. It’s more coverage, which I don’t always want and that’s why I tried this, but at least it doesn’t “dry” and settle into fine lines.Gonna have to return it. Wanted to love it, but don’t.
