Chanel No. 5 is THE classic fragrance for women of class. Though it is quite expensive per ounce, the projection, longevity and silliage can not be beat. It is perfect for day or evening wear, appropriate for the office, date night or errands and carpool. It opens with soapy aldehydes and citrus top notes. It opens into a luxurious floral bloom as it warms on the skin. The dry down is a skin scent that leaves a beautiful, soft, powdery vanilla finish. It is a fragrance for the ages. I highly recommend this classic for women of all ages.

I have to agree with other reviews that this perfume is "old lady" smelling. Something a fancy and rich grandma would wear. It's not a bad thing at all. Some people match these scents. This scent didn't go well with me and my age. Maybe when I'm an "old lady" I'll probably get this and wear it! Honestly, I cannot smell the floral in this at all. It was closer to the powdery scent. Also, the scent didn't last long. For me, I'm estimating 4 hours, then it starts to fade. You also don't want to over spray the first time you put it on because it will smell very strong and off putting. I will definitely be returning this!!

This perfume is such a classy, sophisticated set and has been around since 1921. It's long lasting and a very unique scent. This is one of my mom's favorite scent's like she wore this in the 1980s yet this perfume has stood the time and I LOVE this perfume too.
