I do not lean into gourmands at all, but Chanel perfume I wear exclusively. I assumed I'd hate this, but one sniff at the Bay counter and I was flummoxed! It's floral and warm yet sweet and powdery. Smells like summery yet exotic? I usually wear No.19 Poudre or No.5 Premiere but this is a great new summer scent. Despite being a toilette, it lasts a LONG time on fabric. I sprayed it at 9:30 am and it's now 5 pm and I'm getting a whiff of it! It's light enough to be subtle yet still super appealing! Even my male friends like it.

This has been my go to fragrance this year for spring and most likely throughout summer. I love the citrus opening and the powdery notes combined with the warmth and comforting scent of the tonka bean and vanilla at the base. This is such a classy and girly scent. I can’t get enough of it. It’s also not offensive or headache inducing.

There are several Chanel scents that I do not like, i.e. Coco Chanel. However, they have lightened up on their fragrances and it's so refreshing to have scents that smell delicious and beautiful and do not give me a migraine. The new scents inspired by where Coco Chanel lived throughout her life are absolutely wonderful! Get them all and mix them together. You're going to love them!

Wow, just yes. This is THE perfect spring/summer vanilla scent. It starts off a little citrusy, then settles into a lovely vanilla (not too sweet) with that hint of Chanel powderiness. The entire time it’s very light and fresh. If you like vanilla scents, you have to check this out. I just wish it was stronger but it’s only EDT. It lasts about 6 hours on me but by the end it’s quite faded. Still, it’s a gorgeous, elegant vanilla...a rare find as most vanilla scents can be really generic or sickly sweet. I’m so surprised and in love with this! I think that even people who aren’t big on Chanel fragrances would be into this.

This lasts a pretty long time considering it’s an EDT! I love layering this with my other Chanel Exclusifs such as Sycomore. They pair so well together. It smells so unique, not like your basic “department store” scent (although there is nothing wrong with that, it’s just because of price, you want it to be more unique!)

A fresh take on musk.

I love orientals, so when the sweet lady helping me mentioned that this leaned towards an oriental, I tried it. Of the three new fragrances to try, the tester of this particular one was almost empty if that tells you anything. At first spray, it was fresh but I would not have classified it as oriental. After a few minutes, the mandarin practically jumped off of my skin. I'll be honest, it wasn't my favorite and I was wondering where the musk came in. I finally got it after about 30 minutes of dry down. After a couple of hours I was left with a subtle hint of the vanilla, but not in a vanilla candle kind of way. Disappointed

This was a blind buy as wanted to try out 'les eaux' and trusted the reviews.It's not a bad fragrance but basically smells like baby powder. The worst thing for me is that it has zero projection and longevity. It's the least long lasting fragrance I've ever had! It's literally like eau de cologne, the scent disappears after a couple of minutes. An expensive mistake for me!

MAGICAL scent

This is by far my favorite perfume I have ever purchased. My signature scent for sure. Lasts a while also. It would be a perfect wedding day scent as well. So good you’ll do a spritz before bed too! Absolutely magical.

Paris-Venise

Paris Venise is a lovely scent, a bit different from the other Chanel perfumes I have (Mademoiselle, Chance and No 5) has a hint of parma violets sweets which I like. The reason for 3 stars instead of higher is that the perfume is so subtle you can hardly smell it, need to reapply it throughout the day or night. It is a lovely perfume just wish the scent would last a bit longer.

Tonka bean, where’ve you been all my life?

After reading the online descriptions of these Nordstrom exclusives, I settled on Deauville to replace my beloved Wild Fig & Cassis by Jo Malone. But after testing all three in-store, I left with the Venise spray and lotion. On dry-down, there’s an unfamiliar warmness that is not the sickly vanilla I feared. Perhaps, it’s the tonka bean? Whatever it is, I love! After my bath, I layer the lotion over organic coconut oil and unscented body butter. Then walk under a mist of the spray. For my date last night, I also dabbed it on my neck and behind my ears and knees. Oh boy! Very sexy. The fragrance is light and does not last an entire day. I’ve used the testers to reapply. I also tried the other two fragrance testers at home, allowing time to dry down.
