In 1886, a blacksmith decided to begin improving the farriers' tools available at that time. George B. DeArment spent the cold northwestern Pennsylvania winters hand-forging tools in a small two-story factory in Evansburg, PA, now called Conneaut Lake. When warmer weather arrived in the spring, he would load his wagon with all the tools he had forged and travel from town to town selling his wares until the wagon was empty. Then he would sell the horse and wagon and catch a train back to Evansburg to begin the process again.

I do commercial metal roofing and my go-to brand is Midwest offset but I took a chance on these because they look so similar. I've used them once so far because the other jobs I'm working on the metal is way thicker than normal and ruined my Midwest ones. so I want to say the one time iced broke these channellock brand ones out they seem ok but I noticed they are kinda wanting to stick

Excellent Snips. I believe these are made by Midwest which the best in my opinion and rebranded for channellock. I may be wrong but either way Iโm on my second pair as I use them everyday as a union sheet metal worker and they are my new favorite.
