I just ordered my second Hollywood Complexion brush after months months of waiting for it to be in stock again, so evidently I’m not the only one who loves this brush. When I received my first brush in the mail I was rather surprised by how small it was and now I realize that it’s size works to my advantage. It’s about the same size, to a tad bit bigger, than Sephora’s mini brushes. The small size helps to better blend my cream contour and bronzers and keep them in the position I want. It also works wonderfully when used as a blush brush, especially when you’re only putting it on a small area when you’ve contoured used bronzer on your cheekbones. My only complaint is the bristles do not look clean after washing once you’ve used it with blush. I’m typically not a fan of double sided brushes for storage purposes, but I LOVE this one. It’s one of the only brushes I reach for consistently. Super easy to apply foundation concealer with. It buffs in my foundation seamlessly. without soaking up too much product I never have issues with streaky application or shedding like I do with a lot of other brushes. I use the large side for foundation the tiny side for my concealer. They both work great this is one of those rare occasions where I actually use both sides of the the brush. While I’m definitely more of a beauty sponge lover, this brush changed the game for me. I currently own two of these brushes so I always have one on back up just in case. In just over 12 months, with my using the brush a few times a week, the bristles are falling out in clumps, despite washing it following the Charlotte Tilbury consultant's recommendation in warm water and drying flat.I mentioned this to a Charlotte Tilbury consultant at John Lewis. She seemed unsurprised and indicated this is a common occurrence with this particular brush, as the glue can start to dissolve after a period of time. What a great tool! It's so nice to have this brush on my kit, since it's a dual brush it's very convenient to take it with me everywhere I go. Also, it looks much larger in photos but in fact it's just a regular small brush. Quality wise this is amazing, soft and super dense, it blends the product beautifully. The small side is perfect for concealer and it has a slight angled shape that is perfect for reaching some difficult areas. It is a little bit up there regarding the price point but it is a luxurious product from a luxurious brand, and tools are supposed to last so a good brush is worth the price.
I bought this for use with liquid foundation to get a more natural look but the brush is much smaller than it looks in pictures and the bristles, although soft, are much shorter and more compact. So it's great for concealer or if you want a fuller coverage foundation but for a more natural sheer to medium coverage it's not the right brush. Nice quality though as you would expect from this brand.
I'd wanted to try Charlotte Tilbury's Matt Beauty Blush wand since it was released, and this is the brush she recommends you apply it with. I cannot agree more! I absolutely LOVE both!!!! The Beauty Blush is just beautiful and looks fantastic on your cheeks (I bought Pillow Talk). So easy to apply with this brush. I'm seriously impressed with this brush and would highly recommend. You really cannot go wrong. Promise!
I bought this after my previous brush began shedding hairs. A sure sign it needed replacing. I read the the reviews on Space NK. I'm so glad I purchased this brush. It's one of the best I've tried. It is quite small. But it is just perfect for tinted moisturiser. It doesn't just push the product around, it blends perfectly. I don't think it needs the smaller brush head on the other end, but that's my personal opinion. Look no further if you're looking for a great foundation brush. Well done Charlotte Tilbury.
This Hollywood Complexion Brush is so fluffy and soft and feels lovely on your skin. I use this brush with the contour wand from Charlotte Tilbury and it blends out the contour seamlessly on the cheek bones and forehead.I have mixed feelings about the double sided brush. I love the fact you can take only one brush with you anywhere, and you have two different sizes to work with, but I store my brushes in a pot, and obviously as the brush having two ends it’s a little annoying but it’s not the end of the world! The smaller end could personally do with being a little thinner or smaller.
