Influenster kindly sent me a Pillow Talk Eye Shadow Palette complimentary to test for my honest opinion. This was my first time trying a Charlotte Tilbury product, aside from a CT liner lip color a client brought to her makeup trial (which I loved!). I've applied the eye shadows in the quad once on myself so far but plan to also test it on different skin tones. As much as I love a good warm nude blend above the crease to tie a gradient eye look together, this color combo was a little too blush for my fair (with rosacea and cool undertones) skin. That said, I'm interested to see how it looks on medium to deep skin with varying undertones. My initial take is the matte formula has a decent amount of pigment, and blends pretty well. I would reach for those shades again as accent colors. The shimmer and sparkle are ok. The sparkle does add a pop of NYE vibes glam on top of the finished eye look but has a lot of fallout when applied/doesn't stay well. It has a slightly cushiony/springy texture in the pan. I'm not sure if that may be an indicator of not enough binding agents? The shimmer shade is a bit powdery but does apply smoothly. I would have liked to see the following included in the palette: a ribbon of a dark brown tone as a liner/shadowy shade to balance out the blush tones, and a small matte neutral soft (maybe even a hair sheer) cream tone to blend the edges and create lift under the brow bone and on the inner corner of the eye. For a more complete look that would likely be complimentary on an even greater range of skin tones (including mine), those additions would be helpful. It would give folx more flexibility within the palette if they need to deepen or lighten the look. Without those, I personally found myself reaching for other brands' shades to fill the gap. Overall, it is a beautiful palette, and the packaging is elevated and sleek. I would consider putting just the mattes shades in my pro kit.

I usually wear brown/nude shades so trying this out was a lot of fun-- I really didn't expect the berry shades to complement my skin tone so well. It's quickly become one of my go-to palettes in my purse. With primer, these easily last all day on my lids. It's quite easy to make different looks with just the four shades, or combined with other palettes. The right two shades look so shimmery in the pan, but blend out beautifully into a satin finish. The component is also quite heavy, metal-like, and feels luxurious (like a little bar of rose gold in your pocket).

The matte shadows apply beautifully with a full fluffy brush or flat eyeshadow brush. I typically utilize my fingers to apply shimmer shades to really bring out their opulent vibrancy on my eyelids. As with all shimmer shades you need to use a good base and set your makeup or you will have fallout. I don’t mind with such finely milled product because it is not glitter pieces but a shimmering highlighter effect. I loved that these shadows felt almost saturated in the pan. If you have ever utilized a chalky eyeshadow, where a hardened texture forms over the top, you understand the difference in product ingredients. The quality is here to backup the price tag. This palette does retail for $53 (after pay/installments are available on brand website). This is a higher end product that I will definitely get full use out of in my collection. Items like skincare, eyeshadows and foundations are typically items I am willing to invest in for my everyday routine.

Charlotte Tilbury product really are luxurious and every one I’ve tried has looked amazing. This Luxury Pillow Talk palette is the epitome of style and beauty. You get 4 shades of rosy and brown tones, mattes and shimmers to create so many different looks. Yes you do only get 4 shades but the versatility of these colors are great for day to night looks. The matte shades are wonderfully pigmented and the shimmers apply well and blend down to a satiny finish. Mattes are buildable while using the shimmers to highlight and define a perfect look. These colors apply seamlessly and give you the ultra soft and glamorous payoff it’s amazing. A great CT product

I received the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Luxury Palette courtesy of Influenster and Charlotte Tilbury in exchange for my honest review. I am no stranger to CT products. I have a collection full of things that I love from the brand. CT is a luxury brand so the price does reflect that. I personally have no issue paying a higher price tag for a product if the quality is there. The 4 eyeshadows in this quad definitely are high quality. They are smooth, easily blendable, pigmented, and easy to work with even on my mature eyes. The packaging is elegant and does look luxurious. It is not bulky and would be travel friendly for those that travel. It is easy to create several different looks with the 4 eyeshadows included. Sometimes I find rosy shades can make me look sickly, but these shades had enough warmth that they looked good with my brown eyes and tan skin. I like the palette size. I do not regularly use more than 2 eyeshadows for my day to day looks. I am knocking off one star because although Pillow Talk is iconic in the makeup industry- the eyeshadow shades are not truly unique. Since I have an extensive makeup collection I can duplicate the shades. With CT being at a higher price point you could find these shades at a lower cost. If you want the CT luxury experience and these shades speak to you I would highly recommend this palette as well as many other CT products. The bronzer, lip liners, and lipsticks are products I use all the time just to name a few.

This review is specifically about the Exaggereyes quad. For me this is a HG eyeshadow product. Charlottes eyeshadow formula are so different from formulas I'm used to. It definitely is more about buildability and sheerness than it is about color payoff, so if you're expecting insane pigmentation you will be letdown.I'm nearing 40 and for my day to day I prefer something subtle that doesn't emphasize eye texture and this works great for my fair skin as the colors are sheer i can build them up if I'd like or leave them subtle if I prefer it. I do think deeper skin tones might have more difficulty getting the same effect though. Pillow Talk Dreams Palette is the Worst Quality
14 December 2022

Received the Pillow Talk Dreams as a birthday gift, and just for clarity, I didn’t ask for this. I’ve tried Exaggereyes palette and the all matte palette. Neither are bad but the all matte is not really worth the money. The Pillow Talk Dreams Palette is so so bad I’m going to need to return it. Unfortunately, it’s got colors I hate, but my real problem with it is the quality. The pop shade is very powdery which is bad and causes glitter to fall on your face and different from the pop shade I tried in the Exaggereyes palette. The prime shade is also very powdery; though it looks really pretty first applied (only on a sticky base I’ll add) it will fade very quickly. The prime shade is also very powdery; though it looks really pretty first applied (only on a sticky base I’ll add) it will fade very quickly. The matte shades don’t even apply or build and blend right off the eye to creat a messy patchy unattractive look (also the shimmer shade blends right off the eye so no blending with it on, and if you put it over a powdery base it will be muted); the top right lighter matte is worse than the dark brown matte (never had this problem with any shadows I’ve tried). The Exaggereyes is far better than this Pillow Talk Dreams, but it’s not long lasting because of creasing (I’m not a big fan of eye primer). I don’t think eye primer will help with the problems I just had with this Pillow Talk Dreams palette though it could make the Exaggereyes great. Because I know that the quality in these palettes vary, I’d still be interested to try the Golden Goddess, Bella Sophia, and the original Pillow Talk palette, but it’s discouraging to know it’s a 50/50 chance it will be poor quality. Pictures are in bathroom lighting and natural lighting; “prime” shade on the lid, “enhance” in the crease, “super pop” topped on the lid, and the “smoke” shade on the lash line with the black shade from MAC’s semi-sweet times 9 palette. Only 20 minutes of wear. I’ll admit I might’ve been kinder to the quality if I didn’t hate the colors so much.

I tried to paint eye shadow before pasting it, which is much more natural than pasting eye shadow after pasting it first. It's super cost-effective. I checked it immediately after receiving it. I found that it's the same as the picture description. I like it very much. The seller's delivery is fast, the service is up to standard, the customer service attitude is very good and careful, and I will buy it next time. The eye shadow I follow is particularly suitable, and it does not affect the eye shadow color, Crazy grass planting, and the price of this double eyelid sticker is very cheap. The buyer's delivery speed is also very fast, and there is absolutely no problem for a better seller. The quality in these palettes goes from fab to drab, depending on which one you choose. The formula ranges from 10/10 like in the Desert Haze palette, to awful, like the Walk of No Shame palette. If you are a die hard matte fan, I would look elsewhere, however if you want a range of looks that can all fit in a drawer, dont need a lot of transition shades (which I do, as I have HUGE eye lid space) and like a "middle of the road" shimmer, then this might be a good place to start. If you have a deeper skin tone, I dont think these are that great either. Its almost as though CT made all her products to simply suit her own fair skin tone and look, with little thought given to how they would perform on deeper or even, warm skin tones. The company has clearly tried recently to scramble to some form of inclusivity with its latest offerings, but alas, I'm still not impressed. Weak pigmentations still reign supreme. I have 10 of these so I have a bit of experience with them. The size and portability is by far their best feature, they are indeed delightfully cute, however, there are better formulas out there, for a similar price, such as ABH or Vieve.
