Took a very longtime to get going and cook, but the taste was amazing. The manual adjustments that need to be made throughout cooking process of the Rotisserie (up or down) are quite awkward and a little difficult to do with food on the skewer. But you get what you pay for and for the price it does the job well.

You will be astonished by how juicy the roasts you get on this rotisserie are. For a pretty small investment you get the best tasting barbecues. The meat is so juicy that in the unlikely event you have leftovers, they will last in the fridge and still taste wonderful. Highly recommended.

The charcoal grate is too thin and warped on its first use. The powder coating burned off. The motor grinds with minimal load. The charcoal grate is too low and gaps are too wide meaning the charcoal burns hot and fast.Don't waste your time money and meat unless your handy enough to build a new grate, strip the "powdercoat" and recoat with heat resistant paint. By that stage you're up to a better functioning unit.
So very easy to put together. We put a leg of lamb on the spit and 3 hours later had the best tasting lamb we've enjoyed for a long time! The meat was so tender & the best part was standing around the spit, basting and enjoying a wine in the warmth of the coals! We are excited to see what else we can do.
Amazing and works so well BUT it needs a lid or something to stop the wind from blowing over. Tried cooking a roast chicken last night under our veranda as away from the wind as possible, which should have only taken about 2-3 hours but ended up going for 6 hours and still not done - ended up having to chuck it in the oven. Don't get me wrong, it works perfectly but having something to stop the wind from blowing over would definitely speed up the cooking time. Otherwise, definitely loved using it! It was super easy to put together and use and is great quality for the price!
Awesome family size Spit. We have used it every weekend since I purchased it 4 weeks ago. It creates a great warm outdoor atmosphere to sit around too. We Love it.
Previous reviews mention the paint being damaged after 1 use, I have used it 3 times now for various meats and it still looks brand new. The body is well designed and sturdy. The Rotisserie itself is tough, and can comfortably handle up to 9-10KG of meat.The Meat cooked well, and the flavours were delicious!
I bought this just before Christmas and only just had a chance to use it. Super easy to put together and is easy to store out of the way in our garden shed when not needed. It seems to be of decent quality, however the black paint flaked off underneath after first use so is obviously not a quality heat resistant coating. Not a big deal. You can get automotive exhaust paint that WILL work much better that I'll probably spray the bottom of it eventually... But I'm not really fussed what it looks like. It cooks well and that's the main thing.
I love this spit roaster! i shold have bought one years ago- seriosly good value! and i can now cook seriously good food! so far i have done the Spit roast chicken, Greek style Lamb & awesome beef! the magic is that the moisture stays in the food, so when its cooked a couple of hours later it is dripping with juice! also this spit roaster frim BCF is way better than other brands that look simular, go the BCF one I`m sure you will be happy!
