This is the best large frypan I have used which I purchased to replace my old teflon pan (for health reasons). while you have be careful in how to clean it, it works fantastically well due to the cast iron construction. Peter of Kensington delivers very quickly with eco-friendly packaging.

Nice volcanic red enamel glaze, letters and finish not quite up to the standard of some of the others but still very good. Black interior is excellent and easy to clean. We wish it came with a lid.

Heats up very quickly and is easily cleaned. Stays on my hot plate for everyday use. Pity it doesn’t come with a lid to protect from spattering. Very heavy frypan and handle gets hot so you need a good pit mits if shifting.Linley Filmer

Really disappointed in this product. Food burns very easily in this pan. The food sticks to the base and is really hard to clean off. Has to be soaked each time I cook meat in it. Also the outside enamelled finish is also hard to clean. Finally it is quite heavy and difficult t handle when it is hot. I would have returned this item but unfortunately destroyed the carton before using the pan. I have a Chasseur French oven and really love it and have no problem cleaning it, hence the reason why I bought the frypan.

Following 21 months of ownership I can safely say provided you take care of this pan it will give you a great cooking experience every time. It is very heavy and sturdy, has a really lovely feel and the cooking surface is holding up well to regular cookin

I have used my Chasseur white cast iron pan so many times since it was delivered. It's fantastic. I was originally going to order the same pan in black but decided to go with the white. I'm so pleased I did. It has white gloss finish & is so easy to wipe over, & washing is a breeze. Heat retention is good & appears to be evenly distributed with everything I have cooked so far. The handle does get hot, which I knew it would be. I use a silicone sleeve but a pot holder would be sufficient. I have a gas cooktop. I wanted to be able use in the oven as well so the wooden handle didn't suit my needs. Can't wait to try cooking a fritatta!
