My husband makes sour dough, this bowl is perfect, is heavy enough that it does not come up off the bench each time he pulls the dough up to stretch it, I used to have to hold the plastic bowl by the sides while he stretched it. So I have lost a job now and am not required for this mundane job anymore.
Great experience. I needed a large bowl of this capacity to make rhubarb champagne from a recipe. The first batch is currently brewing in sealed bottles. It should be ready in about three weeks.
This is a really great size bowl.It is a good weight and I can’t wait to make my Christmas pudding and cake in it. Usually I have trouble finding a bowl big enough, but not now.
I had a Chasseur mixing bowl but it developed a crack and I had to throw it away. I loved it so I went looking to find another only to find that it is really difficult to find ceramic mixing bowls. I discovered Everten and they had the mixing bowls. It was easy to order and the bowl arrived really quickly. I love my new bowl and I would use Everten again for kitchen purchases.
