I bought the Chef Cooktop a month ago due to the ceramic cooktop exploding. It was more expensive but I needed a replacement fast and the delivery and installation was a couple of days and not weeks as quoted by another company. I have had no problems with it thus far, in fact it works better and cannot shatter so that gives us peace of mind.

I bought this a month ago, and though I am now happy with the chef stove top I bought, I am not happy that I had to pay an extra installation fee as the screws that were in the electricity box of the stove top were so tight, it took an extra half hours work for the electrician to unscrew them to make it workable. I have replaced this stove top three times in my fifty year residence of my house, and this is the first time I gave had an electrician encounter this problem. I will also comment that the same electrician has fitted the last two.

Suggest a warning would be good, when having a element on DO NOT TOUCH the white surrounds of that element or near by otherwise you will get burnt like my two fingers when trying to clean some food. Secondly the RED light to indicate the cooktop is on should be BIGGER, had to see if ON! Thank you for reading my review.

This is a high-quality robust electric cooktop. It is easy to use and keep clean due to the solid heating element design. The control knobs are easy to grip in order to adjust the heat settings for perfect cooking temperatures.
Bought a month ago. Works well. Was the only. Cook top that came close to fitting hole from old cook top being almost 90cm long & width of 45cm. All others we looked at were 52cm in width & would not fit.
I bought this stove top about a month ago and I am very happy with it. It is very easy to keep clean and the knobs are perfect for my arthritic hands.
Had to replace my 40 year old cooker, the Chef was an equivalent size. Good quality and easy to use. I would buy again
I brought this product under 12 months and Cooktop is already rusting. This product was still under warranty and Harvey Norman refused to help me in any way. Very disappointed and will bot be purchasing through Harvey Norman again.
I bought this item a month ago and so glad that I did.. for almost a year my stove top on had 1 element then that busted and was using a portable. When I found this I was amazed by the price and bought it then and there. It is perfect for price and fantastic quality.
I bought this cooktop because it's the only cooktop that will fit into my kitchen cooktop hole. I've been using it for a month now and i must say I'm very pleased with it. It does what it's supposed to do and it's easy to clean. My only concern is the silver lining around the solid elements. It's already discoloured, so I don't know how it's going to look like years down the track. Other than that, I'm quite happy with my purchase.
