The hot plates are good & the oven works well...but there is NO OVEN LIGHT installed in the manufacture of this oven. Seriously, what bean counter that obviously hasn't boiled water in their life was in charge of building an oven without an oven light. It used to be a given with these products. Check first before choosing any oven these days that HAS an oven light!

Good price

I bought this a month ago and the top is easy to clean which is why I wanted a new oven after one with the rings. Controlling the heat is not so easy because the surface doesn’t go red hot like rings do. And there is no separate griller compartment just a grilling tray in the oven. The instructions say to remove the tray before using the oven. I leave the tray out of the oven all the time as I don’t grill much. There is no light or fan or timer.

Great oven

This is a basic cooker and is priced accordingly. It is very good value for money, and has performed well during the several weeks that we have had it. I could wish that there was a light in the oven, but otherwise it meets all my simple cooking needs.

Heats up so fast and cooks evenly...but the hotplates rusted in 2 days !
4 January 2023

A lovely neat little stove...but no oven light and no timer. It heats up so fast and cooks evenly...but the hotplates look so ugly. My friends thought it was rust.I try and clean it off, but it comes back. A Brown rusty build up on the plates. SUCH A DISSAPOINTMENT

Poor insulation No Lighting No timer

Limited to what’s available on the freestanding oven market by the size of our kitchen. Element at the top cooks all on top, nothing underneath. The racks have a minimal rim towards the back of the device that isn’t substantial enough to stop a tray from sliding off into the back of the oven. No light to see what’s going on. No on/off indication light for the stove hot plates on the top. Has no energy rating ie: Drains more of power than any oven I’ve used previously. The price should be cheaper for what you get with this device. Actually Not even worthy of re-sale.

Readily and satisfactorily meets our needs

This is the first time we have had a full plate Chef, others were the coil element. We found the plates are slower to reach the dial level of heat but they retain their heat for a much longer period after being turned off. This means we need to remember to remove the item prior to its final stage if we are leaving it there. We really miss having a separate grill and have moved it down to produce a better oven element effect.

Stovetop ok but terrible oven
21 January 2021

Was bought to replace a stove in the house I’m renting, wish we’d kept the old one with a broken element. Oven cooks extremely slow except on top shelf, so you have to continually swap multiple trays and everything takes forever to cook. No light or timer and it’s hard to tell when the oven or stovetop has been left on. Stovetop is ok but does take a while to heat and cool down. Would not recommend.

The stove fits the purpose ...replacement of the old one.
10 March 2021

The stove is inexpensive and cost less than the price of replacing its 4 hot plates at $140gst and a sparky twice toremove and install them.560320mucking about. The new stove $580 $160 for sparky. And you get a new stove wired in. If you need delivery $55 extra.but the hotplates needed delivery too.The oven is basic with grill, no fan forced or timers etc and the hotplates corrode if they are left wet eventually shorting out the elements....dzzzzt.Would like indicator lights for each hot plate"on"...and the older ones had a higher back plate on the wall side.Would like plug in able elements. But the unit works and fits the space in the kitchen.

Very very basic, I am disappointed in it.
4 December 2022

This oven does not have a timer ! Or an oven light ! I never thought to check for those things thinking they always came as standard. Also the grilling tray doesn't hold horizontal so you can't partially pull it out like a typical oven rack to check on progress. And to use the oven you need to fully remove the grilling tray, every time you want to use the oven.

You get what you pay for
22 May 2020

I bought this 3 weeks ago and I am not happy with it at all. The grill plate has to be removed when using the oven and as it has no side rails, it scrapes along the side off the oven, scratching off the enamel. The hot plates heat inconsistently and you can’t set temp in between temps because the knobs are set between temps. The ideal heating would be between 3 and 4 but you can’t do that. The grill heats too hot and burns food quickly and the oven takes a long time to heat up. I called to ask if I could return this oven but was told no due to COVID. I would not recommend this oven.
