I bought this cooktop approx 2 months ago. After the first use the stainless steel hotplate ring became discoloured. I contacted Electrolux customer care and they advised this was normal due to "heat transfer". They added if pot is quite large and traps the heat under it will change the colour. If you are fussy about the appearance of your kitchen appliances don't buy.

I bought it a few months ago as replacement for two induction cooktops broken in period of a year. One was on a warranty, but repairers said that they could not get parts, so I was given rebate. I decided to go with traditional solid element cooktop as this Chef model. When all world is running short of microchips and all other electronic elements, it is safer to have appliances without any fancy electronics. This model suits this description. My hope that it will last for years, as there is not much parts in it: just heating elements, switches and a few others.

Comes without the power cord or instructions on how to install it. You might have to call an electrician and spend more money just to connect it to the power.
We’ve had good performances from chef cooktop over the last 20years
Very happy. Previous cooktop was glass and hard to keep clean. This is veryeasy to clean and elements cook quickly.
