My cans were filled mostly with water or tasteless liquids! There was not enough crab to make anything. I would have had to have 8 cans or more ; and also the crab meat was tasteless and had shells in it i had 5 cans in my cupboard all with the same contents. I found this out on the day I was cooking for friends! I wish I could get ahold of the company to complain. I had to come up with another dish and included tuna to make the side dish

Bait and switch at its best!

On opening the can I burst out laughing-I had no business buying crabmeat by COS!There were tiny threads (of something masquerading as crabmeat) like what might escape through a sieve. There was nothing lump about it! Please save your money and find some real crabmeat not leftover dregs. Beyond disappointed. Wasn't expecting big chunks but this could have been some mystery threads artificially flavored andscented. A definite FAIL.

Big Lump!

I was impressed with this Chicken of the Sea Lump Crabmeat. There was a lot of crabmeat in this 6 OZ can. You would get approximately about 4.25 OZ of crabmeat and it tastes very good more than I expected. I just love this because it’s so convenient and easy to use in salads, sandwiches, soups or crab cakes. The crabmeat is clean and safe to eat without any hard broken shell in it. Although this is a can crabmeat, but the crabmeat is still tasty, flavorful and fresh! Just great.

Great Option

This was my first time trying canned crabmeat, and I loved the taste! Having grown up near the Chesapeake Bay, we would often have and pick crabs. I'm familiar with quality. I used this Chicken of the Sea crabmeat in my classic omelette recipe for brunch. It was a hit! No canned fishy taste. Great texture. This is a great alternative for when there's not fresh crab available. I recommend!

Great substitute

Received this product gratis in return for a review. One of my favorite dishes is my wife's crab bisque, but she hasn't made it for a while due to the price of fresh crab being so high lately. We decided that she would try to make a smaller size pot using this canned crabmeat as a substitute and see how it comes out. Well, it came out just fine. Allowing for a difference in taste because she modified her recipe some to account for less crabmeat than she normally uses when we buy it fresh, this bisque was very satisfying, and in fact I could not really discern any difference in taste of the crabmeat itself in the bisque. I think we'll be buying this in the future to keep me from going into crab bisque withdrawal. Definitely recommend it. Perfect for dips and soups

I wasn’t sure about this. But it worked perfectly. I made crab Rangoon dip, and this was way cheaper than the fresh pack and just the right size. Doesn’t taste like can at all. I’d recommend it for any mix ins like dip or bisque. Idk about crab cakes though.

STINKY!!!

This crab stink really bad.It's like stinky ocean smell I boiled it but smell didn't come off.I love seafood and even had real crabs but this brand of crab is really bad.I dumped it all wasted my money.

Too much shell

I bought a 16 oz can of crab meat. Made it into Crab cakes. Looked great but every bite had shell or fiber. Very disappointed. My supper guess we're no impressed with the crab. A lot of money for a can of shells

Yummy crab meat! Good quality ingredients and composition. I love the taste, perfect for dinner with a salad, or to add to quick lunch. Crab meat is also has health benefits.

I added this can of Chicken of the Sea Lump Crabmeat to a crabmeat dip recipe that my Mom always makes for get-togethers. Since I was a kid, this was always one of my favorite treats. Adding the Chicken of the Sea Lump Crabmeat really enhanced the dip and made it extra tasty! I highly recommend this product!!!
