I looked for a side by side fridge freezer for quite some time and read several good reviews on the CHiQ 559L. It fits well into kitchen gap and looks good. The fridge side works well like a normal fridge. However, the freezer side lets it down. I left fridge/freezer for 48 hours before placing food into it. Freezer is set at -16c and fridge -3c. All seemed ok until I checked icecream. Icecream was soft, particularly icecream blocks. Luckily I also have a chest freezer and I have had to keep icecream in there, which I didn't want to as chest freezer is in garage and I wanted items to be kept in the kitchen. Eventually ice pops did freeze after another few days but icecream blocks are soft. As such I have had to throw them away. As usual the delivery guys were excellent and item was finally delivered. However, despite the fridge side being ok and cold (it's on 3c) the freezer set at -16c took a long time to freeze. I never thought I'd have the budget for such a large double door appliance. All the functions work as described, the water dispenser is simple but effective. The left hand external side gets a bit warm. The installers had to take doors off to get through my front door, but was installed within minutes.
Very happy so far with our new fridge. Looks and feels very smart. Great family size. Pull out draws are a little annoying as sometimes they slip off the runner and you have to fiddle a bit to get them back in. Love the cold water that doesn't need plumbing. Highly recommend.
Very quite motor, in-built door handles a really good feature. Chiq 559L was a replacement for our 17 year old model, definitely like the newer model
the product is great but the water dispenser should be able to come out easer for cleaning
