Absolutely fantastic for grip training. I broke my right wrist last August and my hand is still not up to snuff. My physio guy said to find something that I can squeeze and manipulate while watching TV. These balls are right on. There is enough resistance that my hand has to work, they are soft but not as soft as stress balls. When I no longer need them, it'll be awhile yet as I am now healing my left wrist and hand that I broke in March, I am sure I can find a Good Boy or Good Girl who would like to chase them.

I'm disappointed in these as well as the other balls I recently bought. My toy obsessed dog doesn't even chase these much of the time and leaves them in the yard. They don't bounce well and don't have much weight to them. The openings don't seem to help with his breathing while carrying in his mouth because he sounds the same as when he plays with his preferred ball. He likes these even less than the glow balls and medley I chose during the sale Chewy had going. Don't waste your money. Get the solid Chuckit balls instead.

I purchased a ball launcher so that I could throw the ball farther for an energized husky. The launcher came with two tennis balls, which have fuzz on them. Our husky loves to skin those balls, so I bought these rubber Chuckit balls. They are wonderful, fit into the launcher, are waterproof and Mochi doesn’t try to destroy them. They are also more comfortable in Mochi’s mouth. After a good slobbery game of chase, these balls are easy to wash and quick to dry.

We bought this ball for indoor use, because it is softer than a tennis ball, and less likely to break something. Our dog LOVES it! We will find him curled up with it!First one lasted 3 years (?), with heavy use and heavy chewing, until one of the connections broke.I did not even think about the airflow feature (lets dog breathe easier than with a tennis ball in their mouth) until I read the package with the replacement ball.I like that they come in sizes for different size dogs.
This has been a great addition to our Chuck-It collection. As with ALL toys, it's the owners responsibility to supervise your animal during play, and most importantly, during the initial introduction of a new toy. This establishes the boundaries and expectations from both. This ball is extremely soft and flexible compared to a standard Chuck-It Whistler ball or tennis ball. It will not bounce like a standard ball or travel as far when launched from a Chuck-It or thrown by hand. With that being said, we love this ball and so does Winston. It's pliability is gentle for Winston's aggressive approach to ball recovery and also makes a great inside ball. The "Breathe Right" aspect is great because even during the most strenuous play session, he can still breathe freely ... MoreThis has been a great addition to our Chuck-It collection. This is the main reason we even ordered the ball to try. We've had this ball for 5 months and it's been from the mountains to the beach and countless hours of play. Hands down Winston's favorite ball. Ordering a back up today. The product is small dog friendly. I recommend for supervised play, and non-aggressive chewers.
Personally I like this ball, its light, bright, bouncy and easy to squish into a corner of my bag to carry around. Unfortunately the dog liked the ball so much she chewed it to death in under a minute. Its a bit dangerous as the rubber pieces come off in swallowable sizes when their bonds break off the ball and the ball itself gets stuck on the dogs lower jaw (mine ran around for 10 mins with a broken ball projecting from her bottom teeth until I could free her from it). Use under supervision. Waste of $22 for me.
Note - My fetch player does not overheat so my review is more focused on the ball's playability. If you have a dog that does overheat do consider trying this ball.We have Chuckit! Ultra and Glow balls in regular use at my home - both loved by dogs and people alike, so I wanted to try this version as well. The open form of this ball does allow for more airflow for the dog carrying it (Ultra has no holes, Glow has a hole through the middle of the ball). This makes the ball also significantly lighter. It does not fly as far, does not bounce as high, and it is much quieter (barest sound on concrete, often no sound at all when falling on grass/leaves and none when in the air - Ultra hits the "loudest" and Glow whistles somewhat when it flies). My dog often overruns this ball. He takes off when I raise the launcher but the ball does not go as far as he is used to and often it has fallen, bounced and stopped before he turns around giving me the "hurry up and throw look". So my fun, watching him catch a bouncing ball at a full run across the field and seeing the joy on his face as he comes running back, is diminished. I think his fun is less too (he certainly gets less exercise/running with this ball). My dog does love the feel of the ball though (he likes to carry balls around even without fetch) and does choose it occasionally from his stash for play.
NOT for chewers, not for unsupervised play, not for tugging. Only for supervised ChuckIt fetch!Used in place of tennis balls and regular Chuckit balls and now my dog only wants these. ??? They’re like a drug addiction for my one year old dogote. She loves these. She’s not an aggressive chewer but loves to chew the toughest nylabones. For fetch only. She walks around in backyard alone and on neighborhood walks keeping these in her mouth like a security blanket/toy. Whines when I put them away. Seriously oddly addicted immediately. These air balls do not launch as far as the solid balls which can be plus for fenced in yards. Works very well with launcher. I bought four more, size medium.
I've had problems that the "normal" chuckit balls don't last very long as the multiple pieces come unpeeled, so I tried these. We haven't worn one out yet and they last quite a while. They are light and airy, so behave different from the normal chuckit balls.1. They don't go as far when you throw them. I easily get 20m or so, but if I go to a big park, I'll bring heavier balls. My dog is a vizsla, so when we are at the big park, she wants to run far.2. They float in pool, but only just. When my dog jumps in after it and knocks it underwater, she might have to wait a few seconds for it to surface again. No problem at all, but just different.3. I worry about her teeth when she catches heavier balls in mid-air (I try to avoid it, but sometimes she gets there ... MoreI've had problems that the "normal" chuckit balls don't last very long as the multiple pieces come unpeeled, so I tried these. They occasionally slip out of the chuckit thrower, but it's easily managed once you get the hang of it.I've not worn one out yet, but bought two more, just in case they get discontinued.
I ordered this ball thinking that it would be: 'Assembled Product Dimensions (L x W x H)9.00 x 7.00 x 5.00 Inches'. I was so excited to see a ball that would be this big. It did state XL. Well, unfornately when it arrived I was extremely dissappointed as the ball was about 3 inches! I would have sent it back, but this was the only ball that I could find that my dog plays with, and she needed one right away. I just wanted to leave a review so others knew that the size is completely wrong.
