Just ordered one because my dog loves the old one, as shown in the photo on the website, but when it arrived it was a different design - much softer and kind of sticky. 5 stars on the old one, and 2 stars on the new one.

The picture doesn’t match the item you will get. The pictured item is the older design that was a heavier and sturdier design which apparently was replaced by a thinner and flimsy one. I was hoping to get the one pictured since I could not find them in stores, but no. To my horror the flimsy one showed up and had to be returned. I’m not paying that for a weak stick to be torn up by my dog in 3-4 days. The older ones were better and lasted months to a year.

it's not huge (~30.5cm long and 4.5cm wide) and is quite light. I haven't got a good technique for throwing very far due to the weight so may add a rope for extra swing. When the end catches the ground and it somersaults as it lands you can see how it's a lot safer than a normal stick.

Great toy! My dog loves it! Squidgy to mouth and so far still in one piece and easy to throw too!
After a few run-ins with the sharp end of branches, we decided that our stick-loving pup needed something safer. This is a great alternative and keeps us away from the vet all while keeping our dog happy.
I am a licensed veterinary technician and this toy is dangerous. I bought it for my 30 lb border collie mix. She isn’t a heavy chewer, but was able to quickly chew pieces of the toy off. Luckily I supervise my dog with new toys and was able to take the toy and pieces she chewed off away before she could swallow them. This toy could result in an expensive foreign body surgery.
My dogs are water babies so this is ideal to use when they go for a swim and retrieve. It also helps them not to swallow too much water as we have to limit their water access. Also good for use in the garden as a throw stick.
At the beginning, my dog found it a little difficult to understand how to catch the treat inside the tube. But once she understands, she like it a lot and with it very well. It's very sturdy, nice quality! I'm very happy with this purchase :)
I previously purchased the Chuckit Breathe Right balls for my dogs and she loves them. She’s had them for two years with no issues. She loved this stick version, but it ripped in less than a day. :(
