My husky/pitbull of three years absolutely destroys balls/toys/anything. I have thrown this frisbee to my dog countless times and as she runs back, she shakes her head left and right, trying to have it come apart. It doesn't have a single tear. Awesome product. I'm online right now buying backups just in case this product is wrongly discontinued, like many others that are great. I don't normally review, but this frisbee is the best!

We purchased one of these several years ago and have purchased 2 more since. Our Border Collie Aussy mix would carry it around and leave it places we couldn't find. She loves it and it is by far her favorite toy. It flies true and doesn't get ruined from playing fetch.

Bought this for my active red heeler who loves to play catch, and loves his "chuck-it throwing stick". After 10 minutes of catching the flyer in the air, it literally started falling apart. Very disappointed in the quality of this item that is suppose to be durable. Sorry "chuck-it" but going back to the reliable and very durable "Nerf Flying Disc". I wish I had read the reviews and not the packaging before spending the money!

My dogs a heavy chewer. This is holding up pretty good. It’s easy for him to carry and I love that the corners glow I. The dark. My Chuck it glow in the dark ball glows much much better though. My only complaint is that it’s very difficult to throw it straight.
This is a really fun outdoor dog toy and a great alternative to a frisbee. It flies a bit haphazardly which adds some extra excitement. It's a little harder to catch than a disc shaped frisbee so it keeps Eddie on his toes. When it goes sideways if often lands and continues rolling fast like a wheel - so it's a catch and/or chase toy. I guess the Australian animal equivalent would be a sugar glider.
This is a great flying toy and my dog LOVES to play fetch with it. We play with it almost daily and he gets great exercise. However, I have to buy a new one every 3-4 weeks because this toy is not durable. It falls apart really quickly. It makes me want to re-design it myself. I suggest the following improvements: 1) Make the stitching MUCH stronger. 2) Improve the corners/tips and stiffeners so they don't come apart so quickly. 3) Use color-fast fabric. ETC. Please note that when the Flying Squirrel gets muddy, I have to rinse it off (almost every day,) so it needs to be able to withstand water/rinsing/scrubbing.
I have been using Chuck-it! frisbees for years with my dog. When Chuck-it! discontinued the large triangular Heliflight I wasn't sure what I was going to do because my dog LOVED his - we had been through 3 of them. The Flying Squirrel is no different in quality and comfort for my dogs mouth. Colors are great and it feels pretty durable given it is for fetching and not for chewing (it wouldn't survive a good chew). The biggest issue and as other reviews have mentioned, throwing this thing is SO DIFFICULT at first. I looked like a dizzy 5 year old trying to get it to go straight and not crash to the ground. *** The key is to GET IT WET!!! I took it to the lake and that changed everything. 1) it floats 2) the extra water weight makes throwing it a breeze 3) my dog ... MoreI have been using Chuck-it! frisbees for years with my dog. I would 100% suggest this product for anyone planning on using it in the water. Using it on dry land takes some time and the learning curve is pretty painful, but it is still a solid choice for a lightweight fetching toy.
My dog absolutely loves to get out and run around in the snow. Me....not so much. I prefer to stand on the back porch and toss things to ol' Scooby and have him bring it back to me when the yard is full of the white stuff. The only problem with using Kong balls or even tennis balls is that quite often they will sink into the snow and my pooch can't seem to find them. His sniffer is not his strongest point. You know what that means, of course. Yes, that means I have to make my way all the way across the yard to help him find his ball. After the second or third time I'm like "Fuggedaboutit!" These flying squirrels are nice, because they land on top of the snow, so they're easy for Scooby to find. Plus, he thinks it's fun to pounce on them as if they're real squirrels. ... MoreMy dog absolutely loves to get out and run around in the snow. Me....not so much. The only caveat is that he also likes to chew on these, so sometimes he doesn't want to give it back and I have to make sure that I don't leave it somewhere where he can get to it and chew it up. Bring on the snow.
Our furry 4 legged huge 48kg Sheprador 18mth old pup is a never say die frisbee ultimate enthusiast! Any neg reviews on this and any other Chuckit phenomenal products don't know how to PLAY TOGETHER for what the toy was intended. Left to a board 'anything with teeth', like anything, it would be demolished rather promptly! A++++++++Thank you sooooo much Chuckit! Keep 'em coming!!
Group of 3 big dogs swim after the flying squirrel into the pacific ocean waves. It sits low in the water and they lose sight if it sometimes. Lost one a few weeks ago next to rocks in Laguna beach and a lot of churning water. Figured it got caught under water on the rocks. 1st day for the new one went well until my giant Shepadoodle lost sight of it in the foaming water and then we did too. Gone! We swam around and walked the coves incredulous that the ocean ate another! Oh well, the dogs really like the duck diver which haven't disappeared in the waves.
