Tired of hassling a mate whenever something needs welding? Well, hassle no more! The Weldskill 135 from Cigweld is the perfect starter kit for you. This is a MIG welding unit, arguably the easiest type of welding for a beginner to pick up. With everything you need to get started right there in the box, you dont even need to worry if youve forgotten anything! Theres wire, a face shield, chipping hammer and wire brush, spare tips, and nozzles. Just whack on some gloves, cover up with protective clothing, and youre good to go. The included flux core wire will allow you to get right into welding without jumping into the expense of a gas setup. Once youre ready to advance your skills, the machine can easily be set up for gas to really take the art of welding to the next level. While the output current of 135 amps packs the punch you need for steel up to 4mm thick, it can be turned right down to 30 amps for precise control on thinner metal. And it still functions on a 10 amp plug, the same power thats all through your home. Once youve used up the included 0.8mm welding wire, youll no doubt be keen for more. The Weldskill will fit a new wire spool up to 5 kilos and either 0.8 or 0.9 diameter. Its the perfect starter kit for welding, and as your competence increases, this welder will rise with you to meet the challenge. This welder operates from a standard 240V 10 amp power point and even has installed thermal protection that guards against possible overheating. Also included, is multiple voltage selection to be adjusted according to the varying thickness of materials. This item is ideally developed for the light to medium fabricator, tradesman, contactor or DIY hobbyist.

I'm amazed this welder has such good reviews.I bought two of these & they both broke within a week. The first one started to produce smoke as soon as I turned it on - clearly a short / manufacturing fault somewhere. The second one worked for a couple of days & then started malfunctioning - an issue with the trigger switch which meant that wire feed & arcing no longer worked.Perhaps these welders used to be built well - but clearly not anymore. Wasted a lot of my time with these & ended up taking them both back for a full refund. I do not recommend.

I bought this 12 months and 2 weeks ago. easy to use for a beginner welder, but this week, the trigger no longer works to feed wire or weld. The rest of the machine works with the lights on and fan working.Just outside the warranty by only 2 weeks. I think I will look elsewhere for a brand with longer warranty. Super cheap auto service was good but cannot help me in this case.

Great unit Absolutely recommend. Due to the mice plague in the north west . Mine was destroyed by mice as they thought It was a good place to breed some more dirty little suckers. I’m just waiting on a sale again to get a new one . But certainly recommend this unit .

This is a very good first mig welder. I had an earlier version 30 years ago and used it to death. I have not used a welder in over 25 years. This machine I picked up like it was yesterday… ok the vertical welds not so much to start with ;)However the instruction manual is crap. How hard is it to include a decent manual describing the set up???? One should not need to go on YouTube to work out how to set it up!!!!Super Cheap staff just great!!!
I purchase this CIG MIG welder on special and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of weld with flux core. I couldn't give the welder 5 stars because the hand piece had a very bad argon gas leak when set up for solid core. I found the "push" fit nylon argon hose in the hand piece was badly trimmed and distorted. Easily fixed by removing, trimming about 5 mm off the nylon hose end and refitting. Quality control is lacking.
Started a project that needs some welding even though I have never welded before. Bought this unit on sale $300. It comes with instructions and all the gear such as face mask, however these are lightweight and I bought an auto face mask, chipping hammer, breathing mask and welding gloves so an extra $80 of PPE.The unit was easy to set up as all you need to do is feed in the wire. Plugs into a standard power point. I practiced on some scrap and watched some instruction from the internet. After an afternoon I was starting to make welds that will do the job I need it to do. (No doubt poor compared to others)For a first timer it worked a treat.
Pretty happy with this unit.I've never welded before and (I know it sounds dodgy) watched a few YouTube videos. It was easy to set up and with a bit of practice on some scrap metal I know I'm now a master welder.Time to build that car trailer.Seriously - Easy to use, it's not going to look like weldporn on Facebook, but it does the job
This is the first welder I’ve owned and the first time I’ve welded anything so this isn’t a comparison review and I can only review on user friendliness of this unit. I suppose the brand has a good reputation and one of the great features in my opinion was the 10amp plug so I didn’t have to pay an electrician to wire the garage. The other great feature in my opinion is the 135 amp power so it can weld really tough plate steel anything above that for what I do is not required. Like the description says good beginner welder and I got it on special too so even better. Would recommend for sure. I will mention it does come with face shield and a wire brush, you will want to replace the face shield with a helmet straight away. I didn’t even try and use it it is very low ... MoreThis is the first welder I’ve owned and the first time I’ve welded anything so this isn’t a comparison review and I can only review on user friendliness of this unit. Bought this after Reviewing many different ones just for My house in town, Used this one first day for around 6 hours on and off welding frame work. The 135 did a great job Very easy to use (I'm a qualified welded), I used the gassless wire and it very surprised me how well it went. Motor is a bit loud , but your welding so that's nothing to worry about. The High setting (4) can trip your house Fuse circuit if their sensitive , but I found setting 3 more than enough , (and the bigger welders I've always had trip house fuses). Gave this a big run-in the first day and a good little workhorse. Cigweld have been around for ages and have had a good name behind them. This one certainly does the name well. PS get yourself a descent welding Helmut as the one that comes with ... MoreBought this after Reviewing many different ones just for My house in town, Used this one first day for around 6 hours on and off welding frame work. Companies want your review almost straight away. I haven’t actually used it yet but these things get reasonable reviews for what they are and SCA had a good price. Everything there to use out of the box but chuck the face shield and grab an auto when you can. Keep in mind you can’t connect gas with the 100 but can at a later date with the 135 so does both gas and gasless and is still 10amp for general home use power where the 150 is 15amp.
