This is a solidly good perfume - basically I've been through 3 bottles of this, and at first I was as enamoured with it as some other reviewers here. I found the blast of creamy orange and vanilla really comforting and sunny, and just delicious. It was exactly what I wanted - definitely sweet, but in a classy way, unlike Black Opium, Armani Si or bascially any other frgarance on the market at the moment. The jasmine is smooth and not jarring in the drydown, and the almond and vanilla just add a beautiful, attractive, inoffensive and entirely elegant and warm finish to it. Now I find myself buying another bottle after 6 months without it as I'm looking for its lovely sunny scent for my everyday/ work fragrance, and I spot a giant 90ml bottle for €50 . . . not too bad considering it will last me for at least 1 year if not 2! It is also something that men seem to like, and I would happily wear this on weekends too. It has enough depth and glamour and character to sustain itself outside of hours too - in a bar or on weekends. I cannot bear overly fresh/ cool/ shower gel-ish smelling scents . . . and this definitely doesn't smell like that. It does seem to melt into your skin, is noticeable at the end of the day, and is just gorgeous. Definitely try it! I wore this in my early 20s and will continue to wear it. It seems pretty timeless, and I love that it's not necessarily 'fashionable' i.e. front and centre in shops, but it's not at ALL old ladyish . . . and frankly calling any fragrance that is shallow and ageist :)

I used to generally only go in for strong florals but recently started branching a bit and this is one of the perfumes that makes me glad I did! In fact, it was a blind online buy for me! It's absolutely GORGEOUS! Sophisticated, elegant, classy and very feminine in a lady-like manner. It's on the strong side and can be whiffed some distance away. Whenever I have it on, I can't stop smelling it. Though I must say, it's not something I would wear daily but that's mainly cause my first love is strong florals. On the whole, I would totally recommend it and am really glad I got it.

My fragrance collection is versatile. I go from wanting to feel classy to sexy and then girly. So I have a range of different perfumes. This fragrance falls into the classy section of my wardrobe. This fragrance has been around for a long time but it doesn’t feel dated at all . It has this beautiful scent of Vanilla with a touch of flowers and it has a moderate silage. It has lasting power and it’s really feminine. I can’t say enough good things about this perfume. My 11 year old son tells me how good I smell when I wear this.

I have loved this scent from first sniff! My beautiful hubby and children got this for me for mother day 2021 I was elated! I got the 3 oz and travel. I wish there was a way to also get the jacket when they ordered it was a jacket or travel I choose the travel. My floors are super unforgivable and I pray I never drop it. I'm not even sure if the jacket would have helped with that?!? Maybe when I reorder I will be able to get one

Another discontinued beauty: Cinéma EDT by Yves Saint Laurent. An almond floral fragrance with notes of sweet tangerine, soft jasmine, delectable vanilla and resinous amber. This is an oriental fragrance done RIGHT ✅ and is more original than other offering currently on the market. This last for hours with moderate projection. If you can find this at your local fragrance boutique, PICK IT UP!!!! Have tried many waterproof mascaras and really put them to the test, this one honestly does the job! Sweaty gym session, steam room or sauna, swimming or a run in the rain wont get this moving. It does take a lil bit of extra to remove but a good cleansing oil takes off without issue or pulling out half ya lashes ;) its deep in colour and easy to apply, gives great length and lasts about 3 months maybe longer if you use occasionally, but as with all mascaras it will dry out. Brilliant product and a must have for me :)

I have been using this perfume since it’s launch in 2004 and even though I’ve tried other perfumes over the years this has been my constant go to. It is a beautiful fragrance that lasts on your skin and clothes for a long time and men always ask me what fragrance I’m wearing. I always take advantage of Boots offers on it as it’s such a great saving. Watch out for replicas that are always darker in colour and leave a bitter bad smell in your nose. There are rumours that it is likely to be discontinued which will devastate me!!!!

Not My No.1 Anymore

Unfortunately, this is not my number one anymore. Need to find a new wedding perfume...They must have changed the formula. I've been buying this one for years and the last 2 bottles I've had just had no smell at all. It used to last til the end of the day but now when i spray this new one on i get nothing. Very disappointing.

Not the same as it used to be.

I have worn Cinema on and off for 20 years. The bottle I bought off the YSL site lacks the original full perfume smell. It’s not luxurious nor does it have the original velvety fragrance. So disappointing! Unfortunately, I’ll need to find another signature fragrance. I used to get compliments all the time l wore Cinema. Now it’s not noticeable half an hour after I put it on.

This has been my favorite perfume since I first brought it, almost 17 years ago! This has been my signature perfume for the past 17 years and never disappoints! The compliments are endless, it's a smell that can never be forgotten, it will last forever, you'll even get a little cranky when you realize someone else you know has brought it... Until you realize it's actually a great compliment on your amazing taste with scents! I can't say enough about Cinema, it's just a beautiful product! 💛😍
