We are upgrading from a very old rice cooker so need to get used to the longer cooking time (approx 45 mins for white rice) and also to adjust the hardness of the rice to our taste. \n\nOverall the product is good (sings a melody when it starts and ends cooking). It is sturdy and easy to dismantle for washing. The non stick pot is good. \n\nHighly recommend this if you are looking for a no frail rice cooker.

I haven’t use this rice cooker yet. But I quite surprised that the inner pan is very thin and light. My previous one was HITACHI but not made in JAPAN and cheaper than this Zojirushi. The one was ticker. I am Japanese and I never saw this kind of thin inner pan since I was kid. Anyway hope rice is not too bad…

I've been reading reviews on this brand of rice cooker & it always positive reviews about how perfect the rice always comes out. I've been using this for about a week now & have followed instructions on cooking white rice & mix rice. The rice has come out hard for white & quick & mushy for soft. I tried cooking chicken biryani with store bought mix & used the mix option & rice came out mushy. I MISS MY OLD RICE COOKER.
