It does not strip the skin’s natural oils and leave my skin feeling tight and dry after using it. My skin actually feels lightly hydrating after applying this product. It claims to remove makeup effectively, but like every micellar water I have tried, it does not live up to this claim. It does effectively and thoroughly cleanse makeup free skin and it removes any remaining makeup after cleansing with a face wash. Although it does not live up to its makeup removing claims, I never expect a micellar water to remove my makeup. I have tried at least 6 or more micellar waters, and this one is my favourite. Part of being in the top 5 favourite skincare brands in the UK, must involve listening to your customers? Yet, I am almost certain the shea butter facial wash and peach comfort cleanser will now return to your shop shelves, despite customers begging for you to bring it back. I'll be looking elsewhere too, I'm afraid. Your new alpine range has been very disappointing ting and the standards of the products I tried are far below those of my regular purchases. Please clarins, listen to your customers, they are your bread and butter after all.

Clarins Cleansing Micellar Water 200Ml
16 May 2021

During my 20 years of using Clarins Ive never reviewed or complained about any product. However this product has motivated me to review... I am very disappointed and not very happy with the results and reactions my skin has had to this cleanser. It is extremely oily and is seperated in the bottle so have to really give it a good shake. It certainly does not remove eye shadow or mascara. I took it on holiday wedding anniversary and after 3 days of use my skin started to erupt into spots. I do not normally have blimishes but this was dreadful. I thought I would try it again 2 weeks later but same has happened. Thrown it away. The upside it smells lovely. Sadly this is the only product I will never purchase again.

VERY disappointed. I am used to layered cleansers which you need to shake properly before applying so yes I am doing it right. This one is one huge disaster. It is under the waterproof Makeup remover title but it does not remove anything. It smudges mascara a bit and only ater the hard rub which leaves your eyes sore and black all around. Also it is extremely oily and the oil is hard to remove even with soap so there is no way is this no need to rinse thing. MAYBE it is meant for extremely dry skin and it only removes powder or foundation but you do need a soap to rinse it afterwards and no, it wont help you if you wear waterproof mascara like me. Waste of money. If you need a really good mascara wash buy their Instant Eye MakeUp Remover which is so perfect I wish ... MoreVERY disappointed. Great light cleanser and versatile
1 April 2023

Didn’t know what Micellar water was until I got a sample of this. Loved it and bought a full bottle. Very nice to use at the end of the day as part of the cleansing process. Removes dirt and grime before face wash. Also great to use in between treatments when using the peels or masks. Also has a great addicting scent (I tried other brands, but hated the scents). Now on my third bottle and it is part of the general collection.

NOT good! Miss the old One Step Cleanser
25 September 2022

Terrible. I don’t know why Clarins stopped making the old Water Comfort One Step Cleanser. This is NOT a good replacement at all. It may be the first Clarins product that I dislike. The smell is awful, I don’t feel like it removes makeup the way the old cleanser did. There’s also more of a medicine feel to it, slight tingle. I’m sad I’ll have to look for a different brand now. I have sensitive skin and the old one step cleanser was amazing. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! This needs to go! Sorry.

Poor alternative to peach cleanser
13 May 2021

I was recommended this after using the chat function during lockdown as my normal peach water cleanser had been discontinued. This is literally like just using plain water! My skin is tight and visibly dry and flaky. Other amazing products have been discontinued such as the exfoliating brightening toner which I have never been able to find a suitable alternative. Wish I had bought a lifetime supply of that and the peach cleanser. I am disappointed to say the least and have been trying out other brands to find a more suitable skincare regime. My whole regime used to be clarins as it worked so well now I am struggling to get any of it to work and am getting really put off with great products that keep getting discontinued.

Very Disappointing !!!
24 September 2021

Ugh, when the beauty consultant at our local Shoppers informed me that Comfort One Step Cleanser with Peach Water had been discontinued .. I along with the other reviewers here was rather shocked. I have been religiously using that product for over 20 years .. maybe more and my skin is all the better for it. Now - this new product Micellar water has taken its place .. Are you kidding me ?? This product is absolute rubbish. My apologies for being so harsh..but DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE !! I am surprised that Clarins, a company that produces excellent and well loved cosmetics and skin care products, would even consider dropping a product that was so well received, and that out performs any cleansing products on the market, and then replaces it with this rubbish. ... MoreUgh, when the beauty consultant at our local Shoppers informed me that Comfort One Step Cleanser with Peach Water had been discontinued .. Ugh..Please Clarins..bring back the Comfort Cleansing Peach Water..please..It will be interesting to see whether Clarins is paying attention to the feedback from their loyal consumers..In the meantime, I am throwing the entire bottle out .. what a waste of money.

way too scented for my liking
14 October 2022

I was excited to try this product bc I've seen skincare incluencers tout this brand for other products. This was a little bit of a disappointment though. The scent is really strong. It doesn't smell bad, but it smells heavily perfumed. I switched to this from Vichy's micellar for sensitive skin which is unscented so it was a pretty big transition. I did eventually get used to the scent but for me this is a far better product for wiping down or refreshing my upper body if it's really hot out and I feel sweaty and stinky.I am not opposed to spending money on higher end products, this one performed well, but I will not repurchase due to the scent and tbh the experience has turned me off to the brand in general.
