I’ve never tried Clarins lip products before so I was excited to give this a try. I also love the chocolate shade I was given to try out. I love the simple packaging, it gets straight to the point of what I’m putting on my lips. Open and easy to grab product of of the box. The Lip oil itself is a nice chubby size but with plenty of product to use. Easy clear conditioner to see exactly what color you are using. To remove the top, it’s an easy turn and pull out applicator. The applicator is big and nice to cover the lips in one or two swipes. A True Lip Oil

I received my big Sephora sale order today and this was the first thing I tried. I think we're all mature enough to recognize that the Dior lip oil is aesthetically gorgeous, but does it really do anything? No. Is that okay to acknowledge? Absolutely. Compared to Dior, this product is truly an oil, not sticky at all, and feels smoother and more moisturizing to me. I'm sure it's not actually that moisturizing- none of these products truly are. But it's gorgeous and my boyfriend won't complain about it making his lips sticky when we kiss. I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about the scent and at least with the Raspberry shade it's just a light berry scent- nothing overpowering or offensive or weird. Besides the Dior lip oil, other "lip oils" I've found sticky are the Fenty and iNNBEAUTY ones. I don't mind stickiness at all- but you can't keep calling everything sticky when it's not. All liquid lip products will cling to hair in the wind, but that doesn't mean it's sticky it means it's a liquid!!!

The biggest letdown was that it did not live up to its visual promise. The doefoot applicator is MASSIVE, and perhaps best suited for large to the plumpiest of lips, whereas mine are a happy medium. The size also makes it less conducive to pinpoint one's cupid bow (as, you guessed it, I also possess). Further, the scent is a horribly fake, intense raspberry scent which, if you like to smell like candy, then you're in luck. If you don't, it is disappointing, being for what appears to be a more mature client base (at least historically). Not worth it even as a sample unfortunately

I received this as a sample in the shade 'honey'. It is very pleasant to apply........it does not tickle the lips and the applicator feels nice and glides smoothly over your lips coating you pretty evenly which is nice. In fact, the applicator is the star feature of this product. The oil itself is lightly fragranced, but not obtrusive or offensive. It is however extremely thin and soaks into your lips after roughly 10-15 min......if you eat/drink anything at all, the product completely wipes off and leaves your lips unprotected, but on its own it sinks in quickly and you would need to apply another lip mask overtop, therefore as much as I enjoy the beauty of the light fragrance and luxury of the amazing doe foot applicator, it is not worth the cost in my opinion. So bummed the formula is different!

It was just the right thickness, enough that it was a tad sticky but lasted for a while and smoothed out any of my fine lip lines, leaving my lips feeling moisturized. When I ran out of my last tube, I put off buying it again because I had a bunch of other similar lip products that I was trying to finish.
