The Clarins Lip Comfort Oil is a fantastic product for anyone looking for a nourishing and hydrating lip treatment. It comes in a variety of shades and is infused with beneficial ingredients like hazelnut oil and organic jojoba oil. One of the standout features of this lip oil is its lightweight and non-sticky formula. It glides on smoothly and instantly moisturizes the lips, leaving them feeling soft and supple. The texture is comfortable to wear and doesn't feel heavy or greasy. I also love the subtle shine it gives to the lips, providing a natural and healthy-looking glow. I’ve never tried Clarins lip products before so I was excited to give this a try. I also love the chocolate shade I was given to try out. I love the simple packaging, it gets straight to the point of what I’m putting on my lips. Open and easy to grab product of of the box. The Lip oil itself is a nice chubby size but with plenty of product to use. Easy clear conditioner to see exactly what color you are using. To remove the top, it’s an easy turn and pull out applicator. The applicator is big and nice to cover the lips in one or two swipes. It gives just the right amount of lip oil, unless you like to put more. I was happy with what applied to my lips with two dips. I know I’m guilty of using a lip oils or glosses because they taste good lol. Also the lip oil is not tacky or sticky on the lips so that’s a great feeling. It’s sits nicely on the lips and absorbs in. I would recommend this, and I would personally go buy this once I run out of the one I was sent to test out.

I received my big Sephora sale order today and this was the first thing I tried. I think we're all mature enough to recognize that the Dior lip oil is aesthetically gorgeous, but does it really do anything? No. Is that okay to acknowledge? Absolutely. Compared to Dior, this product is truly an oil, not sticky at all, and feels smoother and more moisturizing to me. I'm sure it's not actually that moisturizing- none of these products truly are. But it's gorgeous and my boyfriend won't complain about it making his lips sticky when we kiss. I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about the scent and at least with the Raspberry shade it's just a light berry scent- nothing overpowering or offensive or weird. I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about the scent and at least with the Raspberry shade it's just a light berry scent- nothing overpowering or offensive or weird. It's a lip oil, not a perfume... let's focus. For $10 less than Dior I don't think the price difference is significant enough to buy this one just for the lower price. But I do think it's overall better than Dior and it's a nice product to have in rotation- especially if you have an SO who doesn't like sticky lips. I'd also like to add that I don't think everyone understands what sticky means. If you rub your lips together with a product on and they stick... it's sticky. Besides the Dior lip oil, other "lip oils" I've found sticky are the Fenty and iNNBEAUTY ones. I don't mind stickiness at all- but you can't keep calling everything sticky when it's not. All liquid lip products will cling to hair in the wind, but that doesn't mean it's sticky it means it's a liquid!!!
I had high hopes for this lip oil, especially because of its appealing candy-like appearance in the packaging. Unfortunately, my experience with it was quite disappointing. The biggest letdown was that it did not live up to its visual promise. Once applied to the lips, there was absolutely no color payoff, which was disappointing given the candy-like appearance in the tube. I did not notice any plumping even though it was not something I was particularly looking for. While the lip oil did a decent job of nourishing my lips, it did not provide any remarkable benefits that set it apart from a regular lip gloss. I expected it to offer some unique features or a pop of color, but it essentially functioned as a typical gloss without any distinctive qualities. In ... It may work as a basic lip gloss, but it falls short of its visual promises and fails to deliver anything extraordinary in terms of appearance or benefits.
I recently purchased this lip oil in shade Pitaya and have been using it just well over a week now. Upon first application, I immediately fell in love with its super lightweight and gentle formula. I am someone who prefers to use a lip oil instead of a lip balm, as I prefer the texture of a lip oil - and this lip oil definitely ticked all the boxes for me! One thing I absolutely love about this lip oil is that it is not sticky like some of the other lip oils I've tried. Most importantly, this lip oil has done an amazing job at providing adequate hydration, leaving my lips feeling moisturized and nourished! Most importantly, this lip oil has done an amazing job at providing adequate hydration, leaving my lips feeling moisturized and nourished! However, one thing I do not like about lip oils is the heavy gloss / shine effect it gives, but I am so pleased with this lip oil as it provides just the right amount of shine / gloss, such that it looks natural and almost as if I have nothing on. Another thing I love about this lip oil is the subtle colour it gives my lips, making my lips look very natural once again - and I am amazed at the tint it leaves behind once the shine starts to disappear. Also, can we please talk about how spectacular the doe foot applicator is?! This is definitely my new go to lip oil and one that I would highly recommend! Would love to try out this lip oil in shade Honey, as an everyday lip oil and also shade Strawberry, as strawberry is my favourite fruit!
I have mixed feelings. On one hand, I appreciate the intense glossiness it gives, the beautiful ever-so-subtle colour, and its larger size, making it an easy grab in my bag.The downsides? The doefoot applicator is MASSIVE, and perhaps best suited for large to the plumpiest of lips, whereas mine are a happy medium. The size also makes it less conducive to pinpoint one's cupid bow (as, you guessed it, I also possess). Further, the scent is a horribly fake, intense raspberry scent which, if you like to smell like candy, then you're in luck. If you don't, it is disappointing, being for what appears to be a more mature client base (at least historically). I prefer only my candy to smell that way.And finally, for the cheap seats: it may moisturize temporarily, but it ... Or, is that just me?Regardless, meh. I will sure as hell use it up, but I'm not running back for more. I would certainly be inclined to try one that left a lovely stain; I think that would be a good solution for a product like this that rubs away quite fast.
I received this as a sample in the shade 'honey'. It is very pleasant to apply........it does not tickle the lips and the applicator feels nice and glides smoothly over your lips coating you pretty evenly which is nice. In fact, the applicator is the star feature of this product. The oil itself is lightly fragranced, but not obtrusive or offensive. It is however extremely thin and soaks into your lips after roughly 10-15 min......if you eat/drink anything at all, the product completely wipes off and leaves your lips unprotected, but on its own it sinks in quickly and you would need to apply another lip mask overtop, therefore as much as I enjoy the beauty of the light fragrance and luxury of the amazing doe foot applicator, it is not worth the cost in my opinion. To be honest, had I not received this for free I would have returned it, and I need a heavier lip product to help my lips as I live in a city with copious amounts of smog and wind/dust blowing in my face all day long. I wanted so much to enjoy having this product at least in my purse, but it had to be removed and replaced with something more intense for me personally. I usually really love Clarins products. I feel badly writing this review to be honest.
I used to be obsessed with this lip oil when in was in the square packaging. Raspberry was my go-to. It was just the right thickness, enough that it was a tad sticky but lasted for a while and smoothed out any of my fine lip lines, leaving my lips feeling moisturized. When I ran out of my last tube, I put off buying it again because I had a bunch of other similar lip products that I was trying to finish. I regret waiting now, since they updated it during that time.I recently repurchased it in Strawberry, thinking it would be the exact same formula, but nope - it's SO much thinner. I apply it and literally 20 minutes later my lips feel dry and it's already wearing off. I'm kind of mad. Why change the formula and make it appear it's the exact same product? Why not ... Why not make it clear you've changed things? I could see them rebranding this into a light lip oil for those that didn't love the stickiness of the prior one, but instead they hid the change and fooled people like me (and lots of others, apparently) into rebuying. Super disappointed - now I have to find a new holy grail lip oil/gloss.The only good thing I can say is that Strawberry smells nice.
I was curious about this reformulation/repackaging of this Clarins staple product. First of all, I'd call it a gloss rather than an oil. It's thicker than I expected. There is some tackiness, but it's not obnoxious. The colour I chose, Pitaya, is a pretty, soft pink that barely colours the lips. So far so good, but... I will never repurchase this, and here's why. There is a defect in the packaging -- but I can't tell you where! The threaded cap which holds the applicator clicks lightly when it's closed, but don't let that fool you. Somehow, this gloss verrrry slowly finds its way to the outside of the tube, and deposits little pink stains wherever it stands. I've been keeping it on my desk, standing on a white paper towel, and sure enough, every few days I'm greeted ... I have no idea why or how this happens. I just know that this product can't be trusted in a makeup bag or pocket. When I think back to when I received it, the inside of the box had a couple of pink blotches on the bottom, but I didn't think anything of it. I should have.
