These boots look great and pair well with jeans and other casual pants. The suede looks great, but does require some care so I would suggest using a suede protector. The stitching is perfect and the rubber soles are comfortable. It took a couple of days to break these shoes in, but after that they fit my feet great and seem pretty true to size. These are ankle boots and have just two pairs of eyelet holes for laces. I would have preferred a third because the laces do hang pretty low to the ground when tied. In any case, shorter laces would also resolve if this is an issue for you. Overall, I think these are great boots at a reasonable price. Recommended.

Purchased this second pair for my husband because he finds them to be very comfortable. He likes them also because they are leather and he can wear them with different outfits. They are durable too; he still has his first pair but needed new ones for the Holidays.

I am happy with these boots from Clarks. They are comfortable enough and the quality is decent. They look a lot more expensive than they actually are. I've owned plenty of other similar boots that are three times as expensive. I also really like the light color of these boots because they go with a lot of different outfits and occasions. You can dress them up or down very easily. Beware that these boots do run a little large so I'd recommend buying them 1/2 size smaller just to be safe. Also, if you live in a rainy climate, you may want to look at a different material because these are suede which do not like contact with water. Overall, I'd recommend these boots because of looks and comfort. At this price point, these boots are hard to beat.

I bought these chukkas on the recommendation of a men's fashion forum. At first I was pleased - the color was good, and the leather quality seemed acceptable for the price. They were comfortable (I have large feet so the overlarge size wasn't an issue).About a week later, the SQUEAKING started. Good gravy these things squeak and squeak and squeak. Turns out you can't fix this without extensive cobbler work so I just rolled with it for a while. It was definitely loud enough to annoy others at the office but I was determined to get my money's worth. It never stopped. Four months later, the sole wore through to the rubber on the inside. I really can't believe this company sells leather boots that wear out that quickly. You may think these boots are inexpensive, but ... Spend a few extra dollars and get a pair of boots that are well made and will last. These things are disposable. I will never buy a Clarks shoe again.
So, my review is not of the shoe but rather the experience. I ordered a pair of these boots as I've wanted them for a while. What I was sent unfortunately was not a new pair but a used pair. The box was a bit damaged but when I opened up the box I was shocked at what I saw. The boots were scuffed up very badly. More than someone trying them on and wearing for a day, these were so scuffed up that this was more like a few months worth of wear before returning. The soles were in good shape but the leather was so damaged I was surprised they would even try to resell these.I took the boots to a local store to return them and the girl that helped me just shook her head in disbelief upon seeing the condition of the shoes. I wish I had taken pictures. Luckily for me, they had my size in the store so they exchanged them for a new pair.As for the new pair, they are just what I was looking for in a Chukka. Comfortable out of the box but will get better once broken in a bit. Just wish DSW had better quality control on their online orders. The original pair I received were clearly used and never should have been resold as a new pair.
So first thing's first, these shoes are not blue. The picture definitely is of a nearly electric blue shoe, but they are decidedly light grey. I consider that a plus, because it meant I didn't have to go hunting down a blue shirt in order to wear these like I thought I would. :)The shoes look sharp, especially that interesting woven-like pattern towards the back. However I found that wearing them was not as pleasant of an experience as looking at them. I'm not sure if these shoes run a little bit bigger than their advertised size, but my 9.5 foot had way too much room in these 9.5 shoes. I even wore thick cotton socks and my foot couldn't help but slide around. What also made me sad is that the leather is also particularly thin, plus the laces are very few. Add ... Add to all of that that the sole of the shoe is nearly completely flat, and this just was an uncomfortable experience. I was really looking forward to having such a stylish pair of shoes, but I couldn't deal with all the negatives.
I ordered this in a men's 7 for myself, a size 8.5 female. Clark's normally run a little big for me, so the 7 fits great with some socks. I love how versatile this shoe is! I was initially worried they would look too masculine, but they work so well with a pair of jeans and a feminine top or blazer. The knit-like texture on the side is beautiful--these are the little details I love about Clarks! I also really like the dark alternate laces that come with the shoe. The quality, as always, is great. The color is a bit lighter than I was expecting from the photo online, but I actually love the light grey color. These are a really great pair of year-round boots!
Ordered a pair online in Taupe and what I received were noticeably darker in color and the material a lot courser and less “soft” than I expected them to be from the pics online (even after zooming in). Worse, the minute I stepped into them, I could tell they were going to be uncomfortable (and I'm not super picky/sensitive when it comes to comfort in such shoes). They had virtually zero cushioning or arch support inside. I walked across the hardwood floors in my house and that only confirmed my initial thought. I was also not a fan of the lack of forefoot & ankle support. That is a result of having only 2 sets of eyelets on each shoe. Not necessarily a flaw but a matter of preference. I expected much more from these Clarks because Clarks has never disappointed ... This shoe is very different and unique. If you are looking for a standard boot with a little extra flair I would highly recommend it. I gave these to my fiance as a gift and he is in love with the fit and comfort. They do run a little bigger in comparison to other shoes so I would potentially do a half to full size smaller than your regular boot fit. The exterior color can be described as a light gray with a hint of colored blue that looks amazing with jeans or under dress pants. These can look like a boot or cover the top to make them look more like a dress shoe. The suede texture gives it an extra dressed up vibe when put on. The interior is the best part since Clarks is well known for comfort and this shoe is no exception. It has the same sole inserts and is ... MoreThis shoe is very different and unique. I am female. because I have a wide foot, I do better with men's bushacre boots; have learned that size 7.5 in men's fits women's size 9 - 9.5W. was taken by the unisex, almost feminine appearance of these suede boots. they are a light blue-grey color. the leather around ankle up to where laces start has a waffleweave appearance. they are the right fit, but have an initial too-tight feeling across the instep that takes some breaking in. after a week of wear, they are now comfortable.these are the first clark boots I have had with this rubbery 'grip' sole. when standing on a hard flat surface (like a linoleum floor) I go to turn but these boots DON'T turn. this throws me off balance, and feels almost as if the upper could tear away from this gripping sole (it ... I am finding that these are best for outdoor activities like mowing and 'tromping thru the bush'. because the soles are sooo sticky, I am thinking they will do well on ice maybe? will test that out very carefully.for everyday-everywhere indoor-outdoor use, I will be going back to the classic smooth sole, hopefully with a fresh feminine-appearing upper like these.
