I am a first time Wallabee wearer, and I have to say that for the first three weeks I was loving them. I received compliments and they were extremely comfortable, as advertised. However, after those three weeks, the sole of the left shoe slowly started to peel up. I have been wearing Clark Wallabees for almost 50 years. I find them to be comfortable and quiet. I don't like that they get dingy too fast. I am hoping that this water resistant model keeps looking good for longer.

Ordered Beeswax Wallabees. Lost in trsnsit but they gave me 25% off second order attempt. They arrived fine but leather nothing like my past three pair. Lighter in color and slight suede looking finish. Returned them and bought the lower end version at Clarks outlet. At least the color looked the same. The lighter pair in photo were supposed to be the original beeswax design.

I’ve owned many Clarks in years past. These are not the same and fit differently not to mention the “Maple” has gotten greener which is not attractive to me. Historically Clarks run small so I’ve always worn a 12. It was a shock to find the fit not only different but now they run bigger. Way too big for even a normal 12 which I find odd. Also I believe quality boots come with an exchangeable insole or a nice leather sole that can be broken in like a Redwing. These came with a heel cup that is glued in and feels like an after thought. Really sad actually, I’ve always loved Clarks and now I won’t be buying them anymore. So many companies have made Wallabee knockoffs, it’s ironic that Clarks now makes knockoffs of their “Originals”
I have owned a pair of desert boots for almost 10 years., so I was familiar with the quality of Clark’s Originals products. For a long time I thought the Wallabee was charming but bordering on odd/ugly. I am so glad I finally bought a pair. I have worn them while on holiday for the past week, and they have been extremely comfortable for walking 20K steps per day in London. I love the look, too, especially the cola suede which seems to be very good quality. I’ll be adding more Wallabees to my closet in the future.
My first Wallabee purchase was in 1974, since then I always have several pairs on the go. Originally they were made in Ireland, but with moving to lower cost suppliers quality has suffered. The laces used to outlast the shoe while still looking brand new - I think they were nylon or similar. Now laces last some months. The inside of the tongue used to be finished leather, I think double layer. The final thing has been the loss of the full insole. The previous insole was a good quality comfortable insole, whereas we now have a molded heel & instep ½ length glued in poor substitute. This is a particular issue if you wear orthotics. The Wallabee boots fit differently at the ankle from the shoes, so are not a substitute for shoe aficionados. This is the second time I’m buying this shoes and I’m experiencing the same problem.On the first pair, the suede broke around the sole.And on the second one, which I own now, it became loose.Plus, the sole loses colour and it becomes yellow.Well… I’m done with Clarks.I must say, the prices are way too high for the quality you’re getting.
Unfortunately, the shoes run very big and there's no effort on Clark's part to warn you of that. So after receiving them and wearing them out the first day, I had bleeding blisters 300 metres into the walk, and after some research I discovered people routinely order a full or half size down, so no matter what the shoes weren't going to work for me.I had worn them out, rendering them ineligible for return, and now I was out $250 for ordering my shoes in the correct size. I can't help but feel a bit cheated and frustrated, as I refuse to believe Clarks doesn't know this and could easily add some warning for customers.
Not only do Wallabees look like the perfect blend between Japanese and British styling, they are the most comfortable pair of new shoes I’ve ever owned. The maple tone also goes with everything yet stands out from the crowd. The cool classic in a post sneaker world.

This crepe sole in the new products has been garbage from day one. I’ve had Clark’s Wallabee’s that lasted as an everyday shoe for five plus years. I’ve went through 10 pairs in that amount of time. Still comfortable, but overall quality is trash. The sole is a composite of at least two layers of the crepe sole, but there is a third, hidden, inner plastic or rubber sole core concealed by the crepe outer layer. The sole blows apart in six months. Buy a different shoe for half as much that will last twice as long. Wallabees are garbage, better off ... MoreClark executives, stop! And listen.
