Clif Bars have been around forever, and it's easy to see why - these are a go-to snack for athletes, students, and anyone seeking a quick, convenient breakfast or a mid-day pick-me-up. Made with organic rolled oats and real peanut butter and chocolate chips, this is a great-tasting snack that reminds me of a healthier version of a peanut-butter chocolate chip cookie with a hint of banana (perhaps Elvis would have liked this) - it's soft and chewy! Unfortunately, the nutrition facts on this bar are little better than a well-made cookie: the second ingredient on the ingredients list is organic brown rice syrup, and there are 14 grams of added sugar in this bar! While the brand touts that this is a good source of protein, there are only 10 grams, so this definitely doesn't qualify as a protein bar, especially when compared to the calorie count of 260 calories per 1 68-gram bar. I do like how there are 5 grams of fiber, although it comes from chicory fiber, which can upset some peoples' stomachs. It's not the most filling snack out there, but would pair nicely with some healthy fats to make it more satiating, as well as additional protein in the form of yogurt or another protein source. I can generally get a 12-pack for around $15 on Amazon, which is pretty affordable as far as energy bars go, and they'll occasionally go on sale at my local Costco for around $1 a bar! Overall, this definitely isn't a protein bar, nor is it that "healthy" of an option, but I think that this is a great energy-packed snack that's great for an on-the-go sort of meal, and it's one of the few bars out there that's still relatively cheap - this is one of the best Clif Bar flavors, and I'll continue to buy it for a convenient snack!

I am a big fan of Cliff Bars for an on the go answer to healthy nutrition if you can’t get in a “real” sit down meal. The flavors are great and the textures of the food feel great in the mouth. Really enjoy this. I do wish they were a little cheaper so I could get them more often. I understand having to clear margins, so I usually only get these when I have a little extra cash. They are a nice treat for me.

All flavours of Clif Bars are all around amazing, with enough variety between flavours to keep you interested. They're not too dry so that you feel the need for fluids with them, though I would recommend doing so if you leave less than 15 minutes between eating the bar and your workout/race. They're a great source of energy (especially the caffeinated mint flavour) and quite filling. Great price right now at The Feed ($ 0.99 per bar!)

I have bought these from a health shop and really enjoyed hem so jumped at the chance to buy some in bulk. However these do not taste the same as the ones I bought even though they were the same flavour. I don't know what the reason could be, different batch different taste maybe? 3 stars because they were still nice to eat just not as nice as the previous ones unfortunately

I'm not sure whether these are meant for during exercise
26 February 2024

I'm not sure whether these are meant for during exercise but I use them as fuel instead of gels on long runs. Got me round my marathon too. They're big so I break them up and eat bit by bit across several miles. Much better taste than most gels and blocks out there! I'd happily eat one as a snack if I didn't have any chocolate in my cupboard. Not particularly cheap, but don't think they're more expensive than other options either.

If you haven’t tried Clif Bar in a while try them again
4 October 2023

I used to eat Clif bars back in the day (early 2010s) as a main cycling nutrition. They were good but sometimes a chore to eat, especially when tired.I started back up with them at the start of pandemic and they have drastically improved. Softer texture, more consistent bites are the main improvements.I particularly like the Mint Chocolate with caffeine and the blueberry almond. I’ve mainly switched to running now and these are really good for pre-run breakfast or just changing it up from gels and waffles.

Simple, tasty fuel
30 December 2023

Clif bar has really come around. They no longer taste like the hard blocks that I remember from my past. Now filled with organic, clean ingredients and plenty of carbs (and a little protein) to enjoy pre workout or exercise if I don’t feel like eating a meal. They’re great on the go - energy in a small package and tasty to boot!Peanut butter is my favorite flavor but I’ll take just about any of them.

These bars are incredible. I shared these with a couple of people and they all loved them - all minus one bought their own after! Honestly, these bars are game changers and I can't wait to try the other flavours. I wish the cost was cheaper as I would buy them more often, however, I will continue to buy every couple of months.

Was not good
25 October 2023

I have had this Clif Bar variety in recent years and it was quite good. I bought a handful of them from The Feed this year and I have to say, this product from Clif Bar supports my feeling that Clif has declined significantly in quality over the past few years. When I opened the first one, I was taken aback at the bar presenting as just a plain burnt orange blob of processed oats. I remember this bar having an icing on it in the past so I thought maybe I just received a one-off bad-product bar. Well, turned out that every bar I received was the same bland experience. I'm disappointed that a Clif Bar that I used to look forward to each fall is now not even worth giving a second thought.

I have been a lifelong fan of clif bars for the extended energy they provide via healthy carbs and protein. They are great to throw in my backpack for a pick-me-up snack at work or to have right after a good run. I will not buy them anywhere except the Feed because their prices and quality is unbeatable! If you're looking for good-for-you, hearty, affordable protein bars--Clif bars at The Feed are your solution!
