So I have hormonal acne and really started having bad breakouts the last 7 months and this is one of the only things that have helped me keep it under control. I've been using this product for a month now. It can dry you out if used more than once a day at first so definitely get a good hydrating moisturizer! I was using it twice a day then started to only use it once and the dry spots stopped. It really just depends on what you’re pairing it with, how often you use it, OR your skin type if this becomes drying.

Found this by accident, read the awesome reviews, got it the next day. I have used it for 3 days twice a day and I’ve already noticed this glow in my skin, very soft and hydrated. My skin is porcelain, very sensitive and very dry with normal hormone bumps, which btw are clearing up. My concerns are lines on my forehead and some dark spots I hate. I will update this after I'm done with the bottle and see how it helps my lines pores and dark spots but so far I'm happy with the hydration and glow! It's definitely worth giving a try

I bought this to use in the winter as it helps to get rid of dry flaky skin. If you experience this like I do, you know it feels like a never ending battle lol. The clarifying lotion isn't really a lotion. It's more like a toner that you have apply on your skin with cotton pads. does the job to get rid of dry skin but what I wish I would have known is to not use it in the eye area or areas where your skin is more delicate. I found it over dryed the skin around my eyes so it felt like it was burning and made the skin extremely flaky. I had a ton of skin constantly flaking off for months. I had to heavily moisturize my eye area for many months. This happened only after a couple of uses so it is very strong.

Absolutely transformed my acne prone skin

I've struggled with minor acne on my t-zone (especially my chin/nose area) for the majority of my teens, i felt like i tried everything! I somehow stumbled across this and hesitated buying this and the other steps due to the price but omg its worth it. I felt like my skin changed overnight. Within a couple days i could see my spots disappearing and i was stunned. Even those stubborn spots that would just constantly be there. The smell is slightly off putting at first but you get used to it. Also mine did seem to run out quickly compared to the foaming cleanser and the CliniqueID moisturiser (I got the blue gel and red cartridge). Best acne toner!

This toner is nice. It does help with breakouts. It did n't irritate my skin either or leave it feeling stripped. For some drier skins it might cause some minor irritation, but like with all BHA or acne products skin just has to be become acclimated to it. What surprised me was how soothing it actually was for an acne toner or exfoliating product especially having 1.5% salicylic acid. The powders at the bottom that settle sometimes are a little hard to blend with the rest, you just have to shake it well. As someone who has used many many acne products, I would highly recommend this exfoliator to use after cleansing.

It's a miracle!

I tried over-the-counter cleansers with salicylic acid before, but they weren't strong enough to make much difference, and over-the-counter retinol was much too strong for my skin. So I switched to Clinique's Acne Solutions soap, and it cleared up my face but couldn't eliminate a dozen cysts under my chin that were caused by wearing a face mask. So I added this lotion to my cleansing routine, and in less than a week, almost all the cysts have vanished with no irritation, itching, or flaking. Not my fave. Did more harm than heal.

Super drying. Not ideal for combination skin. I wouldn’t even recommend this for super oily either. You need natural oils to some degree. After using this I noticed many fine lines appear on my face. Smells super strong like rubbing alcohol. Basically strips your skin of all natural/necessary oils. On days I wear makeup, I will use this to double cleanse and ensure everything is off- otherwise, this product unfortunately didn’t live up to it’s hype for me.

Staple in My Acne Routine

I LOVE this product. I've now ordered my 3rd bottle and will continue to use it forever. When I first ordered I saw huge results and felt like my skin had never been more clear. Alot of those stubborn whiteheads I was dealing with began improving and I finally felt like I found a product that actually did something for my acne. Now months later I've found the results aren't as drastic (products can only do so much) but I continue to use it to maintain my skin. I find it's especially useful if I've popped a zit and wipe with this toner after to keep it from reappearing. They almost never come back when I use this and a good zit cream! Overall very good product that I would recommend to anyone struggling with acne!

Wish it was available in bigger size!

I have used all the clarifying lotions. This one is now my favorite because it lists the salicylic acid percentage. You shake it and I apply w a nice cotton square, it is so refreshing and never over drying. I am 41 and do not have severe veritable acne, but do have large clogged pores/some stubborn small blackheads and want to prevent aging. I was using the 3 step for type 3 combo oily skin. But I wanted to up my exfoliation game with products that have listed % of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is so good for not only acne but pores and a myriad of other concerns. So I substituted and now use (2/day) the acne soap bar and acne clarifying lotion (and DDM gel and/or moisture surge 72 hour). I'm just going to copy my review bc it applies to both acne products. This routine is AMAZING. Stubborn blackheads imbedded on my nostril/nose crease area that seemed to be there for years were GONE after a little over a week. Also, please note this: when you add an exfoliating acid on the regular to your routine, it is very common that you may "purge" slightly in the first couple weeks. For me, this meant small blackheads coming up through my nose pores. They came up and out without picking at them SO quick and easy (try using the cleansing balm to get em out!). Also, on my lower chin area which was in the past the only place I'd get actual whitehead pimples, some tiny whiteheads popped up and were gone in a couple days. You can tell if it's purging if it happens in places you'd normally get a breakout, it's only small whiteheads or blackheads, and if they are totally non-irritated with no inflammation or redness. It's very easy to tell the difference. Don't pick them, they'll be gone soon without scarring (wear spf!) and soon you'll hopefully have perfect smooth skin as happened to me. What is so great about this acne line is that you really can use daily 2/day without drying or irritating your skin! And of course you'll be less oily. Other ingredients also amazing!
