I have really oily skin and this moisturizing gel works for me. I was hesitant to try Clinique moisturizer again after having a horrible experience with the original lotion a few years ago (I broke out so badly I actually have a few small scars and bumps to this day). But this is very different from the lotion IMO. The gel texture is light and refreshing and doesn’t exacerbate my oily skin; also totally unscented. It’s not mattifying exactly but it doesn’t make extra shine. When I wake up my skin looks and feels soft, not super greasy like most night creams I have tried. I use the Sephora mattifying moisturizer on my face during the day and use this gel on my neck and the two small dry patches I have on my chin. So far this routine is working well for me and I’m ... I have combination skin, oily but dry and flakey at the same time if I don't use moisturizer morning and night. I was using cerave before this and didn't realize it was clogging my pores so much until I switched to this. Not to mention the cerave was extremely thick and didn't absorb nearly as well. This moisturizer is awesome because I haven't gotten a single pimple since I started using it a couple of months ago, whereas I was getting 1 or 2 every week prior. This is more effective in making my skin less dry too! I constantly had flakey skin and could rarely wear makeup because it looked so cakey and dry before buying this. I would 1000% recommend this if you are worried about breakouts but also need hydration!! GREAT PRODUCT

I tried this as part of Clinique iD and have been using it over the past week. Cliniques skin recommendation tool recommended it to me repeatedly. For some background, I havent used Clinique skincare products since I was a teenager. I have sporadically used the makeup. I was really intrigued to try this, particularly because of the lightweight feeling promised and the antipollution effects. I am in my early 30s, with combination skin. I get some hormonal breakouts from time to time. I get dry patches around my eyes if Im not moisturising properly.Unfortunately, this hasnt had the effect Id hoped for. It goes on very easily, but once applied, it just seems to sit on my skin as a kind of tacky, sticky residue. I really dont like products that feel this way it seems to ... I really dont like products that feel this way it seems to tighten my skin and I have to apply another moisturiser for my skin to feel soft and hydrated againNow, in the interest of fairness, Ive used this for a week as directed. I have tried using a smaller amount, and a larger amount, but there isnt a difference in the way it feels. I have given it hours to sink in without applying any other products to my face. I dont think I can realistically keep using this product with any benefit to my skin, so I am going to return it.It seems from the reviews, that people either seem to love this or hate it. I would say that before you spend your money on a large version of this, try to get a sample from your Clinique counter, or opt for a smaller bottle. Make sure it works for your skin before paying a lot for it you might love it But you might be like me and find it leaves your face feeling stickyIt did not seem to break me out or cause skin irritation, so its not thoroughly negative, but its not benefiting me either. Im now going to try my old teenage favourite Dramatically Different gel moisturiser and see if that works for me.

This is my holy grail moisturizer. This size specifically. $17 for 50 mL is a FANTASTIC deal at this quality, especially since every other gel cream at sephora sells a 50 mL product at $30-50 on average and in those unsanitary tub/jar containers. I love the squeeze tube and I love that it’s clear. I adore the thick consistency of this moisturizer and how my oily-combo skin feels hydrated and not greasy. I feel moisture when I use this, not just a cream sitting on top of my skin. I have tried plenty of gels and gel creams and this is my favorite so far. The best deal you will get and great for oily/combo skin types. Will leave you dewy and glowing without grease and sheen. My only issue with is is how fast it goes. For me this lasted a little less than 1.5 months. But I do squeeze a LOT out each night so I guess it depends how much you use. I recently purchased the value size of this same moisturizer but I like the tube one better than the pump, and I love how thick it comes out in this tube. I hope they never change this version.
Ok, I have been using this product for over a year now. I have oily/oily combination skin, and this product helps get rid of the excess oil on my face while also hydrating my skin, leaving me feeling refreshed and my skin feeling soft. It glides on so easily, absorbs into my skin so quickly and a little goes a long way. Doesn't weigh me down, doesn't feel thick on my face, doesn't make my face feel sticky, doesn't leave my face looking shiny, and while it dries down the oil on my face it's never left my face feeling tight or dry. I buy the smallest packaging and it lasts me for several months. Really, really worth it for people with oily skin. I buy the smallest packaging and it lasts me for several months. Really, really worth it for people with oily skin. Only note: after using this for a year I decided to add D1fferin (the actual word is flagged for some reason, don't know why, sorry!) gel to my routine because I was still having problems with acne (to be clear, this product never was the reason for any breakouts). The combination of the D1fferin gel and this moisturizer left a chemical burn around my mouth and on my cheeks, making my skin peel and burn constantly. It also made my skin extremely tight so that I couldn't move my mouth. I had never had problems like this with D1fferin when I used it prior to using this product as well, so be careful if you're using D1fferin or medicated acne treatments, as they might not mix well. Otherwise, I'll be using this product till I die
I bought a small bottle of this moisturizer off of Amazon to try in 2020/2021, and I LOVED it. I've used it every day, every night, through every season. It fully absorbs in just 1-2 minutes, makes my skin feel hydrated, has a light consistency with great spreadability. I also struggle with acne, and this moisturizer didn't make me break out. It's now 2022 and I've gone through two 125ml bottles. However, here's why its 4 stars for me and not 5: 1. The bottle design. When I start to run low, I can see in the bottle that there's a decent bit of product left in there but it's not enough for the pump to pick it up so I have to strategically shake the bottle and use my fingers to try and get any product left over but it's so difficult. 2. It's not moisturizing enough for the winter, my cheeks would get really dry and this moisturizer did nothing for it (makes sense bc this moisturizer is for oily-oily combo skin). 3. The price. I've determined to find an alternative for this moisturizer that doesn't cost as much. I've bought two Korean moisturizers in hopes of finding one similar to Clinique in consistency and absorption time, but Clinique continues to reign supreme. The two Korean moisturizers I bought were the Purito Deep Sea Pure Water Cream and Cera-Heart My Type Duo Cream by Axis-Y, and both of those don't absorb into my skin as quickly as Clinique does, and they leave my skin feeling a little tacky for awhile before they actually absorb. But that doesn't mean I'll stop looking for an alternative to Clinique. Until I actually do find one, I'll keep coming back to Clinique for a moisturizer every single time. Overall, I still really like this moisturizer and I highly recommend it to anyone with oily to oily combination skin.
I love the value size and product per dollar ratio of the 6.7 oz bottle, but I HATE the pump. The actual hole the product comes out of is way too small and so close to the lid, it never squirts out cleanly. I also find myself having to use 6 or 7 pumps per application on my face because barely anything comes out of this tiny little hole. I’ve bought this moisturizer before and I find that the consistency is more liquidy in this version then in the smaller tube, which I preferred. It’s a great moisturizer and one of the few that really hydrates my oily skin without being super greasy. I prefer the thickness and packaging of the smaller bottles, but the value for the biggest size and the quality of the moisturizer can’t be beat. This is my favorite gel-moisturizer at ... If clinique just gave this moisturizer a bit of a longer/bigger pump I would give this 5 stars since all my grievances with it would be fixed.
Believe me when I say it pains me to have to write this, as this was my favorite moisturizer for over 4 years! It was light, it felt like it was quenching my skins; thirst, I even liked its fragrance (reminded me a little of rosewater!) despite no fragrance added to the product. I was using this day and night, and all was well until early this year... Starting with my forehead and then spreading to cheeks I began to notice a rash and flakiness that I've never seen before. At first it was mild and I wondered if a food or drink allergy, but over the months it just got worse and worse. Changed my diet, changed my skincare routine, detergent, changed everything apart from Clinique DDMG until one day (2 weeks back) I decided to use a sample of an organic moisturizer a ... Changed my diet, changed my skincare routine, detergent, changed everything apart from Clinique DDMG until one day (2 weeks back) I decided to use a sample of an organic moisturizer a friend had given me and give DDMG a rest for a few days. Lo and behold not immediately but over the course of 10 days or so my skin very slowly calmed down, the bumps, the redness, the flakes until now it is almost 80% cleared and getting better everyday. The only thing that has changed in all this period is not using DDMG. My guess is that the 'Dimethicone' ingredient (2nd on ingredients list!) which is a silicone had over the years started to build up in my skin until it had reached saturation point. Tbh I feel more annoyed with myself than the product for not realizing until now what was even in its ingredients list! Talk about a 'blind purchase' lol. Summary: For oily skin folks don't expect oil control because it doesn't do that. It lightly moisturizes anything from normal to oily skin types, but not if overly dehydrated. If you do use this, don't plan on using it for many years because depending upon your skins ability to tolerate silicones, eventually at some point this product may turn from friend to foe! -> My 'Ulta Beauty Top 7 must-have list' (My 7 favorite beauty products of all time, focusing mainly on my purchases at Ulta) < - < 1.
