I was using IT Bye Bye Foundation for several years. Mainly because it was a good color match and it has SPF 50. The good SPF that dermatologists recommend here in Skin Cancer city, AZ (Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide). Problem is that it's heavy and accentuates my lines. In searching for something new, I came across Clinique's Tinted Moisturizer. While I wish it had a higher SPF, I was happy to find that Very Light was a great match. Problem is that it pills so much! I expected more from Clinique. So the search continues. I hope that this product can be tweaked so that it can be applied smoothly with no clumps. More SPF would be a plus too!

So I never write reviews, however I find this product so poor I had to share.I am a make up and product addict, lately I’ve been making the most of my natural skin and wanting a more lightweight look. I was browsing for a hydrating / day cream when I came across this product and loved the idea of something to hydrate and give me slight coverage on my skin. I was so excited to try this. Clinique is a high end brand so I guessed I couldn’t really go wrong with this product.I was so wrong … it’s so heavy on the skin, it clings to certain areas leaving a heavy make up cakey look but without the coverage to even justify it ! It feels so sticky ALL day. Overall for the look itself it is awful ! It feels like a low end brand and what I’d expect if I were paying around ... MoreSo I never write reviews, however I find this product so poor I had to share.I am a make up and product addict, lately I’ve been making the most of my natural skin and wanting a more lightweight look. I used to use a now discontinued Clinique tinted moisturizer (City Block Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15?) years ago and loved it and I was looking forward to trying this one. Unfortunately, it didn't provide any moisturizing at all and felt dry on my skin even after applying it again with a separate moisturizer. I guess that's what happens when a product is recommended for very dry to oily skin. It seems to me that there should be different formulations for very dry skin and for oily skin and every skin type in between. Also, I ordered the second lightest shade (which is something I have always done with foundations) but this one was too dark and gave an orange tint that looked like a bad spray tan. I will be returning the product. I really like this tinted moisturiser. I have fair skin and the universal light shade was perfect for me.As I don't really have spots or imperfections this gives me a nice glow and light coverage which is just what I like. I don't like wearing foundation because you can see it on the skin as well as creases. The consistency is a bit sticky though so I mix it with a little bit of day moisturiser which makes it better. I have also noticed that my T-zone is less shiny after a few hours comparing to other tinted moisturisers. I will buy this product again.
I was looking for a tinted moisturiser and the chat member of staff advised me to get this product. I didn't like it at all unfortunately. It has a strong chemical smell and actually felt drying rather than hydrating. I couldn't wait to take it off my face. I've used the Even Better foundation and the City Block spf25 for years but have noticed the last few products I've bought from Clinique including this one have this strong chemical smell that I can't tolerate, it's a headache/migraine trigger type smell and smells toxic. Overall, not recommended. Clinique, please design a tinted moisturiser that doesn't have a chemical smell, thank you.
**Before I give my review, I must disclose that I put this on and immediately had to take it off because my face got irritated and broke out into a rash/allergic reaction, which is unusual for me with ANY Clinique products.**Review: This small tube of cream was incredibly thick and had a very strong chemical sunscreen smell. It clung to every single dry patch on my face, so the things I was trying to help camouflage by using it, it just made look worse. It definitely didn't feel like a sheer coverage. It also was super difficult to remove, requiring a double cleanse of take the day off balm, then follow up with my foaming cream cleanser to completely take it off. For some people, it may be fantastic! I just seem to not be one of those people.Thankfully, customer ... More**Before I give my review, I must disclose that I put this on and immediately had to take it off because my face got irritated and broke out into a rash/allergic reaction, which is unusual for me with ANY Clinique products.**Review: This small tube of cream was incredibly thick and had a very strong chemical sunscreen smell. I only wear skin tints. Tried others, BB creams and medium coverage. Some are ok. But overall more than what I like on my skin. I like a natural look and feel. The only reason I purchased this because was on sale. I apply minimal with fingers. It’s ok. Not my favorite. I feel it’s heavier than my favorite skin tints. Saie is my go to. This sheer tint is buildable. But I would not build it. It looks awful and caked on. Sits on top of skin and heavy feeling. I certainly don’t build it. Applying just a little, it’s ok. More coverage than a tint for sure. It’s dewy like my skin tints. I do need to apply setting powder mid day. My Tzone gets shiny. Always does with tinted moisturizers. I don’t love this. I prefer just a tint. This is more coverage than I’m accustomed to.
I bought this thinking it was the CC cream but I'm very happy with this sheer natural tinted moisturizer. I'm moderately fair but I bought the medium shade which is good for my summer tan. I read some of the reviews which mentioned pilling, but I haven't found that to be the case. I use smart spf 15 moisturizer first, then apply this product. I use All About Clean 2-in-1 Cleansing and Exfoliating Jelly everyday for my face. Maybe that's why some people have had problems with pilling? Don't know, but I definitely need to exfoliate everyday. Love this sheer tint moisturizer and finish it off with matte powder as it's quite dewy.
I've been loving this product, the coverage is just enough to even out my skin tone, and the consistency is so smooth and creamy. It feels beautiful on the skin when applying and really helps disguise the pores on my cheeks, nose, and forehead. It is a thick product but has never felt/looked heavy or greasy on my skin, which tends to be oily. The spf 25 makes it perfect for reapplication over my daily sunscreen on cloudy days when I'm mostly indoors, and on sunny days when I need to reapply my higher spf product throughout the day it goes over top this without issue. It would be a 5 star product if not for the shade range. I'm white but my skin is not incredibly pale and I wear the lightest shade of this product, so I imagine if you have very pale or very deep skin ... MoreI've been loving this product, the coverage is just enough to even out my skin tone, and the consistency is so smooth and creamy. I have only ever used Lancome (my daughter worked for them), Clarins or Clinique. Recently, I required some new foundation, and this was demonstrated to me. I had brought a sample of a BB cream with me, as a colour match, and the Clinique Representative, very kindly spent some time with me to obtain the right skin tone. She then applied the make-up, and I was impressed with the coverage, which was better than a standard tinted moisturiser/BB/CC cream. I also purchased the setting powder. The foundation was easy to apply, with my brush, and went on without streaks or patches. I was delighted with the results, and although I had decided to use it only at weekends, I've put it on for work this morning, and it looks great.
