Also, using too much of this primer can also cause it to feel heavy. It’s also not ridiculously priced. Clinique is one of my favorite brands because they are in a realm of affordability and still consistently amazing products. If you struggle with redness and want a more skincare-esque primer, then I would check this out. Update: one thing I noticed after using this as a primer for awhile is that it has the potential to pill up depending on what skincare/SPF under it. If I use too much of any skincare/SPF it pills up. I know it’s this product because it’s pilling up green. Generally, though, I have successfully used this and can see an immediate reduction in redness when I apply.

Calming and thick like a primer

I like this product for my red cheeks (especially in the cold), but I don't see any noticeable redness reduction. It does create a nice base for my liquid makeup, which helps hide that redness, so does work, I guess. My ultra-sensitive skin is not irritated and that's a big plus. It does not give me breakouts as it is not oily. Possibly, the thickness makes some people break out. Highly recommend it as one part of your routine and not for miracles.

Leaving A Trail of Crumbs

Never thought I'd write a bad review about Clinique but here I am. Was hoping this product would neutralize the redness under my foundation. Trying to blend it onto my face is a disaster. It doesn't absorb, it just sits like paste. It doesn't dab, you must wipe your fingers across the area you're covering. But it leaves these little crumbs of green clay-like particles. By the time you finish getting the crumbs off, you've basically wiped the product off. And your makeup looks very very matte.

Made my husband's ruddy cheeks SO much worse!

So many good reviews, and very few low reviews, so I thought this product would be THE one to finally help my husband's ruddy red cheeks...but after trying this product as a last resort, he will HAVE to go the prescription route now.He's on his second day of using both cleanser and Daily Relief cream and just came to me and showed me how much worse the redness is.He went from a light ruddiness to a DEEP maroon red in the 2 days using this product.There's no itching/burning, but there is a white residue on his cheeks from this cream.He used it very sparingly, so I suppose it COULD be just dry skin, which he didn't have before using!All in all, the wash & cream did nothing to alleviate the redness, but made it noticeably worse!.

Redness Reactive/Hyper Sensitive skin

I'm using Redness Solution Cleanser and Moisturiser because a dermatologist said I have to use "Oil Free Products" using it for a number of yrs now and I have found it excellent for my skin type. I would react to most of skin creams on the market cause of my reactive sensitivity to everything and yes its a nightmare trying to find out what suits me best trial and error and alot of expense lol. Don't get me started on makeup . Im 56 and going through changes lol with hormonal and medication also causing an issue lol. Scared to order more!

I have been using this product for years...then it changed for a while. It honestly felt like it was dramatically different moisturizing lotion with a ton of blue coloring added to it. It was thin and VERY irritating on my sensitive skin. I typically purchase multiple jars at a time and ran into about 4 containers like that. The one I am currently using is the normal cream that I love. I am worried that I may encounter the other with a new purchase! Clinique, we count on you to offer the same products over and over. Don't replace (for a time) with an inferior product! I would rather not purchase than to use that awful stuff again!

Using this for 15 years

This moisturizer deserves a review after using it for 15 years! I started developing an eczema patch on my face at 31yrs. I found this cream and the patch disappeared within days. I have been using this cream ever since. Now that I'm in my mid-40s I use this cream in the morning and an anti-aging cream at night. As soon as I put this cream on in the morning my face instantly feels calmer and moisturized. It's baffling to me how rich and hydrating it is even though it's oil-free. I've been using the Redness Solutions foundation and have been a regular customer ever since. Thank you, Clinique!

I was very reluctant to purchase this produce given the high price, but I’m so glad I did! I’ve never called a product a “holy grail” before, but I think this warrants it. I have very dry, sensitive skin with eczema. I also suspect I have rosacea because I have redness of my cheeks with acne over it and it gets worse when I touch it, drink alcohol, etc. (although not yet diagnosed). I used this product the first evening I bought it over The Ordinary’s hyaluronic acid serum (which is a staple product for me) and when I woke up the next morning, my skin was DRASTICALLY less red and the acne on my cheeks was mostly cleared up. I’ve never used a product with such immediate results before. That being said, my skin looks so great, that I don’t feel like I need to wear makeup, other than Smashbox’s color correcting primer (the green one) that takes care of any residual redness on my cheeks and eczema break outs (or whatever is left of them after using this cream). I’ve used other redness reducing products from Leneige (Cica sleeping mask) and La Roshe-Posey (rosalaic serum) that did nothing for my redness. I’m very happy with this product and surprised because I’m not really a big fan of Clinique, but I may need to try some of their other redness reducing products after trying this one. I highly recommend for anyone with sensitive, dry, red skin.
