It manages up to 48 MIDI channels on the input and output side. Thanks to its compact size, bus-powered power supply and easy operation via the editor, the U6MIDI Pro is also ideal for on-the-go use. The interface is ideal for small and medium-sized setups where various keyboards, controllers, expanders and drum machines need to be connected via MIDI. Status LEDs on each port indicate MIDI data activity. Thanks to the Class Compliant standard, no special drivers are required for operation. All common parameters from the MIDI protocol like notes, controller, clock, SysEx, timecode and MPE are processed and transmitted. With the free available UxMIDI Tools software, channels and ports can be assigned and a number of MIDI filters can be defined. For some users this might be interesting because an additional, external MIDI filter is no longer needed.
