These batteries are game changers, individual USB C charging is one of the best ideas I have seen in a long time. No more bulky chargers or old style rechargeable AAA/AA that will not power most devices due to a lower voltage/current limitation on the old style rechargeable. As a A/V Installation Technician I have many tools with regular battery requirements. Multi-meter, network tester, cable toner, signal generator, laser level, flashlights etc...I am now saving a lot in the cost of disposables without impacting my tool use, great job Coast! and top notch customer service.

According to Coast, these batteries can be recharged up to 1,000 times so I am very impressed. This represents true cost savings when compared to buying traditional non-rechargeable batteries. I am a true believer in the performance of these Coast rechargeable batteries!

The instructions advised to charge the batteries prior to using. The charger is capable of charging 1-4 batteries at a time. I just received the Coast AA rechargeable batteries and they actually really awesome! Getting them out of the package they did have a charge but not a full charge. I charged them in about an hour. The charger comes with them and is super handy! You can use this for a MacBook or certain iPhones as well!!! It has nice little case as well. The only downfall is the charging cord is short. Other than that these are great! They are supposed to last up to 1,000 charges!!!!
I received these batteries recently and opened the package to find 4 AA batteries and the USB-C charging cable, which has 4 outputs, one for each battery. I inserted the connectors into each battery near the top of the battery. One of the four were a little snug, but went in and came back out easily afterwards. Out of the package, it took around an hour to fully charge all four. There is a red light on the top of the battery to show its charging and then green light when it is fully charged. I’ve used these batteries in a flashlight and a gaming controller and both seem to last very similar to a standard alkaline battery. Only time will tell how long they last but for now they seem to be just fine. I would recommend these to a friend.
These are a cool novelty. At first, I wasn't sure about a battery with a USB-C connection built into the side. Well, the real test is how do they perform. I placed these in a flashlight and immediately noticed the light is brighter. Naturally, I figured the batteries would drain faster but they lasted just as long if not longer. My daughter wanted to borrow them for her computer mouse. These Zithion's might be a little too expensive for a low draw tool like a remote control, mouse, and etc. I would recommend these for high lumen flashlights or anything that drains a battery fast. Regarding the charging speed, these charge very quickly. Much faster than the old nickel cadmium batteries. I highly recommend these for high performance applications
What a great concept! I love the idea of a battery that does not need a separate charging station or other device to recharge. Just plug the included C type cord into the battery itself and, then plug the USB end into any USB port to charge. It's like eliminating the middleman! You can charge all four at once or one at a time. There is a red-light indicator that glows while they are charging and changes to blue when they are ready. Simplicity in function. I love it!
I have seen similar products in the past but hadn't purchased any. Also wasn't 100% sure on the technology. So far enjoying these batteries as they come with a lifetime warranty. I would assume the warranty would just be for while the battery still charges but as with all batteries they lose capacity over time so then it would be the end of the life. Conveniently you can charge 1 or all 4 at the same time. I do like that these come in their own little case for the batteries. Wish the case would also fit the charger cable. Only downside is that the USB charger is very short so have to get close to an outlet to charge. This will save overall on the use of alkaline batteries looking forward to continued use of these.

If you have red/green color blindness you may have trouble determining when charging is complete – I had to stare at the lights to see this color difference letting me know that two batteries had completed their charge while two were still charging.After charging, the four batteries indicated between 1.58 and 1.56 volts. Letting them sit for two days the variance was 1.58 to 1.56 volts – nothing unordinary.
