I am storing this in the codenames duel box. Fun and imaginative images usually with at least 3 identifiable things. I give this 5 stars although the problem with this is that the pictures are viewed from one side. When thinking the clues but it doesn't really hurt the game too much. Personally I prefer it over the normal codenames but not too big of a difference. Get both and have fun.

Your team mates will then have to find those specific pictures, but beware! I am a board game enthusiast and we host a game night weekly. As a result we have upwards of 50 plus board games an are always looking for something new and fun to jazz up our weekly fun time with friends. We really like this game. It was a great time to play and is super simple to learn. You can explain it pretty quickly and everyone will be able to get it. We even used it as an ice breaker for my work team, and in the 15 minutes we had set aside everyone understood the game and was playing along great. (If you want to do this I suggest you set up boards at home, take a picture and project it) This was also one of the 3 games I brought home to play with the in laws for Christmas. It is fun to play all together and we have lots of fun with it, but like those games you can't play them too often. I have found that if we play any of these style of games too often you get used to how people describe things, and you remember previous clues from previous times and it takes some of the fun out of the game. Ultimately that is why I didn't give this 5 stars is because this game doesn't have longevity. We play it about once every 3 months or so it hasn't been an issue, but we definitely burned out Anomia, and Taboo so be cautious so you don't burn out this fun game!

The game play was deceptively simple and easy to learn--always a bonus--but made for a unique and challenging game each time it was played. And it was played again since everyone liked it and decided to play it again the next night instead of trying a new game. So this earns a place in our games library and a place on gift lists when looking for an affordable gift. We had family 11 years old to 70+ play it together so it appeals to a wide audience, too. I’m a Codenames fan so I decided to buy the pictures one to try it one evening with friends. We usually play the words version, but everyone was excited to try something new. I thought maybe the picture version would be better for kids, but we had a 10 year old with us and this was beyond him. The pictures are very strange, intentionally and so it made for a unique challenge for the adults accustomed to playing with words. The adults worked hard to figure out what they were looking at and how to give clues about the rather strange pictures, which made for some laughs and some bewilderment. All in all, we had fun and were split as to wether we enjoyed pictures or words better. You can quickly tell who is on the same wavelength and who is not.I've played this with several other couples to great effect. My six year old also likes to play it. She's surprisingly good at guessing, but her limited vocabulary and knowledge of some terms makes her clue giving a little simple and often misleading ("round" for example, where my wife might say a more nuanced "rotund" to distinguish between a round person and a picture of a globe). My daughter also gets a little distracted by the fun of giving clues and sometimes loses the part about only giving it for her side's spies. So it's fun to play with her for the pure joy of it and it is great for building game play logic and pattern recognition skills--but you probably need at least an 8 year old to really start making it fun AND more competitive.
