Our old battery operated salt & pepper grinders were looking their age & I was sick of having to replace the 8 AA batteries. Looking at the big selection of grinders at our Bundall QLD Kitchen Warehouse, I was attracted to the small size of the Cole & Mason Style Salt and Pepper Mill Gift Set. We had accidently knocked the old grinders over many times, due to their tall shape & so were attracted by the relatively low height of these grinders. Our new grinders look similar to our old ones, just more compact (about 6 cm shorter than our old ones). The grinders work as expected, albeit with a little more effort than the battery operated grinders. I would recommend these to anyone who just wants a basic, but good looking, set of grinders

The grinder set looks nice but it is not particularly functional. Even after loosening the knob at the top the grind of the pepper is too fine. The salt grinder works well. Purchased online and both grinders turned up only 1/3 full. Disappointed with this product

Cole and Mason Style Salt and Pepper Mills are so much better than the expensive battery operated salt and pepper mill I had. I was forever having to buy new batteries for them. I would recommend this product!And they look good too!
I was very disappointed in the small, lightweight quality of these grinders. For the retail price of $75, I had expected something much more substantial. I’m guessing that they are overpriced by the manufacturers.
This was perfect for my needs and the price was great. The store had an excellent range of salt and pepper grinders.
Not as sturdy as I would have expected. Purchased online. Disappointed with the small size as no measurements on HS website. The grinding wheels look flimsy and plastic like. The grains of salt and pepper are so small when they come out it’s hard to see them. I have to continually screw the top caps back down before each use. I don’t recommend this product.
Fed up with cheap mills we decided to go for good quality this time. And so it is proving so far. I like the idea of the infinite adjustment to the coarseness by adjusting the knob at the top. They also have a nice feel to them.
I was really disappointed with this product. While they do work I’m not sure for how long. They feel really flimsy especially when you loosen the grind to more coarse. They are small and the “partially pre-filled” that was mentioned is more like minimally pre-filled. I swapped out from my electric grinders as they were taking too many batteries but am not pleased with the change at all. If I hadn’t got them on sale and used a voucher for them I would be returning them for sure- but I needed the product quickly, bought online so wasn’t able to inspect before buying and the return process seems like too much of a hassle. If you are considering these I suggest continuing your search or heading in to check them out in person.
After several years of use, I recently replaced our Cole & Mason 7 inch Clear Pepper Mill because a part of the grinder mechanism broke. I loved it so much and have so enjoyed using it over the years, I would have paid for another one. Fortunately, I didn't have to because it came with a life time warranty by Cole & Mason! I love how this company sells quality products and stands behind them.
