I love this tent. It is really, really well designed compared to my previous tent. For a 4 person tent it is really spacious inside with lots of head room. The side pockets are really handy and breezeway that opens at the bottom is useful when it gets hot. I can hang a lamp at the top and it doesn't bump my head. It has not been tested in high wind but in medium wind it is light years ahead of the previous tent. I think it will go well with heavy pegs. The pegs are not great but they go reasonably well in hard ground. I bought some heavy duty ones from Bunnings just in case. I recommend getting the awning accessory as it makes a big difference for minimal expense. When reading the reviews of this tent try not to get confused about the comments on the 10 person tent. ... MoreI love this tent. It is really, really well designed compared to my previous tent. They do not apply to the 4 person tent. The one qualification that I have is that there is no way you will set up the tent in 3 minutes. You could get it up in about 5 minutes but putting the pegs in and making all the adjustments is going to take more like 20 to 25 minutes. Getting the fly on could be a bit tricky if you are short. But seriously, for the price it is a great tent.

Bought this tent 8 months ago, and camped in it 4 times. It's held up well in all sorts of weather, including hot, wet weather, and wild 60km/h gusty winds! It's super quick and easy to set up, as well as to pack down. It's very roomy inside, and I like that I can comfortably stand inside of it. It's equipped with many pockets, and internal hooks that enable you to hang lights/lanterns. It has 3 large windows that you can open up, ground ventilation pockets on each side of the tent, and the front door has the option of a mesh screen allowing you to still get fresh air, minus the bugs. It also has a small zip to slip an extension power cord through! The tent is super durable - nothing has snapped, worn, or broken just yet!I honestly can't fault this tent! Hands down ... MoreBought this tent 8 months ago, and camped in it 4 times. This tent is the best. I don’t write reviews for anything ever until now. Been travelling and living in it for 6 weeks now. From cbr up to qld and a lot in between. Held up against all kinds of storms. Car got bogged but the tent stayed dry. Got trace springs never even used em. Just got the larger Coleman pegs instead of ones that came with the tent. Some storm last week took all the shade awnings off all these 100 thousand dollar RVs and our little Coleman just flapping away in the whirly wind and didn’t take any damage.

Not a couple for temperate language during tent assembly & disassembly we were sorely disappointed to have to leave the swear words in the box for this one.We had pretty bad weather - gusty winds up to 100 kph. Not a problem for this tent, especially with the fly zipped down.If you’re looking for a way to improve the product - better protection from rain on the outside. After all, camping requires cooking & dining which isn’t suitable inside the tent. Also, not just Coleman but every tent maker - stop thinking you’re fooling us with your tent sizes. This is a 2 person tent.
Fantastic so far 👍 I live in it permanently and because of where I live I've set up a tarp over a frame to give me that added protection from the elements plus some more cooling. I was amazed how quick it is to erect, brilliant design. As someone who's camped in all sorts of tents you get what you pay for and this is not a tent I'd live in permanently unless you cover it like I did. I'd recommend it for a weekend or week getaway, or something you'd go traveling with for awhile. I couldn't tell you how robust it'd be in bad weather because I've covered mine but I'd take a guess to say it'd survive. Big tip: "always buy a quality seam sealant, floor sealant, and tent/tarp sealant and do everything you can. Follow the instructions in the products. I've had this tent over a year now and have used it for a collective 30 nights. I think it's a great tent.Pros:Very easy to set up. Internal frame takes only a few minutes to peg out and erect. The fly is a little harder to set for 1 person (easy for 2+) so I attached a rope to 2 corners and pull it over the frame using the rope.Waterproof and sturdy: I experienced a very windy and wet storm while camping at Moonta Bay. It handled the wild conditions without any drama.Provides a cosy environment: The floor, door and sides form a continuous seal against the wind. With the door and windows closed, there are no annoying cold drafts blowing through.Optional awning is great. The expansion awning provides a large undercover area which I used for cooking and eating out of the rain.Room to move: I bought this tent primarily because of the head space. You can stand up inside.Handy hooks and holders; Hooks for lanterns & 2 small pouches for those small items: watch, keys, wallet, phone, etc.Massive windows: 3 large windows and the door (all with insect mesh) allow you to open the tent out for great ventilation during hot weather.Compact: When folded it is quite short and fits across the back of the car.Cons:Stitching adequate but not robust. I'm careful not to overload any of the stitching around the zips and velcro tabs as they are not very strong.Tent pegs too light: Bent most of my pegs on the first day. Replaced them with beefier ones.Pack away difficult for 1 person: Getting this packed away is like wrestling an octopus inside a set of bagpipes. I found a giant rubber band which I use to keep the ends of the legs in place while I roll it up. Or use a length of rope to keep it together.Overall, despite the minor issues, I love this tent. For the price, it's a bargain. If you have a bit extra cash, the Gold Series version has better quality fittings.
My daughter bought the 10P version for herself and 3 young kids, and I bought the 8P for myself. Love the side entry with the larger awning, and good space inside. This tent doesn't have the side panels for the awning like the 10P has, which would help in rainy weather. The fly does get a lot of condensation under it, but that's common for tents with this type of fabric as opposed to canvas. Bought 8 extra larger pegs for windy conditions (or stony ground) - recommend these.Overall, happy with the tent. :)
I bought this Coleman tent for a recent trip to Fraser Island and so glad i did. It was quick and easy to setup and once it was pegged down in each corner it wasn’t going anywhere. It was quite windy while we were there and the tent was very rigid. There is plenty of ventilation to allow breeze in. On our last night we had a thunderstorm and not one drop of rain leaked in. I also purchased the Coleman ground mesh to suit this tent which is to protect the tent floor. I fully recommend paying the extra for this to stop the sand etc sticking to the underside of the tent floor. Just shake it off and it’s clean again. I also bought this from Snowys because they gave a great price and it was delivered to me in central qld within 3 days. Tent was easy to put up and take down. One of the straps to keep the outer window rolled up broke first use but doesn’t affect the function of the tent. Did well in the wind, agree with other reviews that sturdier ropes and pegs are beneficial as the ones that come with it aren’t great in wind. Not easy to fit it all back into the bag. The inner room divider would be ok if it could be removed. I found it more of a trip hazard than anything as the bottom isn’t fixed it’s just flopping around loose. For two to three people it’s a good size but pretty tight for four. Over all for the price it’s a good buy.
This is an absolutely fabulous tent. I have only out it up in the backyard but at 5 foot tall I can put this tent up by myself by putting the tarp over the inner tent at half way. Just be very careful that the fly is clear of the slide. I set this tent up with my single Coleman stretcher and gear that I would have with me. There is plenty of room. Inverting the knuckles feels weird but the design saves so much assembly time. I love that I can stand up in this tent, which will be great for weekends away. I love the heat shield that attaches, but watch out for the zip catching on the fly. Amazing tent +++
