Do not believe claim tent can hold queen air mattressI bought this tent for a camping trip scheduled for 6-13-17. The claim this tent can hold a queen air mattress is very misleading. I was only able to inflate my air mattress 2/3 of the way as the mattress extended wall to wall in the tent so at that point I could not use the inflation device any longer. Also, due to this, the vent on the lower wall of the tent was useless as the air mattress blocked the vent. Additionally, I was barely able to zip the door fully closed as the air mattress made it too tight to do so without fear of ripping the zipper. The only reason I am still giving the tent 2 stars is that in the high wind that was tearing full sized tents down, this one did not hardly budge. According to my receipt the last day to return the tent was 6-17-17, and of course I was not even home by then. If you purchase this tent do not expect it to hold an air mattress any larger than a double.

As a first time tent camper, this was perfect for me. I went camping in Northern Arizona recently with an average daytime temp of 75 and nighttime temp of about 50 or so, and I found this to be comfortable. I also purchased the 50 degree Coleman sleeping bag and slept through the night. This tent also fit my intex queen size inflatable mattress perfectly, though I would say if you wanted floor space, go with a twin size. This was also really easy to set up too!

Received the tent in a timely time. It is simple to set up. We have had lots of rain since setting it up and things stay dry inside. I got it for my daughter to sleep in. She loves to sleep out and to play in it. The grandchildren love it too. They like to play in it also. I like the way the floor wraps up the side about 6 inches to keep the wet out but I am concerned that the little ones will rip the zipper because of having to step over it. It would be tight for two adults to sleep in it but two sleeping bags can be side by side in it. It is light weight for back packing. I thought it was a little pricey but we will see how it stands up to lots of use.

Relatively easy to set up by yourself. Just got to be patient and think it through. I wish the polls were more sturdy. When it was up for just over night the polls were already bending as if they were over bent (they weren’t) but for the price of tent it was good. Definitely not for someone seriously camping but maybe just trying it out like me. Wish a footprint came with it but I bought a tarp and it was ok.
I got this tent in order to do some camping with my boys. We used it once in the backyard, then on an overnight. One of the main poles fractured at the insertion point while setting it up the second time. Dry, moderate ventilation in 40f temp. Overalll pleased but the broken pole has finished us for future adventures with this otherwise good tent.
The tent is great, great for boycotts, especially if you go camping a lot! I highly recommend this tent, just not from this dealer. The warranty, takes forever too get through with. It's been two weeks, and still awaiting a new tent. The time to get here initially took around 4 weeks, and I was not happy when it didn't arrive on the date that it said it would after waiting for a long time!
So far, so good. I’m sure what I’ve done was not what you all planned for this tent, but you might be interested. I wanted to go “boat camping” with my 16’ fishing boat. I’ve modified your tent to fit over the boat’s main cockpit area. I cut away the floor and inverted the flaps of the floor to snap to the boat’s side decks. I extended the rain fly by about 30” to extend over the boat’s windshield to divert any rain water foreword. I’ll sleep on the floor of the boat on an air mattress. It won’t be mosquito proof, but will hopefully keep the rain off, especially at night. I can send you a photo but I don’t see a way to do it with this review.
Bought this 2 person tent for camping when it's just me (2 is a stretch, even for smaller people). I normally camp in an REI Hobitat 6 that is fantastic and has served me well for many years. Compared to that tent, I have some serious problems with the design of this Coleman. First, the fiberglass poles are incredibly flimsy, as is the elastic cord. The cord broke on the first use, and one of the poles fractured. The description doesn't say what diameter the poles are, so I have to go measure to find the right replacement kit. Why not just sell replacement parts on the product page? Second, the poles go into a sort of key at the edges of the tent. But that means the tent pole are open at the ends. If you camp in sandy or soft dirt conditions, it's easy for your pole ... MoreBought this 2 person tent for camping when it's just me (2 is a stretch, even for smaller people). Second, the poles go into a sort of key at the edges of the tent. But that means the tent pole are open at the ends. If you camp in sandy or soft dirt conditions, it's easy for your pole ends to become packed with dirt, and then the key won't fit in. Annoying. My Hobitat poles are closed at the ends, made of aluminum, thick cord, and the pointed ends go into sturdy grommets. I wish the Coleman had a design like that, it is super flimsy by comparison. Lastly, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the door pole in. It seems like it should go in the green edging to make the door rigid, but there is no opening. Yet I have an extra pole. It must be the door?Other than the flimsy poles and poor design of the pole ends, I do like this tent. If I could purchase a set of replacement poles in durable aluminum with studier cords, I would pay more.
First impression, ease of setting up: Well, I got this expecting a rather… crappy tent, for lack of a better word. However when I got it home and set it up, I was SUPER impressed. This tent is amazing! Easy instructions, and set up was quick (I’m one person and was able to do it alone.) Ease of transport: This tent is very light weight, and compact. This is the kind of tent that can stay in your trunk for emergencies, or on a shelf in the closet. Personally, I’m using mine for a group camping trip in a few weeks, and this will be perfect on the bus, since it’s small and compact. I could probably comfortably put it under my seat. Space: I’m 5’2” and I was able to get in and have PLENTY of room. However, if you were using this for two people, you I’ll be a little ... MoreFirst impression, ease of setting up: Well, I got this expecting a rather… crappy tent, for lack of a better word. Personally, I move around a lot, so it would be uncomfortable for me. You can also sit up very comfortably in this tent. The very minor struggle: The rainfly was a little hard for me to understand how to set it up with the imaging provided, as I’ve never set up a tent alone, but my grandfather was able to show me that part. Once he got home. (He’s a bit picky, but LOVED this tent)
This is about the size of a queen sized bed, couple inches bigger. Nothing remarkable about this tent - no complaints, has windows, a hook for a light, pockets, vents. The top is a screened opening unless you put the dome on it. I bought it on sale to put on my queen bed because I have chronic insomnia and I sleep better in a tent or enclosed canopy bed, and this was cheaper than the marketed "bed tents". Comes in an oblong bag with handles and is assembled with the typical two rods going diagonal - easy to carry, must weigh 5 pounds or so. The top is put on with a third rod. It did have a very strong chemical smell typical of items made with these plastic/vinyl materials so I put a fan on it for a full day while assembled to get rid of it. Not sure if that smell is ... MoreThis is about the size of a queen sized bed, couple inches bigger. Not sure if that smell is the materials or the dyes or some sort of flame retardant or waterproofing treatment - it sort of reminded me of the after smell of a room I painted gray with behr zero voc paint which makes me think it might be a pigment in the dye but I have no idea. Id recommend putting a fan on it before using it - or airing it out somehow - as offgasses like that are likely bad for you (typically if you can smell chemicals of any kind, youre breathing in things you shouldn't be). If youre outside the smell probably wouldnt be as noticable, and might dissipate quicker in fresh outdoor air. This is a good, solid tent for the price I paid (on sale).
