I own three pair of these and I use them exclusively for when I travel overseas, which is often. The belt doesn't have to be removed when the TSA does their thing, and I appreciate that. They compact enough to take up little space in my luggage.They have snazzy cargo pockets that I never use, but they quickly identify me to everyone as an old guy. The fabric is tougher than it looks; don't be afraid of its thinness. As they are constructed of nylon, they are quick to dry after you've been drenched or if you have to launder them in a hotel room sink.The only real gripe that I have is the *mesh* pockets. Do NOT put car keys in those pockets! One key will invariably poke through and saw the mesh open and then you will have all your coins and stuff escaping down ... I originally these pants for my trips to central america, but they are so comfortable and durableI that I have been wearing them every day to work for at least five years and will never wear denim to work for for travel again. These are super comfortable, the fabric dries amazingly fast after getting wet, and is even wind resistent, so find them comfortable down to 50 degrees. The fabric is also extremely durable, very resistant to abrasion, almost indestructable for me. The only pants I wear now.

I have not had a chance to wear these hiking, so I can’t comment on rear pocket stitching quality. Overall, the pants are a very good fit and feel like they’ll be comfortable to hike in. These and the convertible version I also bought will be going with me to Kilimanjaro later this year. The pockets are pretty roomy and I find the lower right cargo pocket convenient to hold a bottle of water. The material is extremely light weight and the pants are very packable.

I bought the men's pants due to better pockets and features that aren't available in women's so maybe it has the feature for extra room, but it still seems weird that the gusset goes all the way down the leg. It made the bottoms of the legs too baggy, so I sewed the 2 seams close together to about 3 quarters of the way up each leg. It needs some of the room to make sitting more comfortable. Since I am using for canoeing that is a good feature. The inside of the waist band is soft like flannel and very comfortable and has a small amount of elastic, but not too much. I ordered 3 colours. Great pants. Enough room for your wallet and phone in side pockets. Good overall mobility of movement.Received a pair that seems to have been improperly sewed in certain areas. Kind of like the sewing machine didn’t go all the way through the material therefore gaps are present in stitched areas. Pants are still sturdy but still a flaw.

Pockets are well placed for function without being too bulky or extending outward too far. Following the advice that they can run slightly small, I ordered the same size as I do in another brand of similar pants that are a bit baggier than I prefer, and the Silver Ridge pants fit perfectly. Roomy enough for easy motion, could wear a base layer underneath if desired, but not too loose and baggy on their own. The included belt is nice quality, not sure how long the plastic "buckle" will hold up but for for now it's just fine, and the belt is plenty long enough to sew on a different type of plastic buckle if desired and ... This is the 6or 7 th pair of these paints i own.. i now have every color. They are very comfortable, durable, good looking, very stain resistant, offer so many pockets. They wash well with few to no wrinkles. The first time i wore the light tan we went for a birthday celebration. The bread served was dripping in butter and of course it dropped on the paints. I thought for sure id be ordering another pair. Well, they washed beautifully. I wear them all year long for almost any occasion. They fit great too.
Remind me of parachute pants. Super light, bizarre fabric. Functional and yet comfy...for 5 minutes. I tried them on, felt good, breathable, belt loops a little small. But they come with their own belt so..meh. Washed them to get the wrinkles out and the waist shrunk a good 2 inches. Length still great, but no way I'm getting them on. Hopefully my son can wear them for a bit so I can get some redemption out of them. Otherwise, a complete loss.
