I have been a fan of Columbia products for a very long time. I wish I could give this a higher rating, but the fact I never received the goods. Columbia and its shipper claim it was delivered to my house at 9:54 PM. The next morning, after a search of my property, I followed the instructions from Columbia's e-mail and contacted the shipper (Laser Ship) with no satisfaction, and then Columbia. Both claim the goods were delivered. I have multiple security cameras at my residence which I have carefully reviewed and I am 100% confident the merchandise was never delivered.Upon receiving an e-mail that the case had been closed I contacted Columbia's service department again and was told there is nothing they can do.Effectively, the shipper's driver claims the package ... MoreI have been a fan of Columbia products for a very long time. Of course, no evidence was provided of how the delivery was made at 10:00 in the evening while avoiding multiple security cameras. My family is an active on-line buyer and we have never had an issue with UPS, FedEx, the USPS or Amazon. Columbia chooses to use another service, and if the goods don't arrive; well that's too bad for the customer. Very disappointing customer service. When placing an order the buyer has the opportunity to select other shipping options. I highly recommend selecting an option that uses a reputable shipper and paying the shipping charge, or ordering a similar product from another vendor that either uses a reputable shipper of values their customer relationships.

Already owned two of these shirts but since I had recently lost weight decided to drop down a size and purchase two more. On my first fishing trip a few weeks ago, while also wearing a new Bass Pro Shop inflatable PFD, I needed to row my small Jon boat on several occasions. It wasn't until a few days later did I realize that the underarm (just below the armpit) on both shirt sleeves were essentially torn to shreds due to the chafing affect with my PFD. So, to "preserve" my other shirt from the same fate, I had to remember to REMOVE my PFD whenever I needed to do any rowing which in hindsight probably not the safest workaround.

I'm very pleased with this shirt. It's cool and lightweight, but not as cool as a cotton knit. The material is a very soft and lightweight ripstop. It drapes nicely and looks good. Runs a little large, buy the smaller size if you are between sizes. The cut is traditional with plenty of girth... maybe a little too much for a skinny guy for me. The cut is also more on the long side. Time will tell if it's durable.

The Tamiami shirt is my favorite for hiking, travel and casual wear. I bought my first Tamiami shirt for hiking in hot weather. I wanted a very lightweight shirt that dried quickly, and the Tamiami shirt preformed so well that I purchased several more. The Tamiami shirt is also good for travel, since it can be washed in a sink and dries quickly. It drapes nicely and can be worn tucked or untucked. Other nice features are 2 chest pockets with snap closures that are not bulky, and buttons that match the fabric color (so they don't stand out).Sizing is larger than normal, but consistent for all the Tamiami shirts I have purchased. I love these shirts for the sun protection while also looking reasonably presentable. I mostly use them for hiking and biking in the warmer months. Last summer, I also biked across Iowa during a heat wave and wore this shirt every day, and found it to be comfortable even in 95-100F temperatures with Iowa humidity. The fit is loose for airflow and the fabric breathes pretty well, especially compared to other similar shirts I've owned from different companies. My complaint is how large these run. I know the fit is intended to be loose, but I normally wear size medium in nearly all clothing and the size small in this shirt feels like a large or extra large on me. I later purchased an extra small, and that actually fits correctly. So I bought two of these fishing shirts and absolutely love them. Please understand, however, that sizes vary dramatically from one company to another, and even within company. I straddle between medium and large, usually large. In trim/slim fit clothing, I am a large because I have large shoulders. In regular or generously sized clothing (Brooks Brother, etc.) I am a trim medium. I ordered the Tamiami long sleeve shirts in large, and they were huge - like my whole family of five could sleep in them huge. I returned them for mediums, which fit better, but are still quite roomy. I've rarely had mediums fit this roomy on me.If you are at all between sizes or a small Large or small XL, order one size down. It will fit and still be big.Not a negative on this ... MoreSo I bought two of these fishing shirts and absolutely love them. I have two shirts for our solar-intense Arizona days in the field. One is this, the other is made by a competitor. I like both a great deal. The Columbia shirt is lighter but seems no less robust in materials. It has a great assortment of pockets that come in handy as I juggle sunglasses, smartphone and equipment in fairly rough terrain. I regard the shirt as an excellent value as well.
I love this shirt! It's light, comfortable, airy, and good looking. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the bold "Columbia" above the pocket (it's sewn on, and I just unraveled it) and, more importantly, the sizing. Be sure to try it on before you buy it or, if you have it shipped, before you cut off the tags. I have worn an XL shirt forever. They are comfortably loose on me. This shirt, in XL, however, looked like a short muumuu on me (OK, I've never worn a muumuu, but you know what I mean.). The L was exactly right.
Fabric is very soft and thin/lightweight. Shirt is way over-sized. Bought for husband who wears an XL and this L shirt was a little large on him. He's 6'1", 212 pounds and the sleeves are baggy and about 2-3" too long. The Columbia Bahama II with long sleeves fit a little bit better but he still needed a L instead of his usual XL; sleeves were not so long on Bahama II, but still longer than usual. He liked the somewhat heavier fabric of the Bahama II better than Tamiami II.
This my 6th Tamiami shirt for hiking and traveling, both short sleeve and long sleeve. They are the very best … lightweight, cool, easy to wash, quick drying … what more do you need?I’ve just travelled around New Zealand for 3 weeks … including hiking and kayaking … and I took only 2 long sleeved shirts … both Tamiami’s. Washed them in the shower and hang-dried them overnight.Sizing is generous so size down from your usual size. I bought a Small and it’s perfect.
