They smell like cloves and have a lasting scent - but it doesn't appear to absorb into the shoes or do anything (or very little) for shoe odor. Kind of annoying to insert and remove everyday. Maybe more useful for shoes in long term storage - not your every day shoes.

really gets rid of shoe odour overnight, the more you use it the better your shoes smell and that no Ew.. when your son takes his sneakers off, easy open and close so nothing is wasted when not in use....inexpensive product that does work
