The DEWALT 8.25 inch compact table saw is maximized for accuracy and capacity. It includes on-board storage for the blade guard assembly, non-through cut riving knife, anti-kickback pawls, blade-change wrenches, miter gauge, and push stick. The powerful 15 Amp, 5800 rpm motor allows users to complete a majority of applications. The rack & pinion fence allows for fast, easy adjustments and provides the capacity to rip 4x8 sheet goods. This table saw is compact in size for easy transportation and storage, and features 24.5 inches of rip capacity for ripping 4x8 plywood or OSB sheets. The power-loss reset prevents accidental restarts following a power disruption when the tool is left in the on position.

Great Table Saw. The folks at DeWalt actually put some thought, detail and engineering into their design. Right down to the diameter of the vacuum hose attachment. My shop vac fits perfectly onto the outlet.Every piece tucks away into the unit for easy storage and transportation. The best feature is the gear operated fence rail that is perfectly square, and a ruler that is accurate down to 1/16 th of an inch. This makes for easy and accurate adjustments for ripping. Quiet operation. Well built.Super Impressed!

This is a perfect saw for the grage carpenter shop or any shop with limited space. I havent found a job this saw couldn't perform including Dado cuts. Granted there isn't the built in capabilities that comes standard as with a 10" saw. However is is possible with the inexpensive accessory you can purchase from Microjig called DADO STOP by MATCHFIT. For about 20 t0 30 dollars you can perform Dado cuts on this saw or any table saw with out changing blades or having to purchase expensive Dado stack sets. So for the small shop carpenters' like myself finally we have a perfect work around for Dado cuts.

This saw has some excellent potential but three things bother me 1) the table has notched sides and the edges slope downwards. It's a complete waste of added material that could otherwise be supporting your workpiece. The previous model DW745 had a plain flat table with square edges and unfortunately is discontinued. 2) To rip widths over 12" you can extend the fence and unfold a supporting edge. Sadly that edge is about 1/4" below the table so it doesn't hold your workpiece level. 3) There are 4 threaded inserts on the bottom side of the frame, presumably for securing it to a workbench. These are 5/16" or 8mm holes but not standard coarse or fine thread pitch. There is no mention of them in the manual and I'm annoyed I cannot find the proper bolts to fit it. -- ... MoreThis saw has some excellent potential but three things bother me 1) the table has notched sides and the edges slope downwards. It's a shame really because this saw beats out every other maker in this category and these things could be fixed without adding cost. I really hope someone at DeWalt is listening for the next iteration of this product.

Other reviews capture why this is a great general purpose saw, so I'll just move on to my one issue... mounting it. The saw doesn't come with mounting bolts, and the bolts that came with the 7440RS stand are too large, and I can't find any official info on it. Some people mention 8mm, but that they don't fit perfectly. Others mount using the diagonal cut holes with lock washers, but this seems like a rig job for a brand new saw and stand made by the same company. I'd rather mount flush using the supplied feet, which also give an extra 1/2" of height. Any help from DeWalt here? What size and length bolt is ideal for using the built-in mounting threads?
As a first-time table saw owner, I spent a fair amount of time reading reviews and ratings, which was how I selected this unit. It was straightforward to assemble, and I would give it 4 or 5 stars, except for the following. It cannot accept a dado setup, which I discovered right after I purchased it; still in the box, so I could have returned it but decided to keep it based on the reviews.Being new to table saws, I had yet to learn of kerf or riving knives, but I knew I would be doing more finish-type projects, so I wanted at least a 40T blade instead of the blade that came with the saw. When I got the additional blade, I discovered it would not work, and I could not find any place to get a riving knife for the thinner blade. If it was still in the box I would ... MoreAs a first-time table saw owner, I spent a fair amount of time reading reviews and ratings, which was how I selected this unit. Overall this is a great saw and you like it enough that you wish there were a few more options. Easy setup. Everything was square and true out of the box. The measurement guides are accurate from 0 to 24.5". The fencing system is easy to use. Nice storage for the wrenches and push stick. I purchased mainly for cutting down plywood so the 24T saw blade it comes with isn't a good choice. I wanted a 60T thin kerf blade but it did not work as the riving knife is wider than the cut and it does not appear dewalt sells a narrower riving knife. The 40T blade from dewalt works pretty good for cutting/cross-cutting finish plywood. I don't care too much for the miter gauge. I know this is a jobsite saw but I am suprised that dewalt doesn't consider options for a ready to buy ... MoreOverall this is a great saw and you like it enough that you wish there were a few more options. Bought this as my first table saw as I’d thought it was good for the price and size. I wish DeWalt would advertise that it does not accept dado blades or proper finishing blades to work with its knife. I bought it last year but finally got to using it yesterday, only to find out about its limitations. I wish I had known sooner so I could exchange it for the 10”. Lack of proper advertising it’s capabilities/limitations on DeWalt’s part.
Saw works great but its limitations are very disappointing. I bought the saw to use it to build cabinets. I spent lots of time building a table for it to sit in only to find out that it WILL NOT accept a ditto blade. Now I have my money and time invested in a saw that will not work for me. Very disappointed! I have many Dewalt tools but this one is disappointing. Guess I will have to find a replacement that I can afford. Just have to wonder how much Dewalt saved by making the motor shaft 1/2” shorter?
I've owned 3 tables saws in my life including this one; and of the 3, this was by far the worst. I bought it as a retirement gift to myself as I've always liked DEWALT Tools and I'd had my old much cheaper Ryobi for about 15 years now. I planned on taking on a few projects around our house and I looked forward to my new table saw as part of that idea.I bought it from Home Depot and after a couple of days of using after what can only be described as a beyond challenging set up; I've discovered that this saw is the poorest design of any saw I've ever had. Oddly enough, the reviews on this saw are very high and I'm still scratching my head how that happened.I bought the saw along with the matching stand, the DW7451 and the designer of the stand to match up to this ... MoreI've owned 3 tables saws in my life including this one; and of the 3, this was by far the worst. Simply a terrible design. Sadly, I'm now soured to DEWALT entirely so I'm thinking I'll sell this saw for as much as I can as a used saw and then look for a better designed and built saw. Certainly NOT a DEWALT...!!!All-in-all a terrible design and poor quality build but I want to reiterate, this is the first DEWALT purchase that I've ever been disappointed with; but it is soooo bad...I'm done with DEWALT.
I recently got the 7485. first time buying a table saw. some aspects are great but it has huge limitations that I wish I had known before buying it - or I would not have purchased. The lack of dado but also how difficult (impossible) it is to get a blade that can make fine cuts and still work with the riving knife. it seems like a 40 tooth blade might be the limit. It looks like this was designed just to chop lumber on a job site but for a DIY person, it does not really work. just getting information about what blades can work on this has been way too hard - and already resulted in buying one blade that was not compatible. so Dewalt seems to make great stuff but this one can't do what i need. i wish they had been much clearer about those limits up front.
