Can't recommend this stove enough. Output is higher than any home gas stovetop I have ever used. The burners are highly adjustable, so you have a full range of intensities from blazing heat to a very low simmer, yet even at the lowest settings wind is barely a problem, unlike most other camp stoves. It uses a lot of gas on full, but you rarely need it up that high because it is truly hot. It's nice to have the option to go to the extreme though, when you need it.On top of the crazy output, it's also very roomy. I can fit a 32cm wok and a 26cm saucepan on there with the side flaps still up. I also use a griddle that is about 50cm wide on it for cooking steaks, which this unit excels at due to the obscene amount of heat it can generate. You can get a really nice char going and still manage quite a rare centre. I even use this at home sometimes because it will cook a steak better than my stove or my bbq. I cooked some nice kangaroo fillet on there today and it was well charred and a tender medium rare. I would never be able to achieve that on my stove.Knobs are starter are fairly solid. Only minor letdown is maybe the outer casing feels slightly flimsy, but I think that's fairly normal for camp stoves. This stove is all about those two burners. I could NEVER go back to anything less than this.

I've had the earlier version of this stove for a few years now and it's been brilliant (the red Primus model before they were re-branded) The newer model has the same amazing burners but the control knob action feels a little weird and spongy (same on a mate's stove) Not the actual knob but the valve action! Still the best stove out there in my opinion except one other issue and that is the base is twisted, and I'm talking a good centimetre of rocking. Another camping mate also bought this model and had the same issue which needed some serious manual twisting and some adhesive non-slip pads on the feet to level it out. The non-slip pads are a great idea anyway. Still an awesome stove.

Great stove. The high heat output makes it more effective in windy conditions - we were able to cook in conditions where our friends were struggling. The big burners also mean that this stove is not suitable for small pots, and it can also burn through the gas quickly.

Reasonably well made for the price. High powered burners with their own wind guards which distribute the flame evenly around the burner. Easy to clean stainless steel drip tray. Plenty of room for large pots & pans. Piezo ignition is easy to use, gas cylinder hose fittings only require hand tightening - no tools. The carry handle is formed into the casing underneath, making it easy to transport.I have even used it as a spare "cook top" when our small kitchen has too many things going on at once, but in a ventilated area !
This stove has excellent burners with good control of heat level, but the build quality lets it down somewhat. The first unit we received had faulty spot welds on one of the burners and it was bent up causing the flame to sputter. Hats off to Snowy's, they replaced it super promptly. Both stoves were somewhat impacted by shipping and could do with better protection like another box with added padding. The lid section was caught on the drip tray in both instances and had to be pried open. The second unit did not sit on the surface flatly until the tension on the drip dray was relieved by loosening the screws slightly, allowing the base to settle, then tightening again. Once again this was probably from knocks during shipping. Overall the feel of the unit is a bit ... MoreThis stove has excellent burners with good control of heat level, but the build quality lets it down somewhat. Once again this was probably from knocks during shipping. Overall the feel of the unit is a bit flimsy, I guess they don't make them like they used too. This drip tray is not removable for cleaning which is disappointing. With great heat comes great gas consumption, we've had to get a bigger gas bottle to last a 3 day camping trip.Great service from Snowy's as always.
Great stove. Heats up super fast. We also purchased the cast iron cooker plate to use with this and were impressed at how quickly it heated up. It sets up easily and is also easy to clean. Easy to control the gas output as well. There is a small issue in that the grate doesn’t appear to be stainless steel as the heat from the burners has caused whatever the coating is to flake off. This doesn’t effect the usage of the stove, but just something to be aware of.
Was looking for something powerful and flexible and this fits the bill. Can both boil water quite fast and also simmer lightly for example to toast bread or thicken a sauce without burning. One concern is the side pieces don't quite line up so had to wiggle them to connect which first use caused the paint to chip. Hopefully won't lead to rust as am otherwise happy with this!
The stove arrived promptly within a few days of ordering. It was easy to set up and and operate, however I did encounter some difficulty lighting it via the Piezo Ignition system. I was advised by staff at the store of a 'quick fix' to remedy the fault. After using this advice, I was able to correct the issue and the stove is now functioning as intended.
initially my first stove arrived damaged from transit couldn't open it, Snowys outdoors sent a new replacement straight away. the best customer service you could ask for. it's a great unit, large in size compared to others but it suits all my household size cooking equipment. simple, robust and effective design.
awesome flame output with sensitive and accurate control. reasonable build quality. good design specs. love the size, the large pot capacity and that the lid and wind guards can be left down if not needed. i upgraded from a coleman fyreknight product for the high output without the dicky burner control. i find the overall design better. i like the portability and no-frills-no-disposable gas canister factor. this is our primary camping cooking unit and serves us extremely well. very satisfied.
